Pool tables and bar on one end of the building and the band playing and tables/chairs in the other end. The service was good. Beer is about half the cost of Nashville, which is good. The Rachel Johnson Band was playing and they were very good! I understand this is their first time here and I was glad to be there to see them. Oh yes, $5 cover because of the band. Pay attention to the tip jug when it goes around. There is a white one and a yellow (yella) one. I put a tip in the yellow one and found out it was for the waitresses. That sucked because I tip when I buy a drink!

His show consists of many of his old hits and comedic stories (my wife can't get the chicken story out of her head), accompanied by a small orchestra. Dinner is optional, consisting of baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, a great dinner roll and a non-alcoholic drink. Not great, but not bad either. I'd say it's worth it ($20 per). A million years ago, Green's Grocery was really a grocery. Think old southern country store, complete with a front porch and wood with glass insert front door that I'm sure had a little school bell attached to the top. Years ago, at least 10 I can recall, the grocery went away, the community of Leiper's Fork became hip, and Green's Grocery became a private events venue, especially for live music. They didn't do BBQ like Puckett's that suddenly took off like crazy, and a just a little far from the rest of the hamlet to be featured in Southern Living or get a camera shot on American Pickers. You park out front, along the side, or in the overflow lot down the street a bit, and enter through the old front porch, open that original door, and now to your right is a permanent stage adorned with the original store sign, a deer head or two, some old musical instruments, and whatever décor accessory of the moment ended up stuck on the wall. (Yes, I would love to have taken photos for you. But we were at a work party for hubby, and he made me promise no phone photos for yelp, I was the meet and greet wife this time. OK.....) To your left is usually set up as a bar, and beers were chilling in an elevated old bathtub. Works for me. They have a more traditional bar alongside, that usually has elevated benches that mingle amongst the four tops and six tops with random ladder back and spindle type chairs. Think Cracker Barrel if it wasn't franchised. There's the former back porch for more seating just past the serious sound board station, make no mistake - this place is accustomed to live music. The event that we attended had a tent out back where the catering was set up (fairly large crowd) and if the weather had been better, we'd have taken up residence at the rocking chairs set up beside a cozy fire pit. Darn rain! Our event was catered externally I believe, so commenting merely on the venue (since that's what they are), it's a nice place. You definitely feel like you have left the city, whether your city is Franklin or Nashville, and it has a homey feel while also have that rustic country charm, too. They do things simply here. After everybody eats, the wait staff will pull out 3-4 tables and chairs onto the front porch to make room for a dance floor. Cowboy boots aren't required, but generally strongly encouraged. Second, Hillary Duff (raised on Disney & Rock n Roll lol). This time I parked, and what a NIGHTMARE!! It took us 1.5 HOURS to get out of the parking lot. I live 15 minutes from the venue. Got into my car at 10:40 and didn't get home until 12:30, if that tells you about the control they have on their parking. $26 high noons and then want you to tip - absolute rip off. There are other bands I want to see here but I will look for other venues first. I'm not sure if I will return or not. It's almost quicker and easier to just go to Nashville.

We also ordered our concessions to be ready when we arrive. Parking was super-easy and free in the large parking lot. We were nicely greeted as we walked in and directed to our theater. Our popcorn and drink cups were ready at the express pick-up shelf. I filled our sodas while the daughter buttered the popcorn. The lobby/concession area was well kept. The theater was super-clean. The a/c was perfect. The recliners seemed newer than other AMCs. They worked well and were very comfortable. We had no issues with the sound or picture quality. All this made for a perfect movie going experience in watching The Odyssey for 3 hours.

This taproom, near the corner of 51st and Centennial, is a small, but mighty space featuring a cozy and vibey inside and a nice patio. Both spaces are outfitted with a variety of seating from standard to cozy to bar stools and high tops. We have enjoyed drinks here on a few occasions since the rebrand and somehow the PB&J Mixtape always ends up in at least one of our hands! Majority of their beers lean fruit forward, but hey also have a few hoppy beers, and of course a couple of light and dark options. I go between something light and dark, and really enjoyed the Chop It Up, which is a house ale. Definitely will be my go-to here! In addition to all the goods on tap, they have a good variety of merch and canned beers that you can mix and match, or take a set of home. Service is solid, slightly hit and miss depending on the bartender. Some engage a bit more with you, especially if you are asking about the menu, others are a bit quick and want to keep things moving, which I can understand. The space is well laid out, but due its size, the front end can get backed up pretty easily as the ordering station is near the front of the bar, which is only a few feet from the entry door. So, be mindful when coming in. Even with lines, they move pretty quick, so never an issue beyond the initial back up. Overall, cool space, nice rebrand and a great spot for a good beer in The Nations!
