3 workers here have stood out to me one lady in perfumes one Hispanic lady in James Avery and a older white lady I saw her today her nam is Betty she helped me out today at the James Avery dept it's not her department but the lady who was working there saw my boyfriend and I walk over and she walked away talked to another worker he pointed at us for her to help us and she followed him up the escalator leaving no one in the department. Betty came over and helped the best she could. If you'd shopping James Avery tons of silver options limited gold items. First off -- Dillard's is a department store. There are both pros and cons to being a department store. That said.... 1. Dillard's has the best handbag selection I've found in the area. So good it's actually dangerous. 2. Dillard's has a great shoe department. If you don't find something you like, it doesn't exist. 3. They always have great deals going on and terrific loyalty discounts for those that use their credit card. 4. This is probably one of the only places I've ever heard of where you can use your member loyalty discount on makeup. That is NOT a typo. 5. Depending on the brand of clothing you love, you're either going to rejoice or be bummed. Calvin Klein for ladies? Check! Eileen Fisher. Check! I agree that customer service can be hit or miss. If you're a regular shopper, find a store rep you like and come when that person is working. They'll appreciate your loyalty and work hard for you! read more

Diana, Spent time explaining different colognes, she made sure we weren't pressured told us to walk around the store after we used the sample, she said wait a while see if you like it. Went to the Lancome counter on Saturday. I was going in to purchase a specific item from Lancome after about 20 minutes of going round and round with the representative about how I should pre-order it and save myself $25 and come back in a week and pick it up I gave up. I didn't want to come back in a week to pick it up. I wanted to purchase the product now which I proceeded to do as well as adding a $50 product to the order to get the promoted price. She had to ask me one more time. Why don't I pre-order and it made no sense to me why do I need to preorder. I'm buying it now. I walked out of the store humiliated. I did not buy anything. I left. I went home and ordered my products curbside. I will never buy another product from that Lancome Representative. You made me feel like I was a Moran. Thanks. She pushed too hard on her promo. Though they do have some of their own store brands, like sleep sense. I got some cute holiday doggy pj bottoms. If you catch it right you can find some good deals. I was in Dillards trying to return a birthday gift. It was a very hoot robe , that I am sure many of us, Floridians will understand that it is just too hot. This particular robe was $109 which is fine it's from Dillards. I loved it. It is just too warm so I was going to return it and purchase some pajamas that I could wear throughout the summer time. That being said I stood in line I waited while THE and I use this term. Lightly lady waited on customers in front of me who were returning things and who were buying things in heat of a little bit more trouble causing than I would have been so now it's my turn I get up there and I say you know my husband is very sweet, but I am just not going to use this rose so I would like to return it and purchase something that I will use the look on this woman's face of pure disgust and the actual audacity for her to say what did you wear it in a snotty town not in a customer service town whatsoever I said, no, ma'am I did not wear it. It's in Florida. She now starts to inspect every nook and cranny of said robe and I am still fine with that until she starts asking questions not questions that I heard her ask the previous customers just maybe because I'm younger this way that she treated me for a simple return. It was not her product it was not her money. She makes way less money than I am a business owner. I am in there shopping frequently and I have never been treated with such disrespect. She tried to humiliate me just for returning a product which I was going to turn around and buy more products from that store. I will not go somewhere to spend my money for some woman who knows me from nothing. She knows me from Adam to to treat me or make me feel like a second class citizen. I will not in my lifetime walk back into that store. I was going to spend a lot of money that day. I needed shoes I needed belts I needed make up. I needed pants. I wanted to buy some shirts. I was going to buy some lingerie. I was going to buy things because I was out shopping that day now because I had free time but because that's the day that I set aside to go shopping and get the things that I had me get been neglecting getting so too this woman working in women's undergarments and pajama section. Whatever you wanna call it, she has no business being in the public side. She is not good for the business. She is a snotty judgmental, very crude individual, and as long as she is working in that store, and I have to look at her and see her turn her nose down at people just because she thinks she's better than them. She is a cashier you can be a cashier you can flip burgers you can clean toilets, but do your job to the best of your ability she think she's better than someone and she is better than no one. I am so offended. I am so disappointed and now I have to find a new place to take my children's school shopping to go get my Mother's Day presents wedding gifts anything that I would ever purchase from Dillards will never be purchased again. She was not only mean to me she was me to the lady that was sitting in a wheelchair door next to me, she could not be bothered to walk around her counter to go and see if she could help this woman who was sitting there waiting for help. Whoever owns Dillard. Whoever is in charge of Dillards hiring I suggest you do a better job and you pick through these people who are going to put you out of business. She is a miserable stuck up snotty better than everybody individual I wish I could remember her name. In fact, I'm going to go in there this weekend to get her name so that I can come back and I can tell you her name if she ever treats me like that again should I ever decide to go shop there again there will be a huge problem. Shopping isn't fun for me, I have issues when trying things on, I'm always feeling insecure. I graduate college in a few weeks and it was very important to me to find something nice that I felt beautiful in. I came in with a couple ideas and with my boyfriend for support. Instantly we realized that the dresses I came looking for weren't the ones I felt best in, this was when we met Olga. Olga's customer service is unmatched. She was so sweet, constantly checking up on me, and she gave me several pointers to help find stuff that I'd feel better in. I felt so cared about the entire time. Flash forward to later that evening, I bought a dress that I fell in love with, left and thought to myself all evening how incredible and helpful she was. I understand that this is a department store, however, I don't understand the part where an employee is rude to my mother-in-law because she has my three-year-old son with her! He was not misbehaving, but he was rolling one of his little trucks around when an employee asked if she was "done chasing his truck around for him yet". So rude and unprofessional. This store reminds me of Macy's. I was comfortable in there. Some decent sales. Easy to get around and find things. They keep everything neat and orderly. I didn't get approached by sales associates because the nature of my business there was to do 'the business' lol I'm sure if I went in to find a pair of shorts or something, they would have it, but I went to use the 'facilities'. Nice and clean inside the ladies restroom and the tissue paper and toilet seat protectors were replenished. Counters kept clean. No splash marks on the mirror. read more

Dillards does carry nice things. You can always find what you're looking for but in the two times I've shopped in this one, I've had very poor customer service. 1. I was buying Waterford Crystal and the MSRP said $60.00 for two pieces of stemware. Right next to that price tag, it had $70.00. I told the sales clerk I'd buy them for the manufacturer's suggested retail price. I was buying a few. She called over the manager who said to her.."they should have covered that MSRP sticker up". I was shocked that Dillards wanted to overprice the stemware by $10! 2. I bought $675 worth of clothes and when they rang it all up , the computer froze and i couldn't get my receipt. After trying for 40 minutes, they re-rang everything on another register. :( I checked my bank and the charges went through twice. they said it would drop off but it didn't... after 7 days, it processed. So i called for a refund and they told me they were too busy and to come by tomorrow??!! wow. I called back and asked for customer service and they promised to call me back and never did. (called them twice) So i went by the next day and was treated like i did something wrong and they didn't show the extra ring up and did i have the other receipt? Nope.. that was the problem.. your computer malfunctioned and i couldn't get my receipt . Then they asked if i tried calling my bank??? Finally, they admitted that they charged me twice. I asked for cash back and they gave me a hard time.. again like I did something wrong! No apologies for causing me a lot of time and money.. just treated me like trash. They have no respect for anyone. I will never shop here again for two reasons. 1. no customer service. 2. Overpricing things above retail! read more

I travel, alot, and this is my absolute favorite Dillard's in the country. It is clean, the staff is friendly and I always get amazing deals. The women's section is well stocked with many different designers at different price points. The store also has a women's lingerie section in the regular lingerie section with is AWESOME. Parking on the south side of the store is convenient with available spaces, some even with shade. Just writing this review makes me want to go shop. read more

I had already left his area thinking they were out of stock, but Wayne happened to discover the shirt I was looking for in a batch that was literally fresh off the truck in the back room. I had stopped shopping at Dillard's a few years ago due to a customer service nightmare at the Naples, Fl. store, but finally decided to wander in while visiting the Coconut Point store this weekend. I did find a few items, and decided to use my debit card. I was told I needed to call my bank! There is nothing wrong with my card! The clerk said this happens often, and was apologetic. I used another card, went on my way, only find that now my card has a security block. It took ten minutes on the phone to get it released. Very annoyed. They once again made making a purchase a hassle. I am done with Dillard's. Plus it would be nice if they could spring for actual shopping bags rather than throw a dress into a plastic bag that resembles something I would be handed at the grocery store. read more

This was my first experience at Dillard's, and frankly, I wouldn't go back. I am in town from MN and decided to stop in while at the Coconut Point mall. My mom and I were looking at some discount jewelry and decided to get a few pieces. We walk over to the check out and wait for ten minutes while the clerk is helping an older lady decide what piece of jewelry to buy. Finally we were able to check out. The jewelry was on a table that said it was an additional 30% off the lowest price. The total was extremely high and my mother questioned this. The lady said that not all the jewelry is on sale, just the jewelry with the style number ending in 65. This was not stated anywhere on the sign. We feel like this was a way of tricking customers into thinking they are purchasing discount material. My mom decided she didn't want the jewelry if it wasn't on sale, but I still had one piece I wanted to buy. The woman went over to another customer and started helping her, leaving me standing there. We walked over to another counter and waited while a clerk was helping a customer. Frustrated that no one seemed to want to ring us up, we walked to a THIRD counter where the clerk was attentive and quickly checked us out. I wasn't sure I even wanted the item by the end of the ordeal. HUGE hassle. read more
