was looking for a formal dress for tonight because the dress I ordered did not arrive. there were many women in the store but I noticed that they were all being asked by the sales reps if they needed help however myself and the other black lady were being passed over no eye contact as they breezed back and forth past us like they had somewhere they were rushing to only to go stand at the cash register by themselves. The others were gossiping with each other behind the dresses. They were Indian/Pakistani or something like that. My assessment is that they were behaving this way because we were black since their demeanor with the white patrons was competent open and welcoming. I'm sure I don't have any need to shop at Dillards just to be treated this way. too bad I didn't take their pictures or I would post them. standby, I may go back to get their photos. read more

This Dillard's at the Oakview Mall is always bright and clean. Business and people volume is not what I have seen recently and I hope this store survives since several major retailers have left or gone out of business Most associates are very friendly and I noticed the majority of them are beyond college aged, more mature and long term employees. The offerings are good with variety and once in a while, an item with a reduced sales price will catch your eye. Clean bathrooms and clear aisles are appreciated. read more

This worst place to work if youre trying to find a job. Terrible managemnet, no one cares what you have to say. The manager has been working there for 10 years, never wanting to leave this place, yet taking it out on everyone around her. With that fat assistant. They treat employee unprofessional if he has an issue ,and treated employee based on how many credit cards he got .unpleasant work environment , they fight like kids over sale otherwise they will be fired if they couldn't meet sales goal. What a complete and utter disappointment the staff in the womens formal attire. I purchased a formal gown for my daughters wedding in May and literally 4 days later the dress was marked down 40% off. Never worn, tags still on the gown- yet the staff would not do the price match. I suggested I return and and re-purchase. She said no they do not do it that way. The sales lady was a complete snob- said to return it and come back everyday until they mark down and put back into the rack. Like seriously? No thanks- I purchased on line from Macy's (the exact same dress) and the company matched the sale price at Dillards- They will be the next one to go under unless they change their way. Kudos to Macy's who apparently still wants to keep their client base. read more

Instead of putting the customer first and doing the right thing they insisted that I re-purchase it have the mail it to me for free then go up to the store and use their resources at the store to return the item from the full price to be able to get the current price. When I asked to escalate it they were unwilling to allow me to do that without writing customer service experiences I have ever had. Preface: This rating is SOLELY based upon my experience with the men's cologne counter, specifically, my encounter with the tall gentleman with the shaved head. I go to Dillard's once in a while for certain things that Walmart doesn't carry. An MK purse for my daughter-in-law, a higher-end tie for a gift for my husband, and sometimes for certain sales. I mean, we all know what it is...a beautiful store with a decent selection of overpriced merchandise, and a staff....all of whom seem to be unhappy about being there. Truly, it has always seemed odd to me that I can walk into most drugstores or gas stations and be greeted when I buy a 99 cent candy bar, but I can literally wonder for hours through Dillard's without being greeted by anyone...when the price point is a hundred times more. This week I was looking to purchase some cologne for my husband. I do like the selection at the Dillard's counter, so there I went. As I walked up to the large counter, I saw one man, (mid to late 20's?) behind the counter. He was wearing regular street clothes, complete with a hooded sweat shirt, and was leaning across the glass counter visiting with someone. I became unsure as to whether or not this gentleman worked there at all, as he had no nametag, and paid absolutely no attention to the fact that I was wanting to purchase something from him. After some time, another customer walked right up to the counter and interrupted the man's conversation by wanting to check out. I was a bit behind this customer as I watched him try to make pleasant conversation with the employee (as it turns out, he actually is employed at Dillard's) at the counter. The employee COMPLETELY ignored the customer's attempt at being polite, rang up the sale, and completed the transaction. I was very put off by the way the kind customer was treated, and I decided to leave myself. I went across the mall and spent my money elsewhere. I don't think it is necessary to be fake or super sweet to every customer, but when someone is actually being nice to you at your job, the proper thing to do is to acknowledge them....especially when you are paid to do so.....especially when they are paying top dollar in a store like Dillard's. I mean, people can go to Walmart and get treated like shit for 1/4 of that price. Competition in the retail industry is fierce these days, and I have two words for the management at the Oak View Mall Dillard's if they keep allowing their staff to be rude to customers: CROSSROADS MALL. read more

It's one thing if the Dillard's Clearance store in Council Bluffs is filthy, but why do the dressing rooms at Oakview Dillard's have to be so gross? I cringed when having to set my clothes on the floor or take of my shoes and stand on that carpet. Honestly, very dirty. When it came time to check out with my purchase, there was nobody at the counter in the formal dress section which is perfectly fine so I walked to another area. The two cashiers argued in front of me about who would get to ring up my purchase, with one saying she needed it for her review coming up in May. The other cashier looked at me and said, "I am the one that put you in the dressing room! Tell her!" when in fact I had never seen either of them before in my life because I hadn't even been shopping or trying on clothes in that part of the store. It was awkward and not very professional. The one thing this Dillard's has going for itself is a good show selection. read more

But thankfully Dillards in Oakview Mall gives us a little taste and a little hope to dress in fashion forward duds. All the sales people in Dillards have been amazing to me, helping me find a perfect dress for a wedding or browsing the clearance rack for the special half price sweater. I have literally spent hours and hours walking around the upper level of Dillards in all of the fashion. read more

This Dillard's creating a fake listing for a Crocs store to try to get more business. The store doesn't exist and the address and phone number are for Dillard's but the business listing is for a Crocs store. They don't even carry Crocs shoes anymore. It is cruel to try to fool consumers like this. I drove all the way there from Lincoln, wasting a tank of gas and 2 hours to go to a Crocs store, only to find out I was going to Dillard's. I have Dillard's in Lincoln, so I wouldn't need to go to Omaha if I wanted to shop there. Shame on you! read more

I will never shop this store again! I placed an order online with the ship to store option. The website said I would receive within 3 business days and the tracking information showed shipping: expedited. When I tried to check my shipping status 2 days later I was told that the ship to store option takes up to 7 business days and I would be notified by the store when it arrives. No where in the ordering process was this listed. It actually still says on the website today if order placed expedited shipping you will receive in 3 business days -which is what my shipping shows - I can not believe this store is getting away with such blatant incorrect information. It's false advertising and last time I checked that was illegal. read more
