Honestly speaking the food was better when it was taste of Cochin, the buffet items are not as good, especially the South Indian, they used to have mathi(sardine )fry in the buffet and kappa, now I dont know if it's based on the day you go, they don't have some of the items that taste of Cochin had, also it's gotten more spicy than before. I only go there now if it's a mandatory family function, otherwise I feel for Kerala food it's better to go somewhere else like in Jericho or union turnpike. read more

We order ed garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, tandori chicken and Malai kofta. Garlic naan delicious.... We did order too many because we didn't know how big it was Chicken tikka masala delicious and using garlic naan to dip ... Yum chef's kiss Chicken Biryani - chicken was dry and had the breast bone (rib cage) - but not a fan Malai kofta - first time having this dish... A bit on the spicier sign. Great for dipping. Had driven by this place many times so figured it was finally time to try it out. Ordered on the phone and had some difficulty hearing the hostess, which I didn't think much about until I got there and realize she thought I had ordered 2 of the main dishes (I had ordered one). While she was fine to take the second one away, she had a pretty large scowl on for the remainder of the interaction, especially after I paid and told her to have a nice day. Regardless, the food was okay. The vegetable samosas were probably my favorite part, nicely crispy without being too fried and the chutneys were nice. Good size and price. Opted for the saagwala, which really was just fine. It's described as being creamy but it isn't so much creamy as more mushy. The portion is robust, including the amount of meat, which makes up for the price (albeit this price is pretty standard for Indian food in the area). The meat itself was fairly chewy and could have been a bit more tender. And there was a good amount of fatty pieces that I didn't love. Was torn between ordering naan and malabar parotta. Ultimately went with the latter and regretted it. It was probably made fine but I really didn't think it added anything to the meal in the way that naan would have- so this may just be my bias rather than the restaurant. The location itself is accessible enough with plenty of street parking nearby. Not sure how busy it gets as I picked up takeout at 6PM and was the only person there. The menu is pretty extensive and I haven't found a great Indian restaurant in the area, so could consider coming back to try something else. I do wish they had more appetizer options, though, as all of them are fried. read more

Just have to drop a quick review. I could not find an All You Can Eat Indian restaurant during the weekdays and this was my last hope. The price is so reasonable $16-17. Superb. Great atmosphere the place is very clean. The food has the right amount of spice and kick. Everything was great. We bought Nan basket, 2 chicken biryanis, 1 lamb briyani, 1 chicken tikka curry and 1 chilli chicken via Door dash. The chicken quality in curry and briyani was horrible. We had to throw the food away. No one in my family wanted it. The biryanis both chicken and lamb left a bad taste in mouth. Again it went to the garbage. The Nan had embedded hair inside. I have attached photos. Only the chicken chilli was below average. Worst food ever. Never will order from here again. read more

Went in for a quick dinner as I was craving Indian cuisine. As soon as my partner and I placed our order, the food arrived less than 5 minutes later. This review is solely based on their lunch buffet. We were on route to our usual spot for Indian food for lunch when we saw this place. It's been opened recently, so we figured we'll come in and give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The selection is pretty standard for Indian fares for a lunch buffet. The service was ok and will probably improve with time, as it is a brand new business. The food was hot and fresh albeit slightly fewer choices than other places, but it was all very tasty and fresh. The place is very clean and the service was friendly. Price of the meal was good. We will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes. I do highly recommend trying their lunch for a quick bite. read more

As staff at LIJ, we've ordered takeout here a couple of times and the food is always fresh! So far, I've tried the garlic and regular naan, the Chicken Makhni, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Palak Paneer- all of my usual favorites! The portions are enough to share and the chicken is tender and juicy. I will say the first time I ordered takeout to bring home, the Palak Paneer didn't have much paneer in it, but the next time I ordered, it had more. The naan has always been soft and fresh, too! They haven't disappointed us yet and we will keep ordering here when our unit craves Indian food! read more

I realized I made a mistake coming here as soon as I saw the beef dish in the buffet line. If an Indian restaurant serves beef, it's not Indian. The chicken tikka was dry, and the naan was not fresh since you had to pick it up from the buffet line where it must have been sitting for an hour or two. The chicken tikka masala was pretty standard, but cold like the rest of the buffet line. The service was abysmal, but as another reviewer says, I think it will improve with time. I would not come back here on the weekend to spend $25 and get this quality of food. You and I will both be better served elsewhere. read more

First of all, they forgot my fish curry, I went back immediately to get it, then after opening all my dishes at home, I now realized I didn't have my Chicken curry, a full tray for 20 ppl, I mean do I need to open up every single dish in front of them to confirm I received everything I ordered before I got home ??? Seriously what kinda BullF'nShit is that, then the beef olarthia, let me tell you something...it was just horrible... horrible...it wasn't even done properly, just boiled up beef in masala, not done at all as you know, not fried in mustard seeds and onions and no curry leavers, where is my curry leaves Dibur?? half done beef olarthia tasted like cardboard, I enclosed a pic below to show you guys before ever ordering from here, I'm so disgusted and embarrassed because it was my aunt's 80th birthday party, 20 other uncles and aunties all complaining telling me they can make it better, and they did, the poor birthday girl redid the whole beef olarthia, I think she felt bad for me, cooked it again before eating it, how embarrassing!!! The previous ownership was 100% better, only reason I thought of ordering from here. Won't make that mistake again... I gave them a one star because half star was not available but the food was ready on time for pick up maybe because they cooked it a week before. The whole tray of mixed grill had old chicken that had gone bad...the chicken smelled like it was recooked after sitting out. And it tasted awful.
