Let me just say the lender I spoke to was trying to pre-approve me and they would pay for my closing cost if I were to use their realtor. I chose to stay with my aunt whose a realtor. She told me that was illegal for them to force me to use their realtor so despite of their closing cost benefit, I did got pre-approved and went with a new home built anyways and they paid my closing cost. If I could give this 0 stars I would. The first leg of the process was fine. Everything up to the close was a mess. Not only was the responses not timely, they messed up the closing cost by over $1000, they paid the wrong insurance. Then the day of closing, which was dragged for a week of when it was initially meant to close, the lender did not respond to anyone. We had our realtor, ourselves, and the escrow company trying to reach her, and we didn't hear from her till 3 days later. 2 weeks after being in our home, I'm still getting emails and trying to figure out what the hell was even done.
