Andrew Leavitt is and always will be our go-to mortgage broker.
We weren't the easiest clients to work with, but Andrew made it look easy. We came to Andrew due to our firing of our last mortgage broker, who would 'go dark' when certain challenges would confront her in the process. Nalei Piena, our realtor with Realty One, recommended Andrew, and my wife and I are forever grateful.
I've been in the industry. Following an 8 year run that culminated in becoming general manager for a couple of mortgage companies in Chicago, I know exactly what Andrew was facing.
Since my arrival in Vegas, my income history was in shambles. Medical reasons explained for some abrupt stops in my career track and complicated the process. Andrew took it like a champ.
Let me tell you, those who are still looking for a reputable and reliable mortgage broker, look no further than Andrew. Even in my heyday, I don't know of ANY mortgage brokers who would stay until 10:30 PM in the office to see the job done for a loan that had little to no financial reward. His tenacity has no equal. Like a samurai facing an insurmountable foe, he already had a plan and process. Moreover, he had backup plans in place that he shared with us so there were no surprises.
Here's why he's the best:
* He returns calls. If he doesn't pick up, he'll text and let you know he got your call.
* He lays out realistic expectations. He won't sugar coat things either. Your best bet in producing a successful outcome is replying with the requested documents ASAP.
- Unless you spend the day outside of the IRS office in 102 degree heat waiting to explain why there was a discrepancy in your 2014 taxes - you can't complain lol.
* He will allay your fears. Knowing the complexity of our loan, my imagination was running away with me at times. I often asked him if he could get us closed (still picking up and returning all my calls). He always reassured my wife and I that everything would be ok and it was.
* As difficult as my loan was, I know that were I in his position, I could have easily (and probably would have) justified a worthy origination. We had the money. Andrew didn't. He took less than he deserved.
* He'll leave you with a lasting impression. This is a good dude. Good people are very hard to find. Genuine people in Las Vegas are even more rare. He is both. Andrew and Nalei have become dear friends of ours since our closing and we look to some better memories to create in the near and very distant future. read more
