Came in and worked with Dave. Apple MacBook with the dreaded key caps falling off issue after a couple of months. Full AppleCare+ on the device. Made a reservation through Apple. When I arrived they wanted to charge me a $99 diagnostic fee, and told me it would likely cost me $300 for a keyboard replacement as AppleCare doesn't cover keyboard defects. This is even before looking at the issue in depth. Called them out on it, and the person helping me was a little too "grippy" with my device after I asked for it back. Got the device back into my hands navigating the awkward not letting go of my device, and called Apple immediately after. From some other reviews looks like they overcharge for covered warranty work, in hopes of getting a lien on peoples devices and selling it. Whatever their shady motivations Watch Out! Apple said absolutely covered under warranty and AppleCare+ accidental (if not a warranty repair) and would be $99 if it was damaged caused by me regardless of extent of damages. This place is a bunch of scammers, came here to support a local business instead of going to the mall Apple Store. I can only imagine what they do to older and less informed people. **UPDATE**: As expected, Apple shipped me out a box next day, shipped device in, and it came back next day. My daughter is a college student who brought her MacBook Pro in for service. They said they repaired the laptop but when she got home it wasn't fixed. She came home to bring it to the apple store. According to apple they only ran tests on the computer which apple said should have only taken 5 minutes instead of the 1.5 hours they charged her for. On top of that they did not replace any parts which would be the only reason to charge according to apple. When I called the store asking for a refund they told me they fixed the laptop and were unwilling to refund money that we paid. read more

Took my computer to this business to get help after Microsoft did a reset. Sunrise did an excellent, excellent job getting me up and running again in a very timely manner. Came home and forgot one thing so called them and they walked me through what I needed to do. Definitely will use them again and I recommend them! read more

All I can say is wow! Shane was a Godsend! My fathers iPhone was locked up after too many passcode attempts and I spent 4 hours on the phone with Apple. Had others try to fix it. Even had an IT guy working on it. Nope. Then someone suggested Sunrise and Shane fixed the issue in 30 minutes. The next day setting it back up I was faced with more problems and went back to Shane and he was extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind and not only set it up for us but took the time to arrange apps and etc to make it more easily usable for 89yo dad. About a year ago I went to this place in hopes of them restoring my laptop that my now passed away dad had given me. They ripped me off with their outrageous prices and so I was left with nothing. So I didn't end up getting it back because of the travel it took to get there.... Then found out later they resold it to a person named Arthur. I have mixed feelings about Sunrise, but lean more towards the negative. The positive experiences were when we bought our iPad, and went back awhile later to buy a nice case for the iPad. I wasn't present for the iPad purchase, but heard it was a good experience. I went along for the case purchase as I wanted to see the store. The man helping us was nice, although did try to up-sell right off the bat (but that is his job). Aside from the fact that the building could use a few touch--ups, it wasn't all that bad of an experience. However, that opinion changed. My husband had build a computer from the ground up for his father. Spending around $2000 on parts, he had quite a machine built. He shipped it via UPS, but something happened during transit and it was DOA. Some pieces were damaged beyond repair, and the computer wouldn't turn on. Part of the insurance claim process through UPS was to have a third party computer repair company take a look at it, confirm any issues claimed, and come up with an estimate for repair. My husband went to Sunrise to inquire about having it done there. The man who helped him said they were backed up with computer repairs, and they'd call him when they caught up and had time. A week went by and no call. When my husband asked about it again, he spoke with a different man who told him they wouldn't be able to do that for him. He also had no knowledge of my husband ever being there and giving his information to be contacted. Niiiice. After more discussion, the man at Sunrise agreed they could take a look at the computer and verify damages and dead components. They charged about $40. They wrote up their findings with an estimate for if they were to repair it. It took several days to complete, but my husband was not pleased with how they handled the situation. He was also not pleased at how they didn't seem to care. He would never trust them to actually fix a computer. So there-in lies my mixed feelings. I think when it comes to sales, as long as you're not easily swayed into spending more money that you want, you should have a decent experience. On July 11, 2013, my Dell PC was dead. I had turned it off the night before without showing any problem. I worked in the computer servicing business many years ago. I suspected the power supply was the issue. I landed on the only computer service store in Gettysburg, PA: iNet Technology Group 233 Buford Ave Gettysburg, PA 17325 RE: Invoice #1088 7/11/2013 (cost $39.75 for worse-than-nothing)... Their diagnostics was: "The motherboard is dead! The power supply is OK! Your best option is a new PC (we will pay for your hard drive as it can be used as a replacement!)" I took my PC from iNet to Sunrise Computers in nearby Chambersburg, PA. The techies at Sunrise Computers figured out the real problem -- the power supply. As they showed me expected business honesty, I also wanted them to upgrade the RAM of my PC to the max. They certainly did a professional job, as I use my newly fixed PC for this communication. Evidently, it is my duty as a citizen to bring this issue to the attention of government agencies as well. I can only think of families with kids, when children's' computers go bad -- and they need a fix quickly and reliably and honestly... As for quality of job done by them I guess I really don't have any complaints. They know their work and they do it well. However their customer support or just getting to you promptly? Absolutely horrible. I've had to personally pursue them, call about my order over the span of 3 months for 2 computers. The job that could be done could've been finished easily within a week, and has been done within a week by other electronic repair shops. They just forgot that they had my stuff.... about 3 times. I had called 2 weeks after dropping off my stuff since I never received a response and they had not even ordered the proper materials to do the repair. They said they had to wait on my permission. During those 2 weeks I had received 2 calls from their receptionist confirming that they were allowed to work on it. Waited to see if it would be done and called myself after 2 weeks went by. They haven't even started it and they asked if they were allowed to go ahead with the repair and fix it.... and for the third time I said yes. Another 2 weeks by. They only finished one computer at this time. The other computer is as in for a damaged track pad, which they needed permission to order in (which I have told them from the initial times that they called and asked to work on said computer, that they were fully allowed to go ahead with the job and the required parts.... I had this conversation 3 times with 2 different people from there) so I tell them go ahead once more. I wait a week and I pick it up. They did their work well but they can not communicate at all. Three times I had to confirm the same question from them about confirming to order parts needed. 3 times 2 different people 2 weeks after I have both of my computers I get a call from them again. They said "sir your computer is done, both are ready to pick up!" "I already picked them up and paid for them" "Hmm... sir it shows that you haven't..." "Miss I have the receipt and the two computers... do you see said computers physically in your inventory?" "What color are they?" You get the gist of it. Eventually she runs around asks people and finally confirms that it's nowhere to be found in their building. An order that was done literally half a month ago. Messy messy messy customer service. Took over 2 1/2 months for them to finish a jobs that takes less than a week. They have the audacity to charge a 65-80 dollar inspection fee to have checked out within that week. Well maybe they were slammed and had a lot of orders? There's about 3 other shops out there for electronic repairs I use. Had the same job or similar job done by them and alllll of them except sunrise could finish it within a week or 2. Sunrise I had to call and pursue myself. They will not call you and when they do it'll be much too late. read more

My IPhone 8 Plus locked up so I went to my local phone service provider and unfortunately they were of absolutely no help. Went to Best Buy and they tried hard for quite some time but had no success. Contacted Apple Support and they recommended Sunrise Computers and Electronics. I called them from my landline and they answered right away and were very accommodating and scheduled an appointment for me to meet with them the next day. The next day I arrived a bit early yet they saw me right away. I had the pleasure to deal with Shane Henry, he had a can do attitude and would not accept defeat. He was very professional and very respectful. He spoke to me in terms a layman could understand, after a brief time he got the phone working better than ever, not only did he get the phone working he took the time to educate me on my phone and taught me many things about my phone. All the staff there were friendly and cheery and I observed them deal with other customers and everyone seemed very pleased. Their building was clean and there was plenty of parking. I spend much of my day confined to a powered wheelchair and I was easily able to maneuver around their store. Five stars is not enough of a rating for them, I'd give them ten stars if I could. This is the place to go to, no matter how close or far if your looking for a stellar experience. read more
