Bottom line: the job got done, and I am now a very happy home owner, though I can't say it's all thanks to my agent. There were a number of mistakes and omissions on her part, and on more than one occasion, I had to correct her misinterpretation of important contractual details. As a first-time buyer, this inattention to detail really undermined my confidence in my agent. On the positive side, Kendyl is obviously very knowledgeable and experienced with the local real estate market, very tech savvy, and usually very quick to respond to communication. The stager she recommended was very good, albeit expensive ($9,000 to stage a 3 bedroom home for 36 days), but we really feel like that investment made a huge impact for us. The stager is Robyn Navarro at Upstage Design. Her photographer was also very good. So why the 1 star review? Because of Kendyl. Kendyl is extremely unprofessional. When we met with her in person she seemed lovely and personable. It turns out this is all an act to get your business. We have a young child and have nanny cameras around our house. We told Kendyl that these were still up and recording during the sales process. She even asked if we were able to see the people coming through the open house. On at least 2 occasions she came into our house and was bad mouthing my wife to the people on her sales team. She was actually calling her names and being extremely insulting. These people are supposed to be excited to be representing us and helping to sell our house. Yet here is the owner of the company bad mouthing the client, repeatedly, and in our own home. My wife could not understand why. She thought they had a nice rapport. Instead, it turns out that this was clearly part of her act. Since we had already signed a contract with her and now knowing her true feelings, my wife decided that it would be best if she minimized her contact with her. As a result, she felt completely left out of the sales process. She was concerned to have any communication with her at all because she did not want her to sabotage our sales process because of her unprofessional behavior to her. After all, if she is this unprofessional in her communication, I can only imagine how unprofessional she must be in other areas. I just happened to catch her in the act of being unprofessional. In my experience, when someone shows their true colors it usually runs deep - and is not a single stand alone event. I'm not suggesting that everyone in the world needs to be friends. What I don't understand is why she needed to be calling her client names and saying insulting things to her staff. What purpose does that serve and how does that generate the optimal outcome for everyone? I would strongly encourage any seller to reconsider before using Kendyl. There are plenty of fabulous realtors who would love your business and treat you kindly and professionally. Selling (or buying) your home is one of the biggest financial decisions many of us make. Kendyl is unprofessional, lacks detail orientation (despite her repeated claims on how detail oriented she is), and lacks integrity. The next day she came with a bored face and attitude like what I am doing here .the entire time when we were checking the house with our contractor she sat down on a chair and pretending to be busy with her phone . My fiancé and I were not happy with the service and attitude however since We both loved the house We said Whatever, we want the house not her!!! After she showed us the house we said thank you and went outside and check the exterior of the house with our contractor . While we were standing outside on the street she literally came backward with her car from the driveway and hit our car and like nothing happen try to fled the scene.( at that time she didnot realize it was our white Toyota Corolla so she smiled and try to vanish . Right at that moment my fiancé waved her and told her to come out of the car since you hit our car. So she came down out of her car and said "oh I am sorry I am late to pick up my kids but I will contact you later ". At that time since she was our agent and we trusted and plus you have a contractor witnessed the whole accident you would not think she will deny all the accident later . Any way cutting the story short, .After the house and paper work finish and our offer didnit accepted so we called her so she can fix our car she stoped answering our calls, emails and messages . I was like why she is not answering . The estimate of the car was only 800 dollar. she could have fix or claim it on insurance however for 800 dollar she try not to respond our phone calls after all. Once we did not hear anything from her so we call her boss "Kendal "and explain her situation . We asked her why she is not answering our calls she said oh it's not my matter i was not there and she is saying there was no accident . I was like oh really so three people were blind when she hit the car and try to run away . I am 100 percent sure she has no good reputation in her life too otherwise Simmone could not make a crazy statement like this . Also I am very disappointed on Kendal who is the owner of diggs company . She could have helped us with the claim and gave us an appointment so we could come and talked to her . However no effort or costumer service from her . Also I just forgot another interesting thing . Right in the middle of our house buying even before the accident , we receive a suspicious virus activity email from Simone where she later emailed her clients and apologize and saying someone hacked my email . As a first time home buyer, when you hire an agent to represent you, especially someone you've never met before, you are putting a great deal of trust in their hands. You are hoping they will get you the best deal and give you accurate information about the conditions ahead. I cannot speak for this company as a selling agent, however, our experience with them as a buying rep was far less than satisfactory. We were given a lot of sunny sales pitches about what a great, personable agency this was but found on several levels, their representation in our dealings left a lot to be desired. The bottom line was our trust in them was compromised because of their inability to give us confidence in negotiations. As a buyer, you are flying blind and its up to your agent to make you feel comfortable, properly represented and informed. That's why you hire them. All the more so for those new to the home buying game. We felt neither with DIGGS. Perhaps if we would have signed a 'exclusive representation agreement' at our first meeting we would have been handled better. We do not know because we do not sign exclusive rep deals on a first meeting. Frankly, it's just another way agents manipulate buyers in an already stressful, grey-area communication marketplace. However, once you agree to rep someone in any capacity, whether it's for one deal or fifty, you do it wholeheartedly or don't do it at all. It's called professionalism. Lackluster communication, late in the game conflict disclosures and our overall feeling of dissatisfaction makes us regret using their services. In many ways, we could've done better on our own. Since using DIGGS, we have found another buying agent and the experience could not be more opposite. We're glad we had the ability to find someone who could foster total assurance in representing us. Moral of the story is, shop around and understand that it's entirely up to an agent to earn your trust when they act as your representative. read more

I saw a house today for sale. The OWNER of the DIGGS real estate agency was the real estate agent on this house and she was horrible. From the moment she opened her rude mouth it was apparent...this was not a nice person. When we walked in she seemed stressed out baking the cookies that real estate agents do so that the house smells warm, cozy and lovely. Little advice...if the thing you are doing to make us feel warm, cozy and lovely has the opposite effect because you seem so stressed out making them....get a candle instead. NEVER bake stressed. The baking seemed to be her priority--not the selling of the house nor the presence of a potential buyer (my wife and I). From the moment I asked my first question, no eye contact btw, she was busy baking cookies. Oh no, don't ask her questions...she's BAKING! "Hey potential buyers that are coming into this houses first...FIRST open house at 1:20....20 minutes AFTER it started....DON"T engage the realtor/baker with house questions...she's busy baking!" Anyway, I was in the kitchen checking it out and I asked her a question about what seemed to be a private road leading to this house and another house. My wife was standing right outside the kitchen with our two week old baby when I asked the question. The realtor/baker removes her precious cookies, she then says to me, not answering the question, "out of the way, move, please." Out of the way, move, please? Whoa. At least she did say please? My wife, one of the kindest and most polite woman on earth looked shocked. Out of the way, Move? Who says that? Especially, who says that to a potential buyer? Did she think she was being charming? If she gave eye contact and seemed nicer maybe you could get away with that. So confused. BTW I seriously loved this house going into it. We came very interested. Not just saying that to convey how a bad realtor can really turn someone off to the point of making them walk away from something they like. Anyway, the driveway/road was a weird set up because it was hard to tell if the road was the city's or someone owned it...it just was confusing....she eventually told me, after the second time I asked, that it was shared by three houses on the street. I then asked who pays for it should something go wrong or it need to be repaired? She said, rather flippantly, 'that she didn't know, but that she would call someone." A few minutes later, she then told me that "the driveway was owned by the first house on the block, it's an easement." I said, "Oh so how does that work then?" And here is where it gets worse, she said, "I can't educate you on easements, that's your realtors job." Oh. Okay. I say, "well you don't have to be so curt." She said, "I just can't do that legally." Okay. Pretty sure I was just asking you a simple question, didn't realize we were in a court of law but hey, maybe she was right, legally she couldn't answer that question. If that's the truth, fair enough. But maybe, as a human, who is in the business of working and selling to other humans you could have conveyed that answer to me in a way that seemed a little nicer. A little more...human. A little more like someone who was trying to sell a million dollar home rather than a teenager who couldn't be bothered answering a question about whether or not they did their homework. The no eye contact, face in the phone, can't be bothered way you responded? Not good. We left immediately after this. I would never allow a penny of my hard earned money to go into the pocket of this woman no matter how beautiful or how good of a deal the home might be. She reminded me of that waiter who works at the same restaurant for way too long YET still even with their BAD attitude they make enough money in tips to somehow keep them there. Me? I get bad service once I don't go back and neither should you. STAY AWAY PEOPLE. As my five year son had once said, "she was NOT a nice lady." No, no son. She was not. Oh and one last thing, those cookies? Sucked. Although I did have two of them just be sure. :) Now eat that cookie lady. read more
