He never did any imaging studies to see if something else could be causing the cough. I happened to see my primary care around when I was seeing Dr. Kubik. My primary got me an imaging study and it turns out my chest cavity was SWIMMING IN FLUID. One CT later and it turns out I had a GIANT TUMOR growing rapidly in the dead center of my chest. I got referred to an oncologist office where the oncologist flat out told me "If you waited even 2-4 more weeks, this could have been terminal". After my cancer treatments were done, I called the front desk and advised them of what happened so Dr. Kubik wouldn't make the same mistake again and the administration was incredibly rude and condescending on the phone.

She also always has a warm and welcoming smile on her face. I had a ton of questions and she never rushed me at all. She made sure to answer them all in a way in which I could understand. She does run on time. At least that was my experience. I had to have an endoscopy, which she performed, and she was wonderful before and after the procedure. I was so nervous, but again, she has such a wonderful bedside manner, and she put me completely at ease. She discovered my issue and put me on antibiotics which cured me completely. I don't exactly "want" to have to see her again, but in the future when I need a G.I. doctor, it will be her that I see. I also have that dreaded colonoscopy to look forward to in just 5 more years (yep, I'm giving away my age!).

They completed my paperwork efficiently and answered all my questions. Tamara is absolutely phenomenal! She got me prepped and ready for the procedure. I loved her fun and bubbly attitude. It definitely made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The anesthesiologist was also great! He walked me through the steps -- also keeping the mood light and ensuring I felt confident before taking a nap. As always, Dr. Duckworth rocks. He had me in and out quickly. Then, discussed the results once I woke up. It's great getting instant feedback. Lastly, Carmen was so pleasant. This is actually the second time she was my nurse (I had her for a previous procedure a few years back). It looks like nothing has changed in 30 years in that building. filled out 14 page intake that had nothing to with a future colonoscopy. most of the paperwork was regarding psychiatrist release and questions on any mental issues. I met Dr. NORTHUP that gave me a cd on how to live to be 100 and how to get his book. He told me how he can treat people for addictions and that he has women only recovery meetings in his office. He did ask why I was there for my visit, he gave information on colonoscopy that lasted one minute. He told me all about his wife and how great he is. I went to front desk to get my appointment for colonoscopy and prep sent to pharmacy. His staff was not able to do that as the person that handles that was not at her desk. They had no idea what the co-pay might be and said they would call the next day to set up procedure and send prep. Three weeks later someone called to see if I would like a follow up appointment. I asked what for? she could not answer that question. they were nice enough to send a bill for the co-pay and billed my insurance company. I happily went somewhere else and count myself lucky not to go any further with this charade.
