The Good: Beer. And somehow, despite everything, my kids still have a great time here…read more The Bad: Customer service. Or more accurately, the apparent lack of it. It feels like the place is being run by young employees who either haven't been properly trained in customer service or simply don't want to provide it. If you don't like dealing with customers, a customer-service job probably isn't the best career choice. It took us over 30 minutes just to find someone willing to help us redeem our arcade tickets for prizes. We asked multiple employees for assistance, and every single one seemed more interested in passing us off to someone else than actually solving the problem. Look, I get it--it's Circus Circus. The place already comes with a certain reputation. But maybe during new-hire orientation, management could dust off one of those painfully boring training videos explaining what customer service actually means. At this point, even that would be an improvement. Will I come back? Probably. I still have little kids, and they have fun here. But believe me, I yearn for the glorious day when they're grown and I can finally drive past Circus Circus without hearing, "Dad, can we go there?!" Until then, I'll be back. Reluctantly. Do a little better, Circus Circus. The kids may not notice the poor service--but the parents paying for everything definitely do.

Overall, my best friend and I had a great time!…read more The staff was friendly and helpful. Russell assisted us throughout our experience. They have a cute banana scavenger hunt challenge to earn 10 minutes of axe throwing. I also noticed they take donations for their smash room, which I think is neat. We visited the location on a Monday! They have $75/per person offer on Mondays to enjoy 2 activities. We chose the smash room and axe throwing, but they also have a paint room option. I have gone axe throwing before, but I like the axe throwing better at this location because they offer a variety of games to play with your group. We played and enjoyed the zombie game the most. The only reason I gave the experience 4 stars and not 5 stars is because I wish we could have thrown items against the walls in the smash room, but we were confined to the table in the center. There wasn't enough demand for the rides to have staff stationed there, so we had to find someone to come operate them each time. The biggest downside for me was the price. It felt pretty overpriced, especially since there aren't separate children's prices--it's one rate for everyone. The food also wasn't anything special. The fries were overcooked and tasted like they may have been cooked in old oil. That being said, I still had a fun time with my niece and nephew, and we enjoyed spending the day together. I just don't know if I'd recommend it at the price point.

This is a really, fun, cool place for kids. I would think younger kids would especially love it,…read morebut my 10-year-old and 13-year-old boys adored this place. They have an awesome Time Machine that starts your journey. Kids get to push buttons and pull levers to gain entry. Once inside, this is not your run of the mill walk through and see animatronic dinosaurs destination. This place offers activities all the way through. They have a ball launcher where you can launch food into a brontosaurus's mouth, they have rideable dinosaurs, a great indoor playground, tricycles you pedal around an active volcano, a dinosaur veterinarian station where you can play doctor to all the little dinos, etc. It truly is very well thought out, and clever. When you reach the end, if you have completed all of the activities on the sheet you were given, at entry, you win a free toy prize upon departure. This is super cool because some of the souvenirs are rather pricey. This way, everyone who comes, potentially leaves with a toy for just the price of admission. The one thing that we were disappointed in was the ads on the exterior of their building showed Tricera-TOPS clothing store/boutique and SPINE-osaurus Chiropractic. The kids were hoping to actually encounter these places once we got inside, and they did not exist. This is essentially fictitious advertising and misrepresentation (DISAPPOINTING). All in all, we had a great time, and we do highly recommend it.

Inside Town Square…read more Being a dinosaur nerd, I find I have to subject myself to any and all dinosaur attractions. Some attractions out there are really, really bad. As for Dinosaur Outpost, since they're tailored to kids, your little ones will love this place. Make sure they bring socks because the play area at the end requires them. You can also buy socks at the gift shop for $3. Though it's not always enforced because I've seen kids running through with their shoes. Also, make sure to sign the waivers ahead of time online so you're not stuck doing it in person. You can either pay ahead for your tickets or buy it there. But upon entering, your kids will have a little fun interactive entrance where they're going back in time to the dinosaur era. Then you enter the first of 3 rooms, but this being the largest. There's a lot for them to do and once in awhile, a Ranger (staff) will bring out a new born dinosaur in their arms for your kids to interact and play/pet with. They also have a small bike course, with bikes on training wheels, a photo-op where they can also sit and ride on a dinosaur. And then the jungle gym-like area where the socks is required. There's a lot for them to do, and a few benches for parents to sit on while they play. Definitely a fun place to go to for the kids while at Town Square.

On a Sunday night, we asked a staff member about the deal posted for guests staying at Luxor, Excalibur, and Mandalay Bay, and we were able to get the deal. We received 105 points per person, which was enough for 7 games each since each game costs 15 points. The place wasn't busy at all on a Sunday night, which was perfect. They also have some games that don't require points. We especially enjoyed Duck Duck Boom, which was included with our admission. They even have a cellphone holder where you can set up your phone and film yourself while playing, which made it even more fun! The games were really fun, but what stood out the most was the staff. Everyone assisting us was super nice, friendly, and welcoming. They really made the experience even better. We had a great time and would definitely come back. Kudos to the amazing staff!

Everything on the strip is expensive, and all things considered for how much quality time we spent here and the unique experience, I think it was worth it. It wasn't too crowded when we went, and the employees are super friendly. We got to play a lot of games, and because they give you plenty of points with the basic package, I didn't feel like I had to carefully pick and choose which ones to play. I really did get to feel like a kid again! The life sized Bop It, Word Scramble, human bullseye, and the one where you have to dodge the poker chips on a narrow platform were really fun. I like the leaderboard so that you can see how we did compared to each other and other players did on the day/all time. The "duck duck boom" game (which I really appreciate being included in the basic package) was waaaaay harder than I expected but really really different and fun. Got such a workout. The one thing about these games is that you can actually get hurt from some of them if you're not fully paying attention. I got nailed in the head with one of the moving poker chips in the dodging obstacle course and it was made of harder material than I expected lol.

We did the West video which went through the deserts in the west, up the coast, and also the pacific northwest. Of course there was a flyover of Vegas. The video was very crisp. The ride system was very smooth. My daughter complained it didn't have the neat transitions between scenes like Disney does. This just jumps from clip to clip although they try to keep the perspective the same. Overall I really liked this. A definite must do in my mind!

We could not hear 1/2 of what they were saying and no one was enthusiastic at all. The pre-show was decent, but after standing in line, standing waiting to see the pre-show experience and then standing for the pre-show experience, older people and those with back problems had trouble. We were seated for the film. The film was nice with a few special effects, but it was more about the Iceland country side and only a few seconds showing areas inhabited by people including Reykjavik which is a beautiful city (we have been there). The overall film experience was not 25 minutes as advertised (less). If you are prone to motion sickness or have ear or balance issues I don't recommend this experience.

One of the more interesting features was a ship-like viewing area that allowed children to see animals swimming both underneath and above them through the glass. This gave younger visitors another way to observe the animals closely. Stingray Touch Pool The stingray touch pool was much less accessible for small children. The stingrays usually stayed near the bottom of the pool, making them difficult for younger children to reach. Children were not permitted to sit or lie on the stone surrounding the pool for safety reasons, but there was no alternative provided, such as a secured step platform or designated raised viewing area. This meant that parents often had to lift and hold their children over the edge so they could see or attempt to touch the stingrays. That could create its own safety concern for both the parent and child. A staff member suggested that a child could lie on their stomach to reach farther into the pool. However, this may not work well for children who have sensory sensitivities, physical limitations, discomfort with pressure on their stomach, or developmental delays. The exhibit would be more inclusive if it offered a safe alternative for shorter children, such as: * A secured, nonslip step platform * A lower section of the pool designed for children * A raised glass viewing window * A staff-supported touch opportunity * Clear accessibility options for children with sensory or physical needs The touch pool was an exciting concept, but the current design made it difficult for many younger children to participate independently and safely.

We were watching the Weather, and decided it was better to go on the sunday, the 13th (there was more wind on saturday). It was shorter hours. For $19.99 per ticket, we weren't complaining. $10.00 for parking. Improvements on the cleanliness of the Bathrooms. It was well-maintained now. That's good news. No more free SPF. That's an update. Many of the rides were slow to open, because they were short-staffed. We brought plenty of SPF. I tan in 5 minutes! So does our son, who gets that from me. I didn't get to wear my hat on the rides, so I left it at our lounge chairs which was overlooking the Wave Pool. I wore my water shoes. Yes, we have to hold them in our hands on certain rides. No biggie. I didn't wear my contacts so yes, I was blind. But I kept my sunglasses on. When you wear contacts, you must wear sunglasses, because you get extremely sensitive to light. My favorite is the Lazy River. We went there several times. I was getting tired, so I went back to the lounge chairs. By the time, the visit is over, you've done so many dang stairs, it's tiring. And I work out, regularly. Plus, it's the time in the sun too. I also liked the Wave Pool, which is probably the most popular area. There were no floats left. But just be patient, and get it from someone vacating. Not many people were here since it was the end of the season. There are minimum weights and maximum weights. Some of the rides were more popular than others, so the wait time was long. Again, we got these tickets at a bargain price, so I'm not complaining. But man, a lot of people were ignoring the fact that there is a dress code, and families here, and were wearing inappropriate swim wear.
