What a beautiful city park with views of the surrounding area. I've always been impressed by the…read morecity parks in neighboring Tualatin and Wilsonville, but Sherwood has got it going on too. Located at the top of Sunset Boulevard, this park has a very well maintained baseball field, lacrosse/soccer field with artificial turf and electronic scoreboard, tennis and basketball courts and multiple play structures. The water feature is set up like a stream, rather than a spray ground, and really the entire park was very well designed to provide a little bit of everything for the community. As a venue for watching a game, I loved the gentle slope that provided plenty of seating for parents to either set up chairs or blankets on different levels. Even though it all looks very modern, the park has a nice amount of mature trees to provide shade and a large covered structure for parties and gatherings that is essential for events 10 months out of the year. They even had a concession stand running during our visit so you could buy food and have a picnic. I kind of hope we have more games out in Sherwood.

It has been necessary for me to make sure that the puppy gets her exercise and we have been taking many walks. I have noticed that this park is less than a half mile away. We worked with two other coaching facilities in this area for a couple years before finding 503. I've kicked myself more than once for wasting my money on those places. The difference is night and day, and the cost at 503 is less than I paid at those other places. The facility is big enough to have 3-4 coaches working with different kids. In the six months my son has been working 1:1 with Gehrig, he has blown me away with his improvement. I'm not sure why so many sour grapes in the previous review, but that reviewer doesn't speak for me or the many happy parents I see and speak to at 503. Go see for yourself. Do one lesson to check it out. Talk with other parents there. We're all happy to share our great experiences with 503.

We have lived down the road from here for some years. We have had a handful of birthday parties at…read morethe pavilion. The pavilion is first come first serve. I was there today and it looks like someone removed one of the tables/benches (typically total of 6 tables). I take our dogs to the dog park at times. Clean, friendly dogs, and spacious for the fur babies to run freely. The playground they have available for the kids is perfect, (refer to photos). There was a time about 3 months ago I noticed a car had its window smashed in. So be careful and be sure to keep your valuables at home. There are two parking lots, one on each side of the dog park area. It typically is a safe neighborhood. They also have a skatepark, and a back-to-back basketball (two hoop) court along side it. Baseball field too, just on the other side of the park, and short forest trails. I give it 5 stars because it's a great park, and has all of these amenities to take part in at the same time all in one place. Typically parks, walking trails, skateparks, baseball fields, pavilion areas, and dog parks are completely separated by location; which is why I find this park to be so unique. They also have bathrooms, both next to the baseball field and the other near the park/pavilion.I love that it's just down the road from my house, my family and I have created so many memories over the years.

Only feedback to make it better: 1. Currently they're doing construction on the sports field, so there's large empty dirt patches between areas of the park. 2. All fields have shaded, paved and ADA access. 4 top notch, All-turf fields. Each field has stadium lights and a score board. The restrooms are spacious and clean. Homeplate Cafe is FULLY stocked. Parking is ample, but at a tournament, you always need more. I'm not seeing anything else beyond baseball & soccer fields here. So, if you are looking for play structures, this is not the place.

It's easy to find because it's right off the main road but it's back enough that you don't have to worry about your kids running out to the street. There is a variety of options for every age group. They have an exceptional play structure that caters to both middle age children and younger kids. The water park area is awesome because they have a variety of different types of spray but none of them spout so fully that you can't run in and grab your child from a almost anywhere in the fountain without getting wet yourself. They have a nice covered picnic area and Fields for ballgames. The only problem that I had in the whole park was when my one-year-old climbed on the play structure and my two-year-old ran over to the high slides it was difficult for me to chase both. Definitely a great park to check out with your family if you're in West Linn.
