As seniors it is a huge help to receive a $50 card to buy produce ONLY at certified Farmers' Markets and arrive the day before Thanksgiving and be told they don't accept the card or they aren't signed up to receive it. Card expires Nov 30 so we will lose our $50. Couldn't even buy eggs. Farmers complain people are unsupportive yet how can we support them if they are greedy and cheat the Government programs? I will make sure to never set foot in a farmers' market again. I will full heartedly support overseas farmers from now on. Let's see who buys your overpriced produce. If they don't comply with the program they should NOT be allowed to sell there. Shame on you all. I find this to be un American. So much for making America great again and buying local and home grown! Also there are only 3 stands of produce and the rest are retail trinkets, NOT a real Farmers' Market.

But that's pretty common these days, not just for Farmer's Market, but parking in general. Lots of food options and I don't just mean vegetables. You could pretty much have breakfast and lunch here. And enough so you can skip dinner. I almost wonder if there are more food options than other vendors. I didn't count. Don't get me wrong - still a lot of Knick knacks and other items to browse/buy other than food - maybe even something like I grabbed - a western cowboy hat. Finally got me one. Sorry - no pics. I totally forgot about the market, and told her if we can't find a parking space, we're not stopping. And of course, we found one. The best time to go is when they first open. Everyone is friendly before the heat of the day takes its toll...LOL! Except for the "oh so cool wannabe influencer" whose dog wanted to meet Cako but she just pulled her dog away...Eeeewww! LOL! But it's not crowded and easy to walk through. Cako just lead me down the long aisle and our first stop was True Pet Kitchen. She didn't want the chicken treat but she was all over the salmon one! So we bought a bag...err...I bought her a bag. We then wandered down to Kettner. She then pulled me over to Stark, and the friendly guy offered a duck jerky, which she was happy to take. She then sat down for another, and he obliged. So I bought a bag from them too! We stopped at the Honeymoon Ranch stand for some baked goods! There was a man loading up a suitcase and apparently he bought all the banana bread. We scored our own, which was all for me. Great place to come to, but even better for your four legged furry family. If I come down again, it will be around 7:45, just before they open. Cako Approves!
