Great experience from start to finish!…read more Ehmke was responsive to my initial inquiry about service for a well that was not producing any water after the harsh winter, worked me into their schedule very quickly while also working around my schedule, and followed up every time they said they would (confirming the appointment, letting me know when they'd arrive, etc.) They were undaunted by the fact that I wasn't sure what type of well/equipment I had and said they'd come prepared, which they did. Within 30 minutes of arriving, they'd diagnosed the problem as a faulty electrical wire, and within another 30 minutes, they'd dug a trench across my yard, replaced the wire, and patched the trench up neatly. They could easily have told me that I needed a new well pump and charged me large sums of money to replace it and I wouldn't have known any better, but they didn't. The entire thing only cost a few hundred dollars. On top of that, they were pleasant and professional to deal with - I felt totally comfortable letting them wander in and out of my house unsupervised. I was pleased when I received the invoice to see that it was itemized (many contractors hesitate to provide this) and I had literally been charged only a few cents for certain parts. One unusual thing to be aware of is that they charge for their travel time - which can be extensive in rural WNY - but for me, the money saved through their efficiency and honesty more than covered that cost and I wouldn't hesitate to contract them again or recommend them to a neighbor.

Confirmed an appointment with Lowe's Service Department to have our home water treatment system…read morethoroughly serviced with Dan (apparently former owner and "about to retire"). Set up date and time and confirmed 3 days prior to appt. We arranged for house sitter to "babysit" waiting to direct the technician to the water system. Without the courtesy of speaking with me, Dan at Lowe's decided to cancel the appointment a couple of hours before it was supposed to happen. He left a curt/rude voice message that he didn't think he installed the system so wouldn't service it. Multiple calls to his cell phone # were not picked up or returned. Calls to the office were unhelpful as well (won't give service mobile phone #'s so you're left in limbo). DON'T waste your time calling this place; after you've spent a lot of time, money and effort setting up an appointment, you'll be ignored and disappointed.

They acted like I was not there and would not check the whole system as I requested (this was an emergency call). They stopped at the pressure tank. A week after I paid by check they called and told me my check had been returned. I gave them a different payment, paid a returned check fee and called my bank. They had never submitted the payment to my bank. I had to cancel the first check and when I called to discuss it with them as they now had made me pay twice and with additional fees, I did not get a return call. I called again and Madeline bsically laughed at me and said it was not her problem and the fact that they got a charge back (from a bank that was not mine) meant it was my financial responsibility even though it was their mistake. When I threatened to report them for bank fraud they mysteriosly were able to rectify the situation. Terrible company, terrible people, fraudulent activity. Avoid at all costs.

We tried to get it to work, but could not get water out of the 14 foot deep pipe. (It was clogged with sediment.) I contacted Caster Drilling via email on a Tuesday morning and was hoping to get a response by the following week. I was wrong. Trent, the owner himself, responded back 4 hours later. He came over that same evening to assess the situation. He was extremely knowledgeable and did not make unnecessary recommendations. The next morning I had a quote, that was very reasonable. I accepted the offer on Wednesday. Friday, he brought in the equipment, drilled the well, ran the line to the house, wired it in, and setup the expansion tank with a 1 inch PEX outlet. I have NEVER had such clean and clear water in my life. The quality of workmanship and the quality of the well is first class. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done.
