Well I went into Dick's and purchased sneakers for $170. This purchase ended up costing me $260 because of two factors. First, (dummy me) I accepted a credit card offer while checking out, and secondly, because I assumed my purchase was not on the yet to be received card, but the card I presented at the register. I traveled, got sick, and when home I got back Sychrony Bank I saw the purchase was on the Synchrony Bank credit card. Interest was charged from my day of purchase, no bill for the first month was ever received (according to those taking in my mail),and I was also billed twice for late payments on the only bill I received. Is Dick's so hard up for money they need to present customers with such cheezy offers? Suppose so, but they lost me as a customer with this cheezy offer of "future savings" with the Synchrony card. This dick's sporting goods has been in willow grove for over 10 years, and it is located in a peripheral strip of the willow grove mall. At one time, Dicks had been pretty great. They sold guns and had a hunting lodge. There were compound, recurve and crossbows. The hunting lodge has now been filled with fishing equipment, kayaks, and safes. It has lost its glory. However, you can still buy a hunting or fishing license here. There is a fair selection of fishing stuff. Most kayaks are pelican brand. There is a golf section which I've never seen anyone in. There are bikes in the back, and exercise equipment which kids play on. There has been an increase in sporting apparel offerings, as well as shoes. Prices are retail. You might not get a bargain on anything unless you have a coupon in the mail, for which you need to hand over some personal information. read more

We asked an associate for a size in the shoe department. He put us in the computer. Ten minutes later, still no shoe. Multiple other people were also waiting. Eventually, I approached another person, who said we weren't in the queue and, "maybe we had been erased." No apology. We were finally handed our shoes. We left after deciding we didn't want to wait for more, since my son didn't like the first pair. There were plenty of employees walking around. None of them in a hurry. Not one person checked in with us. So much money spent on renovations at this store, but clearly none was spent on customer service improvements in the shoe department. Won't be back. read more

I love the variety of basically everything they have for all sports and outdoor needs.

Was in this evening to purchase cleats for my kid. The associate in the cleats section ignored myself and my kids. No assistance to measure my kids foot. Would not assist us until I had to make a point to ask for assistance to try on shoes. Seeing the other two families who were getting assistance while their kids were running around and causing disturbances I realized that we were ignored because we are Caucasian and the African American employee only wanted to help the two African American families. This is a disgrace. After making a point to get assistance the employee got my kid one pair to try on and seemed annoyed when it was too small. He didn't want to walk back to get more pairs to try on. Disgrace! read more

Whilst this coronavirus outbreak was picking up steam, gyms started to close. Then I noticed Dick's was offering curbside pick up of online purchases. However, it seems every meathead in North Jersey bought up the free weights within a 100 mile radius. I found a 300 lb Olympic barbell set still available at this Dick's location. On my first attempt to pick the weights up, my car broke down en route. I was finally able to get out there and Sonia the manager was so friendly and helpful. She had the weights brought right out to my car and now I'm ready to resume workouts! read more

I stood looking a golf equipment for at least 5 minutes next to a sales associate, clearly could have used help, and he said nothing to me. Shame. No one in sight to get help. Sale merchandise was mixed up with regulate priced items so confusion on what was really on sale. Although we did end up getting what we needed we wasted a lot of time that we shouldn't have had to. It's not like the store is busy, shouldn't the employees be managing merchandise? "We are Dick's and We are BIG!" The name DICK says it all because they are. Bigger than normal. Should change their name. BAD NO RETURN POLICY ON DEFECTIVE SHOES. "WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS" IF SHOE FALLS APART, TOUGH _ITTY. It's unimaginable in this age of Amazon, Zappos, Walmart, Costco, Depot.... that a huge Dick's store would respond to a customer returning a pair of highly defective -sole ripped off -court shoes, with: "Sorry, once the item goes out the store door, you have to contact Nike to get a replacement" No small wonder the reviews for Dick's are 1-2/5 stars. I hope this drops their average. Better to take 5 minutes, order from Zappos. They will pick up free if they are defective, don't fit or for any reason. Rei, LL Bean, Kohls, Costco will take back anytime. Dick's may be big but they come up short and small on service. read more

I am giving Dicks one star only because there isn't an option to give it ZERO stars. I definitely would not shop here ever again!!! The sales associates were null and void and that was due to the fact that there weren't any! The only associates were in the sneaker section. The guard preferred to follow me around throughout the store..(which was good because he was able to follow me to the cash register where I handed everything to the cashier and explained to her why I wasn't buying the items- it also gave him the chance to watch my back as I walked out) Save your money! read more

Every so often I go to this store. Anything sports I go here and I usually find everything I need very quickly. I used to like this store, until myself and a group of friends on a Friday night walked in dicks. We love playing football so we went to the section and gently tested them out. The man with the buzz cut blonde hair, Caucasian, about 5 feet 11 inches approached us rudely and said, "this is not the hang out place for tonight so make a purchase or get out! What a rude individual. Dicks you need to fire this man right away. He was inconsiderate, and didn't even think about my business. I say screw you and you are no good. I came here to get a pair of sneakers. The style I liked was hard to find the actual pair of sneakers because the boxes weren't matching up with the shoes on display. I asked for assistance and the gentleman also had trouble finding the sneakers I wanted. He then asked another sales associate, who simply stated "if they AINT there we AINT got them". She said they could be ordered but I declined. Why have sneakers on display if they are not available. At least humor me and check the stock in the back. I went two stores over to shoe carnival and got the sneakers I wanted at, Dicks plus a second pair for half off. I will never go to Dicks again. Upon entering the store today, my friends and I who love football went over to the football section to look at purchasing a new football to use in our avid games. Just as we arrived at the area where the footballs are we began passing the ball in a short toss which normally you're allowed to do. We wanted to test out the product before we purchased, an employee came over to us and immediately said "this isn't a hangout spot tonight guys so make your purchase or get out," my friends and I thought this to be very rude and decided not to give this place our business due to the rude staff member who has short blonde hair and stands at about 5 ft 11 in. This place is terrible with customers and all employees immediately bash younger kids for no reason whatsoever, I plan to never shop here again after this incident. read more

The associate named Brian should not be working there. The last several times we have shopped there he has been working, and each time he is cold, unfriendly and downright rude.
