Brand new! Friendly and helpful staff. It was pretty mellow when we visited (Sunday afternoon). Located inside the Gates of Prosper and right next to Wal-Mart. Nothing over the top just the same selection you can find at any other Dick's Sports store. Worst service I have ever received to go along with a weight cage that did not have all the pieces. I have been asking for missing pieces for 6 weeks and not one person cares that they are still missing. I was just told they might send me them in another 4 weeks. That will make it about 12 weeks from starting this. Not only did I pay $400 for something I can't use but the lack of service and concern I have received from Dick's Sporting Goods employees has been horrific!! I went to purchase some golf shoes ($140) which were only on display and required a store employee to get them for me. Rang their system, which stated someone would be coming to help, three times and no one came. I found an employee she assured me that someone would come. Waited 10 minutes, no one came. 40 minutes of my life I won't get back. It's a great looking store, but seems to be mismanaged and employees don't seem motivated to assist customers. 1st visit this location and very impressive. Very large store which is 1/2 Field & Stream and the other half Dicks Sporting Goods. See photos. If you need something for the outdoors or recreation activities/clothing be sure to ask. It is easy to not find something with all the stuff they have on hand. Sign up for their loyalty program to get discounts after enough purchased. We took advantage of deer corn on sale which we feed to the ducks at our nearby park. read more

***UPDATE*** Although we had a terrible customer service experience with the attempted exchange, we still purchased a football for my son so received a follow-up survey from Dick's via email. I provide the negative feedback regarding my experience and received a call from the Operations Manager Amanda the next day. I was able to speak to her on Monday, and she made sure everything was taken care of to make things right. She provided 5 star customer service so I've added 2 stars to my previous review for the store overall - would have added 2.5 if that was an option. read more

Gotta give my visit 3 stars not because of the people because everyone was super nice but because of the ridiculousness it took to get my merchandise. The issue is unlike my usual dicks sporting goods store this one doesn't have numerous kayaks to choose from inside not tied down. So when I went to get a special kayak in a specific color it was outside in the chains. So one guy tried and went back in and then 2 more came out and all of them went back in and then 2 came back out with the right keys and a ladder then. So like 25 minutes after I paid for the kayak after waiting 5 or so in line for the kayak person to come to the front I was loaded up. The process was ridiculous and even the employees were frustrated at how long it was taking. They all were very apologetic to me about the issue and the wait. If I bought another kayak I wouldn't buy it from this particular store. I would go were they have more options in the store. read more

This is a really nice store with a very good selection. I stumbled upon this store by accident but I am glad I did. I used to go to bass pro shop or cabelas for my fishing gear but field and stream has a good selection and are usually running very good sales. read more

Very poor experience here. I ordered an item for curbside pickup, paid in full, and received a confirmation email that my item was ready to be picked up at any time within four days. Two days after paying and receiving my confirmation I drove to the store for pickup. I waited for twenty minutes only for a young associate to walk out and tell me it looks like another associate sold the last of the item. As I had already paid for it I informed him it wasn't theirs to sell. He said they had an alternative in stock, but I declined as it's not what I wanted. The manager couldn't be bothered to discuss this with me, and there was no other solution offered. I'll take my business to Academy. read more

Nice store but Field & Stream should stick to their magazine & let Dicks handle the outdoors. You have a terrible selection & if I had the time or cared I'd elaborate but bottom line lacking is an understatement. Then on an item I did actually want to purchase which was "displayed" & the last one in store you wouldn't let me buy it & furthermore couldn't tell me when it would be restocked. So just to clarify here you wouldn't sell me the "display" which was barcoded so technically it is for sale yet bc it's the "display" & bc I asked versus just grabbed it & took it to checkout no can do. However you have none in stock to sell in the situation that someone such as myself would like to purchase it. What part of that makes any sense? Might as well un-display the item until you have more stock for sale otherwise what's the point? There isn't one that was rhetorical. read more

I really like this Dicks , I'm a local with a teenager that loves Nike. However my last experience was not very good. There was one young lady assisting the young lady checking me out and I asked for a price match from the actual Dicks website and she said since the color was different... Yes you heard me correct...the color...she could not give me the!!!!$5!!!! Price difference. Infuriated I told her to keep the sweater and continued with the purchase. I wanted to walk off but inverted I explained howthey did the same thing at Toys r Us and look at them now. read more
