I'm sorry that Rip T. had a bad experience, but let me assure you that it must've been a rarity. Every time I set foot in Cabela's, I'm met with professionalism, and great customer service. They've got EVERYTHING you could possibly want, need, or dream of to make your outdoor adventure complete - whether you're going hunting, camping, hiking, fishing, bird watching, kayaking...you name it! They've also got licensing for fishing/hunting and concealed carry classes. I've purchased several items from Cabela's, including some clothing items, holsters for concealed carry, ammunition, and a 9mm semi-automatic pistol. BTW - their firearms selection is GREAT and so is the knowledge & expertise of their firearm sales staff. They've got a couple of rewards program options as well - free membership card with reward points & a rewards Visa. I keep forgetting my membership card at home, so I can't speak with much of a perspective on how the whole reward system works just yet. Don't let the one bad review keep you away. They have a solid sale section as well and clothing for women, men and children. As most gear shops, the prices reflect quality and lean towards the moderate to expensive side, but that's less IMT and more the general gear, but again solid sale sections and not above normal market cost. Though we have a pretty solid collection of gear we have accumulated over the years, we will get a few small items when we visit, as we always seem to find some cool pieces, including my favorite fleece coal baseball cap! They assured me they'd have it done in a week and Friday the 26th wouldn't be a problem. Having heard nothing for a week, I called them the following Wednesday and they cheerfully told me that there were only a few bikes in front of me and they'd get started the upcoming Friday or Saturday. I was supposed to leave on Friday. If they had told me they couldn't get it done up front, it wouldn't have interfered with my trip. Instead they chose to hang me out to dry. I would take my bike any place but Bills from now on.

On the day of the appointment everything went great. He found a trade in, received reasonable offer on his RV and reasonable sell price on a new one. Paperwork was signed, down payment taken, deal made. Next day, Camping World called and said they had to lower the offer SUBSTANTIALLY, even though a contract had been signed. They WOULD NOT honor their originally signed deal. Unethical professionalism not to mention illegal. Do not bother doing business here! It's a waste of time. Update: I reached out as requested. Have emails, voicemails and sign papers along with explanation. It was forwarded to Idaho falls management. I was contacted by the manager Ryan (or maybe Brian - over the phone it was hard to which name it was) he said the verbal estimate for the RV stood and the written and signed one that was $18,000 higher didn't matter. He stated there were multiple things that needed fixed but refused to provide a list when requested (side note: I had a separate RV place in Pocatello a few months before taking it to camping world to do a thorough check through and they said everything looked great - I provided this list i received from them to camping world). I feel this was a tactic to quickly discard the issue. He was not open to coming to any other sort of agreement, but said he would talk to the others in his building and get back with me. That was two weeks ago. I haven't heard back. It seems the customer service response is just for show and not sincere.

No specific reason for purchasing from CW other than Coleman trailers are exclusive to them. I was a little worried because of all the negative reviews I'd heard. Our purchasing experience was pretty smooth. We did our homework and knew we did not want to purchase any of the additional warranties/coverages. We have used our trailer regularly over the summer and early fall. The only issue we had was not the fault of CW. We had an ongoing problem with our trailer slide. The service department was great about getting us in and when the problem wasn't fixed initially, they followed up with the manufacturer until the problem was fixed solved. Casey and Jesse were great! Overall a good experience. I'm a firm believer that you 'get what you pay for' in the sense of being educated before making a big purchase and don't blame everything on the dealer.
