I had my heart set on a short board but after talking with them and really understanding the suggestion I ended up with a fun shape that I still have to this day and love! The employee I worked with said "I'll sell you a short board if you really want me too but if you really want to learn to surf and improve quicker get a fun shape" 4 surf boards later and I'm loving it as much as I did when I started in 2013. Oh and they wouldn't tell me where I could surf which I didn't understand at first but now when people ask me where I surf I tell them I don't speak English.
