We worked with Amanda and could not have been happier because originally our ten-day- later delivery was cancelled on us for an unknown reason and the best the store manager was able to do was get us a date ten days after that, which was unreasonable because we had gotten rid of our existing sofa based on confirmation of the original La-Z-Boy delivery date. We reached back out to Amanda and she really stepped up and was able to get us a delivery date much sooner than was the store manager, which was very much appreciated because Amanda cared that La-Z-Boy's delivery component had screwed up our delivery and unlike the store manager, wasn't willing to settle for placing us back in some random delivery rotation. We love our sofa and could not have been happier with Amanda's assistance during both store visits and when we really needed her help regarding the delivery. I see a lot of posts critical of La-Z-Boy deliveries and I can understand why. They really need to work on that, but as far our experience with Amanda goes, we could not be happier or more grateful. Bought a small sleeper couch with an additional attachable chaise lounge, and was helped by Isabel twice in store. She was very thoughtful explaining all of the different sizes and sleeper options to fit in the room. We went home and measured our home, room, stairs, and hallways multiple times to make sure it would be the right size. We went back to the store, where Isabel and the store manger helped us complete the order and explained all of goof proofing, delivery etc. Upon the day of delivery, the guys brought it in, got it to the top of the stairs and said it wouldn't fit any further. They brought it back down, and loaded it into the truck. We have had prior couch experiences ourselves with no professional delivery personnel, and got a larger couch into a smaller hallway, stairway, and doorway in a 150 year old building- with two regular guys from the family. Extremely frustrating, especially since we planned this whole couch deal for over a month before going for it. Everything should've been fine, but the delivery guys didn't know how to move furniture, and weren't willing to try. Not saying it is an easy job, but it is definitely more difficult if you have no clue what you are doing. Refund process was just as much of a nightmare. So unfortunate because the couch itself was perfect and we couldn't wait to have it. And BTW- Don't pay cash.

The showroom piece that was on the floor for over a year was nicer than what was delivered 3 different times!! The fabric/stuffing was all rumpled on both the recliner foot rest, foot rest, and of the sectional including the storage section. After 3 times I gave up and returned the furniture - again because Karen made it easy. I then contacted Bob's to have them reimburse the delivery driver tips I gave totaling $60. I can't say I will look at furniture there again. I wish I could give this place a negative amount of stars…read more I purchased a mattress here, and the manager Luke at the Dartmouth location fraudulently and illegally used my social security number to apply for a credit card in my name without my knowledge or permission. I am a young finance professional with a stellar credit score, which will now be dropping due to Mattress Firm's sleezy and dishonest actions. I was looking to purchase a mattress, but had not yet decided whether or not I was planning to pay for my mattress monthly or in one full payment. Luke offered to first "check my credit score" to check the interest rate I would be paying if I chose to pay monthly - I was under the impression he would first check my credit score, and then I would make my final decision. He later came back claiming I got approved for $7,000 in credit - I immediately confronted him for originally telling me he was only checking my credit score, and informed him that I did not want a credit card. He then told me it was too late and that he had already applied me for a credit card himself. I called Mattress Firm customer service to create a formal complaint about this. I was rerouted through automated phone prompts for half an hour before I got redirected to Luke himself to file the complaint. Luke was just as sleezy the second time, stating he felt he explained the process clearly (even though he lied to me that he would first help me "check my credit score", and NEVER mentioned a credit card) He then took the time to condescendingly explain to me how credit scores work, and tried to calm me by saying "yeah your credit score will definitely drop, but I'm sure it'll come back up eventually" (when it shouldn't have even dropped to begin with!!) He then humorously offered me to stop by the store for a "free gift" to make up for fraudulently applying me for a credit card and damaging my credit score. I could not describe a worst or more dishonest company. I think it goes without said that I will never give Mattress Firm business again. Don't go here unless you want to be conned by dishonest sales people.
