She said "I guess I can check to see if we do" and WOW sure enough they do! She then says "oh wow it says we do...but it was shipped to us in February" I stared at her and she stared back at me because I have no clue what that sentence means. I asked "so are you going to point me in the right direction?" And she goes "oh it's in our backroom." And again stares at me without saying anything else. I say "ma'am I'm not an employee I can't go into your back room- can you get it for me then?" She says "uh hang on" then calls over another cashier who looks around the front of the store for a second and says "yeah they're not up here" I then begin to question if I'm in the twilight zone and state "she says you have them in stock but their in your backroom. I would like to purchase one can someone go and get me a can of pepper spray?" The cashier repeats that theyre not upfront- to which I finally break and stare "it appears that I'm being an inconvenience to you all by asking you to do your job while you're at your job. Clearly no one wants to help or sell this product to me so I will take my business elsewhere" I can't recommend going to another location. I get that the product I'm looking for isn't a regularly sold item at Dicks but for Christ sake; if it's available why is no one trying to sell a customer their product? And it made me look like the asshole- which makes me not only never want to come back here but to write a review on how awful the place is to convince more customers to not come here. I get that your store is named Dicks, but that doesn't mean you have to act like one to your customers...

I arrive first and went into the small shop and asked the young ladies if they sold smoking pipes, they replied yes but it was in the next building. A young man who is in the shop said to follow him, he was on his way over there. Jokingly, I asked him, "we don't have to hold hands or anything do we", he said, "I prefer that we don't". Immediately I found the humor of this place compatible with my own. So right there they received a rating of 5 out of 10. When my friend showed up, we both walked in and started discussing pipe tobacco with the man behind the counter. I didn't get his name (regrettably), but he was extremely knowledgeable about pipe tobacco (rating now 10/10). I was looking to buy Mac Baron Seven Seas Royale blend. Sadly, he informed me that Mac Baron was bought out and is no longer going to be producing the Seven Seas blends (looks like I'll have to strap on the pith helmet and go on safari to find some). The place is very attractive with a well stocked humidor (rating now 10/10 + 2). Do I recommend this place? Not only yes, but hell yes!

My wife even came back and made a purchase for a gift to me by herself. They treated her well and went well beyond the typical retailer service expectations to help someone not familiar with the product. I can only assume that the reviews that are not as shining have been addressed. I have only heard good reports and had good experiences myself.

Met a gentleman named Brian at the counter who adjusted the bow, helped me order new strings (and even told me how to get them cheaper elsewhere), showed me what else I might need/want, and then took me to a space within the store to let me shoot an arrow. He took the time to show me the ins and outs of how to hold the bow, make recommendations, and so on. One of things I want to commend him on is that he always asked if he could touch my body before adjusting my positioning. As a woman who has rarely (and unfortunately) had this basic question asked, I felt safe with Brian and very much appreciated him asking.
