went looking for a new shoe to workout in. two young boys working more worried about watching reels on their phones then helping me. asked for help and got a very short answer than no other help. stood at the shoe rack looking for ten minutes. neither one approached me asking if I needed help or offering assistance. customer service must be a dying skill. dicks, please do better. I was there to purchase a highly priced and quality shoe and left with nothing and feeling discouraged. read more

Service: Lacking - Apparently the cashiers were more insterested in having idle conversations with each other than putting a sign on the door letting prospective customers know that their systems were down. Dicks / Galaxy Golf had the potential to sell 3 full sets of golf clubs, but apparently Dicks isn't interested in making money. Management: There is a simple rule when managing retail employees. If you have time to lean, you have time to clean. Also, if you know your cashier system is down, put a message on your entrances to let your customers know so they don't waste their time attempting to purchase something. Would give it 0 if I could. Just went in to ask to buy some pepper spray which it said on their site that it was in stock. When I asked the cashier behind the counter she first said "we don't carry that" I pulled up the webpage and showed her that it says you do. She said "I guess I can check to see if we do" and WOW sure enough they do! She then says "oh wow it says we do...but it was shipped to us in February" I stared at her and she stared back at me because I have no clue what that sentence means. I asked "so are you going to point me in the right direction?" And she goes "oh it's in our backroom." And again stares at me without saying anything else. I say "ma'am I'm not an employee I can't go into your back room- can you get it for me then?" She says "uh hang on" then calls over another cashier who looks around the front of the store for a second and says "yeah they're not up here" I then begin to question if I'm in the twilight zone and state "she says you have them in stock but their in your backroom. I would like to purchase one can someone go and get me a can of pepper spray?" The cashier repeats that theyre not upfront- to which I finally break and stare "it appears that I'm being an inconvenience to you all by asking you to do your job while you're at your job. Clearly no one wants to help or sell this product to me so I will take my business elsewhere" I can't recommend going to another location. I get that the product I'm looking for isn't a regularly sold item at Dicks but for Christ sake; if it's available why is no one trying to sell a customer their product? And it made me look like the asshole- which makes me not only never want to come back here but to write a review on how awful the place is to convince more customers to not come here. If you're looking to buy shoes, don't go there. Employee finally came out more interested in her phone never even acknowledged I was there. I was the only one in there. I finally asked about some shoes and she just pointed to a wall and kept looking at her phone. I had $100 gift certificate, but I will go elsewhere. I would give it a zero if I could. This is the most well-stocked Dick's I've EVER been in!! I don't know if it's because it's Xmas shopping season or what, but they had every size in stock and a HUGE selection of men's clothing. The sales people were helpful and friendly and they gave us a coupon for an extra 15% off when we checked out. read more

I rarely go here, but I received a $50 gift card so I thought I would see if I could find something fitness related. They do have a great selection. I think you could probably get most of it cheaper on Ebay or Amazon, but it is nice to actually see the items. We really did not need any help from any of the salespeople so we never asked. The checkout process was smooth. The bill came to $49.85 and instead of leaving the $.15 on the card, they actually gave it to me. I probably would have thrown the card away with the change on it. So that was nice. It's a decent store, but I doubt I'll shop here more than once a year. read more

My Husband and I were shopping there today but after almost getting ran over by 3 unruly pre-teens running through the store, we decided that since it seems none of the employees cared enough about older customer to find the parents of these unruly children it is probably not the best place to shop. This Dicks could use work. Despite it being organized, clean, and easy to maneuver. The service is lack luster at best. I've been an experienced rock climber for nearly 40 years now. I've traveled around the world, viewing some of the coolest places from a nearly rare point. Every time I go to get new gear I am always shocked by the lack of helpfulness and knowledge their employees hold. I would expect their staff to more knowledgable about rock climbing and my impact on the sport. Do they know who I am? read more

bad people bad prices when I was young my mom bought me the air Jordan retro rising sun shoes. when the cashier charged my mom the price was wrong. After the manager took a long time to fix the problem he charged her what the price was. fast forward 20 years and today there are so many problems and mean goons who work there now. when I shop there I never have anyone help me. Great place get clothes and all of my sports gear here aside from lacrosse that's why I have it a 4 and I do feel like their guns and outdoors section including my favorite sport fishing is depleted. And there is not much service for fishing. Aside from that great store. read more

Love this store! Everything I need and the people who work there are awesome!!! They do not carry rock climbing items at all for a good reason. Not enough people rock climb to merit carrying it. Especially friendly cashier named Marilyn who is super friendly!!! read more
