We ordered from here last night for pick up around 7:30 PM. The food was really disappointing. I ordered two 2 meat platters and two large drinks. The brisket was really bad. It was very dry, it almost made you want to choke thats how dry it was. The fries had TONS of seasoning. It was an overkill though. I couldn't even eat them because there was so much salt on them like 10x more than there should be. Same problem with the okra. The Mac and cheese was super weird. The only thing that was good was the Dr Pepper, garlic toast and the smoked turkey was ok. Maybe it's my fault for ordering later in the night, because nothing tasted fresh. Such a disappointing experience. I ordered the two meat, special brisket and chicken with fried okra as my side. I also added the spicy barbecue sauce for an extra cost. To be a little fair in this review, I did order from DoorDash for delivery. The delivery took an extremely long time so much. I had to complain about the DoorDash driver. However, the food quality was very poor. The brisket was tough. The chicken was a smaller portion than I thought. The okra was decent, but very salty. And the barbecue sauce was great so that was probably the best part, the spicy was extremely spicy though. I also ordered the side of mac & cheese. I've had better mac & cheese, many other places, but it was OK. It also came with a side of toast, but that wasn't anything to write home about. If you're looking for good barbecue, there's so many other places that have better barbecue than a place that has barbecue title such as dickies. I do have to say the dickies barbecue in Texas at most locations are 10 times better. read more

This review is surprising for me. Cuz I am NOT really a bbq girlie. I mean it's got to be good to get this many stars from me. Let's begin with the service behind the counter. Nearly perfect. A sweet lady and two teenage boys. I thought they were HER boys but I was mistaken. They're just really good kids. And the food. So good. I didn't try nearly everything I wanted. But everything on our trays were so super yummy. I can't wait to go back and try other things. More things. We spent a pretty penny but I really don't mind spending good money on great food. I wanted just meat so i ordered 1/4 lb brisket and 1/4 pork and brisket chili Chili was not good. Meat was tasty and satisfying Only big problem was the staff being rather rude and not at all friendly. After they gave me food i needed a ramekin to get the bbq sauce as nothing was available on the floor to get sauce. Workers were not around for a while and when they came out they wouldn't acknowledge us. We were the only one in the store as well read more

I gave one star for courtesy . A pet peeve of my is the wings. When I buy chicken wings @ the grocery store, it's whole wings , wingettes , party wings. When restaurants use the phrase chicken wings it should be the WHOLE WING!!! So the menu show it's $9.00 for 6 wings, In reality it's only 3wings for $9.00. The chicken didn't have any flavor without the sauce The jalapeño beans taste like chili beans with hot spice, I was thinking it would be baked beans since it is a BBQ place. I'm so glad I didn't order ribs, since I don't eat much pork but 1 or 2xs a year & I was planning on trying a BBQ place tomorrow. This Dickey's needs some work. First of all, everyone behind the counter should wear a hat AT ALL TIMES. If your dreads don't fit under a hat, wear a damn hair net. Anyone too lazy to wear a hat makes me wonder about their hygiene. Are they too lazy to wash their hands? Secondly, there is a bar/counter in the restaurant. Don't clutter it up with personal stuff of the employees. A messy counter covered with the personal effects of the staff is a major turn off! It's a place of business, not your house. Is there a closet or staff break room where they can hang their coats and put their drinks and other crap? Customers don't want to see that. Third, I ordered my food expecting to dine in, but was given a tiny plastic bag to go with all my food crammed in there. I guess they're against dine in customers. At least give customers a bag that holds all the food. Finally, what happened to their prices? $20 for a two meat plate and a drink? The competition for my appetite and money is very tight. I can eat my fill for $10 in dozens of restaurants on 41. Those prices are just crazy, especially when they expect tips for counter service. Dickey's used to be a favorite of mine when they were open north of this location. Of course back then, the staff was friendlier, wore hats, and kept a tidy dining room. The food is 4 stars but I'm rating this location a two for the reasons previously listed. read more

Portion size for what I paid was not good. The pulled pork was good, the brisket was dry. They need to pay better attention at wiping down tables. Then no pickles with the meal. Just saw a sign that you have to ask for them. That used to be a dickeys staple. Then the tip jar and receipt with a spot for tips! They did nothing but hand me my overpriced food. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I DoorDashed this place and ordered 2 meat meal (sliced brisket and ribs) with fries extra BBQ sauce and extra pickles. When the order arrived, I received 2 ribs and a little brisket and they forgot the fries and BBQ sauce. I called them back and told them they forgot my fries and BBQ sauce. They told me that someone would deliver the fries. I waited almost an hour and I also noticed a vehicle circling my cal de sac several times. An employee called me 45 minutes later and stated that someone delivering the fries could not find my house. I advised the employee to forget the fries and to tell the driver to forget it. The owner was parked almost in front of my house and called me to tell me he could not find my house. I advised the owner to forget the fries and gave a nice day. I will not be ordering from this place again. read more
