A great BBQ fund while in Philadelphia, MS for the day. Pulled pork was tender & flavorful. It comes without sauce and you get to pick your own sauce at the condiment station, Original, Sweet or Spicy. I got original and it was sooo good. Tangy not sweet with just a little spice to it but not hot at all.

Enough seating for two or more people. Service 3 Stars - we arrived around 1:30 to avoid the lunch rush and both cashiers were counting their till so we had to wait before we can ordered. We ordered two lunch items. Meal: 3.5 Stars Philly Steak and Cheese Poyboy w a drink. So, the cheesesteak comes as a Panni sandwich, flatten down which is odd. It looked like it was ran over with an Asphalt roller. I don't know if my employee requested that way or not. I wish I took a picture but he was all ready devouring it. Burger : 3.5 Stars w fries and drink. I had a burger with a fried egg on it. It was good and juicy but the fries were ok. Some of the fries were partly cooked in the center. As I was eating my meal, I noticed on receipt I ordered two drinks which I was charge but when I paid for the items, the cashier charge me an extra drink on a separate ticket because she thought she didn't think she charge me on the original order. It took staff members to fix the issue and I was refunded for one drink. So make sure the cashier repeat what you ordered. Fortunately it wasn't too busy and they were able to handle the issue immediately.

I had long heard of Krystal because they are similar to the little square sliders at White Castle…read morethat I grew up with in the Midwest. But the former has mostly been a southeastern fixture. So, on a trip to Mississippi where some my wife's relatives live, we stopped into Krystal on the way back to Texas. The restaurant itself has a small dining room with a carpeted floor (kinda has a 90s vibe). The staff were very friendly though, and we didn't have to wait long. We ordered the 24-pack which came out pipping hot in a tower-style carrying case. They seem to have a meatier patty, a fresher, softer and thicker bun, and slightly larger steamed onion slivers and pickles. Also, the biggest difference is that the sliders came standard with mustard. More substantial than White Castle. Delicious! We also tried the sliders with cheese and bacon, which were even better! My wife ordered the mini corn dog and chili dog, which were perfect! The fries and tots were good but nothing over-the-top. If you are ever in Philadelphia, MS then you must try a Krystal slider.

You could taste the mustard, without it being overwhelming. The wait was a little long, but I'll take a longer wait for a perfect sack of hot, fresh, and juicy Krystals.
