I wanted to share my honest experience. Unfortunately, I got food poisoning here last year (2025), and it was very disappointing. I used to eat here all the time with my family, so coming back felt like it would be nostalgic and special. Sadly, it wasn't what I hoped for. Everything looks exactly the same, untouched and outdated. The booths are old, the signs are faded, and it really seems like nothing has been upgraded over the years. Every time I drive by, it still looks the same. The lobby is empty, the parking lot is empty, and even the drive-thru signs look like they're rotting It's just not the same place it used to be, and it doesn't feel inviting anymore. The food at this place is great. Me and my wife have been coming here for quite a few years. They have one employee that's been there forever but the rest there's a lot of turnover. Also, the interior of the place is rundown, and the drive-through has been out for years don't know why somebody can't fix that thing. Also the exterior of the building definitely needs improvement. Wife and I went to try this place out. We pulled into their odd drive through and their big menu is pretty worn out. Regardless, we pulled up to the window and found out that they were out of almost everything, including brisket, chicken, beans, and more. I will never go back to this establishment. I ordered online and then I got a call letting me know they were out of a couple items I ordered. I agreed to exchange those two, but my husband ordered the wings and they didn't have the wings either. My husband brought home ribs in replace and the whole meal was disgusting. I called to take it back but since I had my food a little over a hour they were not willing to help me or even make it right. I will never go back again. We ended up with mostly ribs with gristle and no meat. Just know if you are not satisfied with your meal after you pay high dollar they don't care .I didn't get my bread either. I called back and the young lady on the home told me I was throwing a shit fit over nothing! This really bothered me because we work hard for our money and Bbq is not cheap. They don't care if the customer is taken care of at all. Go elsewhere people. What a poop show this place is. We had them cater for us and was told we needed to give them a 2-3 day lead time. We gave them a week. We told them what time we would be by to pick it. Well...when we showed up, nothing was ready. It took them another 45 minutes to get it together. Well they finally had it ready, we took it home and we didn't get the sliced brisket we paid for. They doubled up the pulled pork and never said a word. We tried to go in and complain but not sure who is running this place. I have tried to contact corporate but all you get is a message and no call back. I guess they don't value their customers. This place was recommended to me. It was my first time here and I tried the basic pulled pork sandwich. Bun was dry, and pork was tasteless and I had to take the meat out and pull it me self. Let me start off by saying we don't go to Dickies very often. Only 1or 2 times since they have opened. We walked in the door and were told no ribs or chicken. The 2 women working need customer service training. They were unfriendly and I could not understand what they were saying half the time. The one that was working the drive up window was very rude to those people. If that had been me i would have been very upset. My husband got the brisket and said it was OK. Lousy meat, but good sides. Service was very poor, even though there was no one in line ahead of or behind us. The sausage had decent flavor but had a bizarre, almost mealy texture and the brisket came in a pile instead of slices. Got a 3 meat plate and a kids plate. The lady at the register disappeared after taking my payment so I had to reach and get the drink cups. Didn't get one of the sides with the 3 meat plate or the roll with the kids plate. Well did my normal order the brisket sandwich combo plate and got them to go and they did it fast and were very nice staff and saw some signs I wanna post up they have breakfast now, breakfast burrito and breakfast tacos and open 7 days a week and 7am-11am and they even have wings now with 8 sauces and 5 size and looked good so I'll try that next time I'm here. read more

I cannot believe I paid $12+ for this plate...50% of the beef brisket was pure inedible fat. How can you serve an entire slice of fat (of only 4 slices)? And the roll was thrown on top of it all, soaking in more oily grease and making that inedible as well. There were no pickles and onions, which should have been included with a plate meal. Let me first start with what great service I received from the staff! They were patient with me in looking over the menu and the questions I had in regards to the menu. I was even offered a sample of the side dishes offered to help me narrow down what o wanted. The establishment was clean and welcoming. I ordered a three meat plate to sample the variety of meat and I knew I wanted a brisket sandwich also so I ordered for myself and hubby. I also had signed up for the yellow cup club so that was bonus. I was happy with the presentation of our meal. I did find the jalapeño beans to be a bit spicy but when I asked to change the side they did with no questions asked. When I sampled the sides I only sample the potatoes. The pork ribs were delicious and of course no complaints on the brisket. The shredded pork was moist and delicious! Overall, I am definitely coming back. I support businesses who support students .... I definitely saw the pics on the wall and remembered they gifted our girls basketball banquet at Tibbetts. Update today(12/6) ,stopped in for a family pack because I did say I was coming back. Well decided to order the family pack ... got in line being patient then the kid took my order sorry he says no ribs till 7!!! What the heck , it's 4:30 pm on a Friday how can there be no ribs!! Atmosphere is good. Food items on the menu are ok, sides need to be closer to food menu (way at the end), your looking at far left for sides and looking straight in front of you. Kinda of makes you lose concentration of what you want. Second, food came out warm/cool. After a few minutes of sitting down, the food was cold. Third, take down the "BudLight" sign if your not serving BudLight... that beverage would had been excellent with my lunch. I would literally leave negative stars on this place! The customer service was awful, but it was amazing compared to the food! Placed our order multiple times, the guy just ask what do want and starts getting the order, and just puts any meat in there, but the cashier asked what we ordered and saw the order was wrong and corrected it. Got the brisket and it was mostly fat. We asked for bbq sauce and the guy just said yeah like he would put it with our order, but no sauce. The meat tasted ok, but very greasy like it was from the bottom of the barrel maybe that's why it was mostly fat and little meat. The sides got potato salad it was good, and the BBQ beans and they were hard. I have had dickies before but not this location and the quality is not like the other locations. I've never eaten at the restaurant - only had take-out, and it's been great every time. Great BBQ and great sides (other than the mac-n-cheese). First time I went in I was getting lunch for my staff (8 people) and the owner came out and talked to me while I waited and gave me free cookies for the entire group, which was very nice. One of the best things about Dickie's is the online ordering - it's SO easy and it covers EVERYTHING. One of these days I'll dine in, but it has become my new "go-to" BBQ spot in Farmington. read more

I don't pretend to be an expert at evaluating bar-b-que meats. In my experience the differentiation between bar-b-que restaurants is not the actual meat, which I find are all quite good, but the variety and quality of the side dishes and also the way the meal is served. I'm not a fan of eating my meal off a piece of butcher paper. At least give me a paper plate. In Farmington, the one thing that elevates Dickey's above all other dedicated bar-b-que places is the fact that you can have a beer with your meal, at least usually. It appears to be an on again off again thing in my experience. The one thing I noticed that could be improved is the fact that you cannot see the menu while standing back in line. You can't actually read the menu board until you are close enough to order, which results in unnecessary delays as people try to decide what to order. read more

Ordered a two meat plate. It looked like a child's plate as I looked inside and found two small ribs with little meat and four coins of sausage. I had enjoyed eating there before but now haven't eaten there for over a year. Service is adequate at the drive-up, but not great. Could be better. Kinda pricey. Tried their pulled pork -- it was fresh and juicy. Above-average BBQ meat. I like their sauces. Customer service was just fine, didn't experience any of the negative stuff other reviewers have described. The ribs were like eating beef jerky with BBQ sauce on it, the staff looked bored and confused, two TVs were blasting two different NFL games at the same time. The ambiance was just total chaos. I could not cut the meat with the plastic knife and fork, and very little of the meat was edible. I did not order any of the other food on the menu, hopefully it is better than the ribs. If you are going to put the game on, choose one or the other, and turn down the sound on at least one of the TVs, but better, turn down the sound on both TVs, since you can't understand what the announcers are saying anyway. CALL BEFORE YOU GO TO ENSURE THEY HAVE YOUR ENTIRE ORDER! Don't order online! As other reviewers have mentioned they are usually out of signature items (Like Ribs?) early (5:30 pm) on weekends. Last night got the call from the store as I was pulling in to notify me of sold-out items (Ribs and Chicken) so I picked up the sandwich and four sides that I already paid for and returned home to find we were served medium-rare waffle fries and the pulled pork sandwich wasn't warm (it sat out while I waited for them to partially cook the fries). I called the restaurant back to inform them of the mistake and was promised a refund and that the GM would call me to sort out the issues. I then made a trip to the other BBQ place to pick up ribs and chicken. Had to put the fries in the oven and the sandwich in the microwave. This Dickies location always disappoints in one way or another, which is sad because their other stores in NM (Gallup and ABQ) seem to do great business and I've never had issues, which leads me to believe that the management of this store is not up to corporate standards. So a big pet peeve of mine is when you walk into a restaurant and NOBODY greets you. We showed up about an hour before closing time and there was literally nobody in there, and still no greeting. I can sometimes understand if it's mad busy, but there was no one there... come on guys! The food was okay. I had the pork which was decent, and the chicken sausage which was just kinda meh. Ordered my wife's usual half rack and it was a great order of ribs as usual. I usually don't order for myself as I am not a bbq affectionado, but I wanted to get home so I ordered a Westerner sandwich which is a 2 meat and cheese sandwich on a toasted hoagie roll. What could go wrong, this isn't subway and a sandwich with 3 items on it should be easy, right? I ordered the sandwich with pulled pork and turkey for the 2 meats. Got home, ready to eat to find a cut in half untoasted hoagie roll with some sliced turkey on it all loose in the container. No cheese and no pulled pork. $10.50 hmmmmm worth it? Nope. I toasted the bun in the oven, warmed the turkey, added some cheese and ate the 7 inch or so sandwich which I could have got the subway 6 inch for about half that with all sorts of veggies. Then I also had cole slaw in the bag for 2.25 which I hadn't ordered but was charged for. I figured it was part of some meal deal. So overall a $28.95 order for a 5-6$ value sandwich and 6 ribs. Good deal for the restaurant, but I don't feel I got my moneys worth. The turkey and the bun was pretty good I have to admit after getting it toasted, meat warmed and cheese added. read more

Okay, I'm partial to this place. Having to eat there multiple times in other cities, I've always found something delicious to eat. This place is smaller than most other Dickeys but they menu is the same. They have a wide variety of BBQ and sides. Family packs are also available and dessert too. Granted this place is still new and they are having difficulty in handling the crowds, this place is going to be a hit! I had the BBQ sausage sandwich with potato salad and waffle fries, the BBQ sauce is good! They have a 3 sauces, original, spicy, and sweet. Amazing, amazing, amazing! They've only been open only four weeks so they are still working out the kinks but we didn't find the wait long at all. They actually gave us an free side of because THEY thought our wait was a little longer than it should have been. It's refreshing that such a new establishment is so customer service oriented. So enough about the amazing service, lets get to the amazing food. Having lived in the south for nine years, the hubs and I were fortunate enough to become acquainted with southern bbq and Carolina style; this bbq is what we consider to be Carolina style and is the best bbq we've had since moving back to NM (six years ago!)! We had the beef brisket and pulled pork and both meats had just the right amount of hickory smoke and they were juicy without being greasy, and that was all without sauce. Add their sauce and holy cow, slap your grandma it's good! Oh and if you like Rudy's spicy sausage, seriously try Dickey's Spicy Cheddar Sausage, it's amazing. I'm not really a sausage person and I have always found Rudy's to be to peppery and Dickey's has just the right amount of spice, nothing overpowering and the cheddar adds a nice velvety finish. Driving through from California to Texas. Made an online order which got screwed up by the system not the store. Store corrected problem. Had the brisket and pulled pork. Both a little dry which is OK because that is what the sauce is for. Really good. It is located around 4 hotel/motels so they should make a lot of money. Would stop by again next time I am driving through. Don't live in the area so really don't understand the bad reviews. Place was clean and service was good. read more

I won't be back. We entered the restaurant at 5 pm and no one else was there. I noticed first that the trash bin was jammed full to overflowing. There were several of the special notices and so forth on the floor. Tables looked ... not obviously dirty but not obviously ready for business either. There were fours guys milling around behind the counter apparently with nothing to do. Really? I would have left at this point but a group of friends was coming. I stepped up and mentioned the trash bin. Nothing happened. Group arrived and we ordered. They mixed up the sides on several of our orders. The food was okay. By the time we were having desert (nice touch having "free ice cream"), I noticed that the trash bin still had not been taken care of and now there we several trays teetering there with all containers and flatware on them (since there was no way anything could be dumped in the bin). I politely told a counter person about it again. And finally it was taken care of - except that the bin was merely emptied but the area wasn't wiped down at all. I left hoping they run those metal trays through a dishwasher as I'd just eaten (pulled pork) off of one with just a piece of paper under it. Finally the meat was okay though rather dry. The sides were okay. And it's pricey I think: $14.00 for one meat, two small paper cups of sides and a small drink. Not outrageous for the area, I suppose, but not worth it in my opinion. read more
