Only three contractors got back to me with quotes (one with extremely high cost). Nice impression in 1st meeting. Jim and his team have been great with their communication by email and text. We have been very happy with the results. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again for other projects in the future.

Their plan looked wonderful, and after a month we had a few questions. After meeting with a ton of other contractors, we established a few questions we never thought of before we started this project. They told us that we would have a ton, and they would be very happy to help us. We are going to spend a lot of money, and wanted to make sure that the money we were going to spend was going to the right people. We asked the same 12 questions to the other contractor and they got back to us within a few days. I do not feel the questions were out of line, but apparaently they did not want to answer them. Look we are getting into a large project. Full kitchen and two bathrooms with a 1800 sq ft home getting its hardwoods completely restained and sanded. We got an email saying that they had been out of town, after a week of not hearing from them. After that never heard from them again. Still, have never heard from them. We emailed, and texted them many times. Nothing. I understand life happens, and things happen. However I have been in customer service most of my life, and if something happens you let your customers know why you cannot or will not be able to respond. After excellent service, there was no follow through, and after telling us, we would have a ton of questions, and they would be happy to answer any of them, they never did.

After meeting Jim, the owner, we knew this was the company we wanted to work with. American Dream Design Build has built a solid reputation over its 20-year history in Puyallup, and working with a local builder with established relationships and processes was important to us. From our first consultation, it was clear that their team understood our concerns and priorities. They listened carefully to our vision and provided honest feedback, ensuring we felt confident about each step of the process. The communication remained open and transparent throughout, which put our minds at ease and made the renovation experience surprisingly enjoyable. Our designer, Grace, beautifully redesigned our existing bathroom to meet our current needs. She offered suggestions we hadn't considered to maximize the space. Grace was phenomenal and so was the showroom; everything you can imagine and then some. With so many design options, it might have taken weeks to narrow down the choices, but Grace made it easy. She analyzed our existing aesthetics and put together several great options, making sure everything matched our vision and budget. Her attention to detail was impressive, and we appreciated how she explained the pros and cons of each option. Her expertise made us feel confident in every choice. Andrew, the project manager, was equally impressive. From the start, he coordinated every aspect of the job, making sure timelines were met and any unexpected issues were addressed quickly. His professionalism and responsiveness gave us confidence that the project would run smoothly, and we always felt informed about progress and next steps. Keith stood out for his reliability and work ethic. He was a true Jack of all trades, adding all jewelry - the finishing touches that brought it all together. Keith's friendly demeanor and willingness to answer our questions contributed to the positive atmosphere throughout the renovation. Thank you Keith, for going the extra mile to fix the bathroom door that hadn't closed properly in twenty years. I'd love to hire you for a day to fix all the little things that need attention. You rock! Everyone who worked on our project was pleasant and professional: plumbers, electricians, tile setters and painters (Beautiful jobs, guys!) and we really appreciate that they always cleaned up at the end of the day, keeping the mess to a minimum. ADDB didn't give us the lowest bid but as they say, you get what you pay for. Peace of mind is priceless. Our finished bathroom is well designed, well built and simply beautiful; I sometimes go there just to look at it! It's so good we're even considering a refresh/update for our second bathroom. Thank you to everyone for bringing our vision to life. - C & B Tacy

Avoid Rockwell Interior Design, which is also operating as Chic Cabinetry…read more(Rockwellcabinetsdesign.com) in Gig Harbor, WA. We chose Rockwell/Chic at the recommendation of our contractor, as this was their preferred cabinet provider. This proved to be a mistake, as Liane Rockwell was more interested in satisfying her sense of design than meeting our needs within the space available. Our contractor needed to intervene to get the design changes we needed. Then the design mistakes showed up with the cabinets. Drawers would not fit under bathroom sinks and had to be remade, the kitchen appliance garage was missing the internal box and shelves, and the storage cabinet for our laundry room was delivered without anything to support the internal shelves and it was 2 inches shorter than needed, preventing the installation of the adjacent cabinets flush to the ceiling as desired. The Liane's response was, "Those things happen", and she refused to correct the situation. Leaving our contractor to deal with the cabinet manufacturer.
