Two of them from this company come to the door with no masks or distancing. I'd rather not continue business with them.

My main contact, Joe Pascua, has been completely unresponsive and constantly procrastinating on the project. At first, they claimed they couldn't start until they received more information once they got it, they added another four weeks to the schedule. After I submitted payment, communication became sparse and inconsistent. Joe repeatedly promised updates and completion dates that never materialized. This ongoing lack of communication and follow-through has cost me hundreds of dollars per day in delays, and continues as I have yet to receive the finished permit-ready drawings. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company they do not deliver on their commitments or communicate in a timely manner. If you don't have money to waste stay away.

He was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and offered advice when the government was illegally trying to hold us up on our project. They by far have the best prices in the industry, and a company has never looked out for my interest the way these guys did! They did a wonderful job on our shop inspection, and the home design they are doing for us is coming along beautifully. I can't recommend them enough, whether you need an architect, structural engineer, designer, or anything in between, whatever your home needs are go to these guys! They will take good care of you! In 2010, as I was approaching sixty years of age, I found an amazing old (and run-down) homestead…read moresite near the southern tip of Puget Sound, and began imagining a house and studio. I've been a designer and fabricator of furniture and sculpture for over forty-five years, so it wasn't difficult to start developing ideas. As I dreamed I began looking around for assistance with the process, and found Artisans Group. I didn't go to Artisans Group looking for an industry-leading eco-home. I came because I saw a couple of their projects and loved the clean modern style Tessa Smith and Randy Foster were putting together. They were realizing designs that seemed to me to be far beyond what other design/build groups were creating. Architecture has been a fascination most of my life, and what I saw in the lines and volumes Tessa was producing was a natural feel for proportions, for minimal and unique details, for the flow of life patterns in a home, and particularly for the play of light, natural and artificial, as it enhances and defines spaces and the experience of living. With Tessa and Artisans I got all of that plus a great experience of collaboration in design, and a house that always surprises me--because it is somehow more "me" than I would have designed by myself. It's a "world house," designed with details and technological solutions that are distinctly European and soundly ecological in a way that just makes sense. The house stays at comfortable temperatures with the air always fresh while using a tenth of the energy of my last house. The biggest surprise was when I moved in and found the experience to be more physically comfortable than I would have--or could have--imagined. The house seems to have its own body temperature, and wears like a glove. The Jewel Box (as we nick-named it during the design process) was designed to be a home and gallery. It has become a museum of my life's work and remains so comfortable and inspiring that I stay home wondering why I would want to be anywhere else. Artisans did it right, and I moved in a month before that sixtieth birthday. Over eight years later I'm still daily grateful that I get to live here. I love this place. -Don Freas (donfreas.com)

I ended up finding a not-so-perfect home in the perfect neighborhood and knew I wanted Artisans Group to help with the remodel. This proved to be the best decision I could have made. Throughout the process I always had my expectations met and exceeded, as the team at AG proved to be attentive, genuine, and innovative in their approach to the design of our home. I liked this company so much that after our home was completed, I went to work for them as a designer. Can't say enough good things about Artisans Group, as a client and designer, working with a team that is as passionate about their craft as Artisans Group makes all the difference.

Chris bought new hardware took the existing steps apart and put them back together, with the new hardware, and the were solid and better then ever. The next project was the "Dining room". He removed the wallpaper and scraped the popcorn ceiling. Pulled up the old carpet. Installed a new subfloor and some gorgeous black slate. He removed the old framing from the windows and doors. Replaced all the windows (eventually "all 30 windows" in the entire home) with new Pella windows. He also replaced the 3 sliding doors. He stained and put up new framing on all the windows and door. He installed my new chandelier. As mentioned above he also replace all 30 windows in the house and did all the internal framing. He introduced me to a painter and they worked together on the outside, Chris framed up the windows on the outside and painter was able to caulk and paint the exterior of the home. Other projects Chris has done for me "The Garage" Cleaning (taking all my old junk away, and there was a lot of it), adding a second floor for storage with a pull down stair case, and a slider in the in the back of the garage for easy access to the 2nd floor. He put up insulation, siding and painted the entire garage and added several new outlets. He also built a custom shed that fits next to our deck. Chris is my go to guy for advice whenever I am considering any project and he has come out to oversee work on several occasions! Highly recommended!!!

After spending 10k in new drainage outside of my house hoping to stop the water intrusion and finding it did not, felt defeated and had no idea where to turn next. I had heard about Chris and Bodhi Builders through some friends and decided to give him a call. Chris came out and asked if he could pull out a section of wall where the water was before we discussed my "vision" for downstairs. First thing was stopping the water. He knew right away what the problem was and it was simple - old deck flashing was allowing water to get trapped and it was making its way down the wall onto the floor! I don't know how the prior two companies missed this but needless to say, I felt so much relief because I could see the issue myself and with Chris' explanation it made it much more easy to digest. Chris and I finished the walkthrough with what I wanted to accomplish and he and his crew fit me into their schedule. Peace of mind was on the way. Throughout my time with Chris and the crew learned that the team has extensive design and build crossover with the restaurant industry apart from residential work which only adds to their artistic eye and craftsmanship. This is a well tenured group that I will bring back when I remodel my upstairs bathrooms and kitchen. I am still moving things around so my picture story is not complete but this was once a 1976 wood panel (the kind of panel that would give you slivers and that had spiders living in it) kind of basement. Thank you Chris and Bodhi Builders for bringing me into modern times! Leah M.

See full description below. We hired Tomasi back in November 2022 to demo part of our existing patio, lay a new concrete patio, and install a cover over the concrete patio section so we could use the space as indoor outdoor living space. The concrete pour happened in December 2022 after the team demo'd the existing area. They did a great job and everything went smoothly. Everything after the concrete pour is where we started having issues. The area outside our house was left a mess with concrete rubble and rebar scattered about, the porch steps hadn't been rebuilt to our previously existing porch, and our crawl space had concrete rubble and trash inside it with no new cover being built yet. We had to ask multiple times for this work to be completed, in addition to the power washing and sealing the concrete like Tomasi had promised. He didn't want to finish the job until the cover came in, which was understandable until the cover was delayed from a January arrival time to indefinitely. After months of following up with him to try and get answers about the cover, we were eventually told that it would arrive on May 2nd. We followed up a few times before and were told Tomasi was in Hawaii and would pick it up and install it when he was back, but that it had come in. Fast forward another week without updates, Tomasi told us him and his wife had come down with Covid and didn't know when they would return from Hawaii. After months of the cover being pushed off, we gave the cover company a call and we were told they had no record of our order. We've been trying to remedy this with Tomasi who claims he's still not back from Hawaii for over a month now. Tomasi gave us the option to terminate our contract, and offered a partial refund if $2,547.75 due to the cover not being completed, which we decided to move forward with on May 20. I followed up on May 24 since we still hadn't received it with no response. I checked in again on May 31 asking if he could send over the termination contract by end of day 6/1 and received a lengthy reply telling me he won't be reimbursing me for the patio cover and will not send over a reimbursement settlement (which is no longer what we asked for, we just wanted the termination agreement, plus the $2,547.75 refund he offered us due to the patio cover not being completed). I checked in again on June 7, and he said he received the agreement the past Friday and requested some things be changed, but that we should have it that day or the day after. No updates, followed up again on June 10th with no response. At this point, it's been 6 weeks since we originally requested the termination agreement, and we just want to move on. I unfortunately can't recommend Tomasi given the work wasn't completed and at this point we can't even get a termination agreement sent to us or the partial refund he offered. I will update this review if we ever hear back or receive a termination contract, etc.

The interior was cozy and inviting, with a surprising touch--beautiful cutting boards displayed and available for purchase. While the craftsmanship was impressive, the prices felt a bit steep. We arrived around 10 AM, and I'm not sure if it was because of the holiday or just the timing, but most of the food options were already gone. The remaining baked goods, quiches, and hand pies looked appealing, though the prices ranged from $4-$10, which seemed a bit high. I opted for a carrot cake muffin. It was good--solid in flavor and texture--but I'm not sure it justified the $5 price tag. My friend ordered a flat white and described it as decent but unremarkable. The shop itself is quite small, and the layout wasn't the most intuitive. It wasn't clear where the line started, and since they preferred to keep the queue from spilling into the building lobby, customers were crammed into a tight space. Parking was another challenge, as most of it was limited to street parking. Overall, while the experience had its highlights, and probably would've been better maybe not on a holiday.
