I just would like to state that my family and I have been coming here for years since 2010 and always had a great experience in the past. But recently their service department has ruined it for us. So with recently my wife's 2010 F150 had a taillight that need a bulb to replaced due to moisture buildup and seel needing to be reapplied. So my wife set an appointment and brought her vehicle in. Within a week or so of having bulb replaced we noticed that her left taillight cover had fallen off (weird right). So I follow my wife to inform the service department of what has happened. I escorted the service manager to show him just what I was talking about because he kind of smirked at my wife like she was lying or he couldn't understand what we were talking about. He told me that the event couldn't be related to service provided due they only replaced the bulb. I tried to explain to him that there was quite a bit of moisture buildup and the technician had to drain the water sitting in the bottom of the assembly and that there was a newer sealant applied. He all but laughed in my face and told me that NO ONE WOULD HAVE DONE THAT???? Wheni asked to speak to the technician whom had previously worked on my wife's vehicle, the manager informed my wife and I that that specific technician had recently quit "with a chuckle". He then informed us that we would now have to order a complete left rear taillight assembly to have it replaced but they didn't have it in stock. Let's just say that we wasted approximately $300.00 at this point on to have the new assembly installed just for the light to still not work correctly. It continues to only come on intermittently while signaling. With being in the military for many years and having to move what feels like all over God's Green Earth we have never had problems with a so called professional dealership like this. With our most recent joke of an experience of late we are now looking for a new FORD dealership to support. It's just sad because we have recommended this specific service department to many friends and family members over the years. I just hope that they were provided better service than this. Best service Department around. Our vehicles are not always purchased at Dick Edwards over the past 25 years but the service department always takes care of them. Fast, friendly and fair service. We went to the service department at Dick Edwards Ford to fix the horrible customer service we received at another dealership. We purchased our brand new Explorer in San Antonio TX at the worst dealership Ford McCombs West not even a week ago. Long story short the dealer in San Antonio sent us out with a shaky vehicle telling us the tires "just needed to be broken in" a 12 hour car ride later putting up with a horribly vibrating vehicle, we took it to Dick Edwards Service Department. Steve not only did he replace the tires for us, he gave us better tires and a car wash all within about an hour and a half. Not to mention they were already pretty busy with appointments. We received amazing customer service from them, I talked to my in-laws who live here in Junction and they also said how great the customer service has been there when they have taken their car in for service. I highly recommend this dealer and I am very pleased with their service. read more

Went there for an oil change and waited for the truck to be done. Only waited about an hour. They were pretty busy that morning but with tv and free WiFi i didn't mind waiting. They also had a shuttle to take home if you didn't want to wait there. read more

Made an appointment for a service because free time isn't something I have a lot of. But, when I showed up, they said they had no record of me in the system. When I played the recorded confirmation message from "Mona", the service manager "Robert" could only offer me the possibility of getting it done sometime that day. BEWARE: making an appointment doesn't mean you actually have one, and if they screw it up, they have no intention of doing right by the customer. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Attempted to buy a new car through Dick Edwards JC in March. Out of respect for fellow human beings I won't give out any names. I need to point out that the sales manager seemed great. I came to the dealership with cash in hand and I was firm on the type of new car I wanted. The salesman kept trying to coax me into a 2019 model or other models, wouldn't pay much attention to what I wanted, and kept giving me a runaround. The salesman started acting strangely when it came to price negotiation. I ended up buying the exact same NEW car in a different dealership for $2,500 less than what this salesman said he'd sell for. Note I was very calm and fair through the process, but I ultimately left for a different dealer because the salesman made me uncomfortable. I'd give the overall Dick Edwards experience four stars, because the rest of the team was very nice and seemed genuine. I'm giving the salesman only one star in the matter. I won't punish the entire company with a dumb Yelp review over one salesman. read more

Disappointed in the service department. I scheduled an oil, fuel filter, and two recalls service for my vehicle. I specifically stated the four things I wanted down three times and was "assured" it would get completed. They had my vehicle all day, when I picked it up was told everything was completed and "good to go". After reviewing my bill the next day, I realized the fuel filter wasn't completed. I called them and was told "sorry for the inconvenience and misunderstanding." I told them there wasn't a misunderstanding. They failed to listen to what I wanted despite saying it numerous times. I was told to bring it right back in and they will take care of it. I watched it sit on the lift for 25 minutes without being touched or worked on (yes I was charged for that as well). Rather than making it right and owning their failure, they proceeded to charge me for labor all over again despite having my truck and charging me for the previous day's labor. Take the drive to manhattan to get your vehicle serviced. They only care about making money at this dealership. read more

Even when they have no cars in the bay and you watch them roll your car in right away somehow it still takes them days instead of hours to do simple repairs. Made an appointment for an oil change and it still took seven hours to get it done. What is the point of an appointment if they can't get the work finished in a timely manner. Thought it must have been a bad day and gave them another chance took it back for some other repairs. They said they would have it looked at by that afternoon and two days later they still have my vehicle and no word on when I can come get it. Timelines they offer for things to be completed keep passing and when I call they simply offer a new time for it to be done. Stay away!! Over priced, terrible wait time for service to be done, and constant excuses. read more

This is not my first service attempt with this dealership, but it will most definitely be my last. I arrived in Kansas in December of 2014, since then I have exclusively had my vehicles serviced with this dealership. Over this span of time that included: 2011 Kia Optima 2007 Dodge Nitro 2015 Ford Mustang Most of my services here were routine oil changes, with the exception of a lowering spring kit that I had installed on my Optima. MY first complaint deals with the dealerships "appointment" system. When making an appointment it is only possible to schedule services on a specific DAY, not an allocated or projected time slot. What this results in is vehicles that could be serviced "first thing" or "will be completed that day." What this results in is dropping off your vehicle the night before, or first thing the day of and being left with no indication of when and or if you vehicle will be serviced. As I rely on my vehicle to travel to and from work this causes a major inconvenience. They claim that they offer a shuttle to drop you off and pick you up from you "destination," however, offer no ability to get around throughout the day as you wait on your vehicle to be serviced. This is particularly unacceptable when having a vehicle purchased from this dealership and covered under warranty and not be offered a personal courtesy vehicle for use while in for service. In relation to the appointment system, should you choose to wait on a vehicle, especially in the circumstance of services such as an oil change, or tire rotation, again you are given no indication of how long your wait is going to be. I have never had a "Customer Waiting" service completed in anything fewer then 45 minutes. Considering I have visited dealerships and had oil changes completed in as little as 15 minutes I find this again, unacceptable. My next complaint deals with the dealership's service technician distribution. This is the only dealership I have visited that operates like a private auto shop. Many of the times I requested service on my vehicles I was met with the fact that the particular service technician that completed that type of service was not available("Alignment Guy," "Ford Technician," "Suspension Guy".) This is a Dealership if I'm not mistaken, and to have a single technician complete ALL of a specific type of service is very poor business and service management. This type of operation only exacerbates the problem of delivering services in an adequate time frame. This situation had left me waiting sometimes weeks for an appointment to have a service completed. The actual repairs or services that I received at this dealership were also disappointing. When I began servicing my vehicles here it was because I was willing to pay that little extra with the understanding that the dealership was doing things "by the manual." My last few visits clearly proved that my money was not well spent. For instance, I had a typical Ford "my works" service completed on my mustang. I provided them with the oil I wished to use and asked for and was to receive a rotation and balance on my aftermarket wheels and summer tires. I specifically asked that the service technician road test the vehicle following the service as I was having a slight vibration issue. During the "My Works" service, part of the "multi-point inspection" is the assess the tires wear pattern (On my report they were listed as GREEN, with no UNUSUAL WEAR PATTERN) The service was completed as I had requested. After taking my vehicle onto the highway I was immediately faced with an almost uncontrollable vibration(I was actually scared for my safety.) I immediately returned to the dealership where I was informed that the technician had not road tested the vehicle as I had requested. The service manager informed me that the issue was caused by tire scalping(unbalanced tires causing an UNUSUAL WEAR PATTERN,) and offered to return the tires to their original locations, however, I was still required to pay for the rotation as they had already completed the service. read more

Transmission...2006 Ford Explorer. Put in a new transmission. Had it done in Denver at a Ford Dealer, because that is where our son goes to school. Thought it was a done deal and we were happy. When he came home for a visit, he shared that he was having problems with the transmission. The safety of our son is paramount, so he drove a different vehicle back to Denver. In the meantime, we took the vehicle to Dick Edwards (purchased the vehicle from Manhattan Dick Edwards). I am pleased to say that after a repair that did not do the job, a new transmission was put in and all is good. I appreciated their willingness to work with us to get the repair done right. the service desk is very bad and when i said bad I mean the worst. went there to change spark plugs and the guy told me that he would not do it because he want me to buy the spark plugs from him. he wants me to pay over a 100 dollars for them plus a 120 per hour and they said it will take them 2 hours. so almost 400 dollars for spark plugs. the personnel at the service desk is horrible and i would not recommend them they are all about making money and don't care about customers. this happens to me before on other services they are very pricey on everything. i don't recommend this dealership to anyone read more

Had a 90 percent bad/ 10 percent good experience with the service department while getting maintenance, when I arrived for my 3p.m. Service, they ask me to sign a waiver stating that I consent to agree that they are not responsible if anything breaks or is lost while in service. I signed it and said I would not return after this days business is over if I have to agree to say, if you break or lose my my property it's not your fault as a business. Reason being, there are plenty of professional shops in the area that don't greet paying customers with a piece of paper rendering their business blame free right out the gate. In giving Dick Edwards Auto Plaza the benefit of the doubt, this waiver "may" be referencing particular circumstances, but it is certainly not defined, and frankly it's not my job as the customer to try and interpret these things to try and figure out what they mean. Tony (the service specialist I was working with) said that the form wasn't meant to sound like that, and it needs to be amended to clarify circumstances, so that was good. However in over-hearing my concern a second specialist snapped at me and said "we'll just rip it up and let that be that" so Tony ripped my waiver up for me. I asked for a comment card to let my experience as a customer be known to the business. The 3 people I asked, had no idea what a comment card was. Which shows that there is no formal complaint procedures or vice versa no way to recognize their staff for good works by the customer. With no comment cards there is no formal way to hold their staff accountable. And with the waiver, they appear to be attempting run a blame free business. Neither of which gave me a good feeling about them. Moving forward, I told Tony I came for the 40 dollar service called "the works", for my wife's car she already scheduled maintenance for, and ask them to replace the belt. Tony took my vehicle and I waited for 1 hr and 45 minutes. Then I was greeted with a 160 dollar bill, and I said that can't be right, I was not expecting to pay 4 times the amount I thought I would be paying. Tony explained the belt replacement took the price from 40$ to 160$. I asked him if he thought he should have mentioned the ridiculous price jump before services, and I further asked how is it not the policy of the business to let customers know the price of what there buying, PRIOR to buying it, if it's going to be substantially more than what I am initially agreeing to pay (the 40$ for "the works") I explained to him it was my understanding that the service I came in for was sent to us in the mail and I understood it as they was going to take care of the belt, or at worst, cost a little more than the initial 40$, but 160 ? Come on this feels like a scam. And not telling me until it's time to pay, feels like a cheap shot to my wallet. I bought a belt weeks earlier for 18$ at O'reillys but decided not to tackle it myself since I understood that Dick Edwards was gonna take care of it for a reasonable price anyhow. Otherwise, had I of known upfront (prior to service) that they would slap me with an additional 120$ I would have never agreed to it. I left very upset and disturbed from how I was treated. I called a manager to explain I would be making a customer review but wanted to let them know of my experience first, so they might treat people better than they treated me in the future, I explained that I don't wish to speak unfavorably about anyone but people have a right to know how it is at Dick Edwards service shop and the manager (Tim) asked me not to put out the review because it hurts the sales department. The next day another manager (Mike) called me and he said Tony told him, the whole price was explained to my wife on the phone (a 100% complete lie) and Mike asked me what I want, I told him I just want to make these things known and for future customers not to have to go through what I went through, because we don't deserve this. I said it was good on Tony for at least appearing concerned of my critiques at the time I was there, but the blame-free, no accountability and sudden price surprises kind of system would keep me from coming back to do business with them. To that, Mike said well sorry for your inconvenience sir and when you come back work with me directly. I replied thanks, but no thanks. read more
