I specifically went to the market for the Friday late afternoon/evening paella. The employees were…read morevery friendly and did a great job of helping me out. The paella itself tasted delicious with lots of mussels, clams, shrimp and some chunks of pork. As of 1/26, it's 35 dollars a serving (serving size is a quart)

I was there last time for their freshly cooked paella and it was impeccable. Recently we came back…read moretwice, once on Sunday as I forgot that the paella was a Friday thing, so the staff told me that they usually have paella and clam chowder freshly cooked on Friday. They happened to have a small tub of Friday clam chowder left for sale, for a whopping $16! That price dropped my rating to a 4 star. Service is still 5, but man, the value proposition isn't as high as before. The clam chowder tasted good, creamy and all, but $16 for that is really hard to swallow. The store itself is clean and sells a variety of meat products and imported goods such as from Italy. We came again on Friday evening, at 5pm exact and saw the paella pan laid outside with some amount of paella piled up. The pan felt cold and we were confused if they haven't started cooking or those were the left over. So we went inside to ask and they said the paella was available starting at 5pm, so what's on the pan was cooked. We bought 1 portion, which feeds 2-3 and it came in two 16 oz tubs. For $35, it fed my husband and myself just right. The smoky flavor was on the rice with meat and lots of clams and mussels (but not those fatty mussels that you saw in the Belgium style dish). $35 for dinner of two is not as bad value as the $16 bowl of chowder. So overall, 3.5-4 stars for food and value, 5 stars for service and friendliness.

Look no further. These folks go above and beyond with their quality of meat.. freedom meat locker and El Sal are my two must do go to in this area. I wanted to give a particular shout out to their Nuremberg sausage. My mother is from Germany and it's hard even nowadays to find this well of a quality of a sausage in Germany in my opinion.. to me it taste a little more like a Rostbratwurst Rauchzipfel which is really hard to find anywhere in the United States. It's mildly spicy spunky and just super flavorful .Buy some of these babies and just eat them on a roll with some mustard and some sauerkraut or you can do all kinds of fun stuff with them. I have more things I love from this place. I'll just have to post them on or another review, but I just wanted to give a big shout out for those beauty full sausages. If you live local and you haven't checked this place out you're missing out and if you live far away and you're happy to be passing through town I super suggest you stop in and grab some of the lovely things theyhave in the shop. You may pay more than some processed sausage that you get in a supermarket, but I promise you it's worth it.

We have frequented this amazing butcher for years. We…read morenoticed in the fall how affordable the beef was (especially in the current economic reality). One of our favorite butchers, who I think is the owner, explained that they want everyone to have access to good beer and so they are keeping their prices on certain cuts at cost! Our chuck roast was cheaper at El Salchichero than Safeway!! Tender, delicious and clean- what a gift to our community. Also great place to pick up Rancho Gordo beans.

The restaurant is set in a semi-residential area within a converted house. The interior is cozy,…read moreCLEAN, and comfortable. The exterior has been renovated recently to not only expand seating (because of local popularity), but also allow for a semi-enclosed patio area, with heat lamps galore, and a tent drape to change the space as needed. I most recently ate here on Valentine's Day (2026). It was a busy night, but the service was (and has been consistently) excellent. The drinks are delicious, and since it was a busy night, my spouse & I doubled up on our drink orders to reduce wait time later. #protip #yourwelcome. The vibe is chill, and you need not be in a hurry while enjoying time at Aroma. We had calamari (YUM-so fresh) & coconut shrimp (always order 2- because YUM). For mains, we ordered the lasagna and salmon. We shared and had no regrets. The pasta options here are so hard to choose - I want all of them. The short rib tortellini are SO GOOD. We ordered dessert to go (cheesecake & chocolate mousse cake). On the evening, there was live music, which was very enjoyable. There isn't exactly space to dance out of the way of the service staff, but that doesn't stop the locals.

Ordered that fajitas and they don't give you enough tortilla to finish the meal. When I asked for more server gave an annoyed look and said well that's an extra charge, Took 15 min to finally cash out and the husband was late getting back to work. We paid cash and she seemed annoyed when j said I needed change. Like what expect when I hand you $80 on a $55 bill?? Then the icing on the cake heard her berate an elderly patron sitting next to me when she complained she didn't realize the taco she ordered was so small. Her exact word "Well what do you expect for $5". Completely rude server and false advertising on the menu options.
