The worst was that they mismeasured our portion of the fence project, trying to charge us for 62…read morefeet (our half) when our portion was only 46 feet in length. Even if they're used to meters they should have know this was off. They redid that, but had wanted us to pay before we could inspect the work! and it is because we inspected we caught this error. They expected us to pay for the 62 foot segment without having any time to inspect it. It increased our bill by over 25%. As it turns out they do NOT know that a fence in California should not have contact with the dirt (it will rot quickly) and that cement or quickcrete needs to be mounded to avoid water getting into the post hole! They did a soso job of correcting this, we're not positive that there's no contact with dirt, and the quikcrete is very poorly set, obviously just laid on top of what ever post support they put in intially. Again, they did not want to let us inspect it prior to paying but demanded, repeatedly that we pay them immediately, when we knew their work was shoddy. They had the neighbor contact me repeatedly as well, demanding we pay instantly. They contacted me, rather than my husband, who is the lead on this, with a sob story about us being the last to pay, but that if we didn't they could not pay the workers, although our share was surely less than 10% of the total, and in that case they'd tried to double charge for about 17 feet they intially over-charged, if this segment had in fact been paid for. In addition, the neighbor who organized this is messaging me, because they expect immediate responses, and pressing me to nag my husband on their behalf, implying he is not responsible. His credit rating is among the highest given, excuse me. Very offensive. Normally, unless one signs a payable on completion contract (we did not), one has 15 to 30 days to pay a bill, and completion is after the work is inspected and approved by the client. Somehow, they expect emails to be returned immediately, rather than per usual business practice. I would never hire this company. Never. Overcharges, pushy, not able to deal with normal business practices and substandard workmanship.

I wanted to give a big shoutout to Francuz. We recently had a new 20 square foot pergola built for…read moreour backyard. I wanted to deck out the new pergola with heaters, a ceiling fan, an outdoor TV, lighting and sockets for plugging in electrical shades. In order to accomplish this, there needed to be a large amount of electrical work done to increase the amount of electricity to run everything in the pergola, plus, they had to figure out how to get electricity from the panel in the garage all the way to the pergola in the backyard. Francuz not only did an amazing job with building an additional electrical panel, running conduit, installing electrical boxes, switch panels, switch sockets, and GFI sockets, they also installed the ceiling fan, heaters, lighting, TV, etc.! I was worried about the outdoor TV being too heavy to mount on the metal pergola. They attached a couple metal bars to the pergola to mount the TV which was perfect! It wasn't easy to find someone to do all the electrical AND mounting work, but these guys did everything!! They were great at letting me know when they were coming to do the work and the expected completion date. I also appreciated their pricing transparency...there were no surprises. I will definitely use Francuz for future projects.

I had Lonnie and his crew do a bathroom renovation, flooring, repaint, replace security door and he…read moredid a good job. But it took double the estimated time to finish a one bedroom unit. Lonnie tended to work very late and would miss days here and there which accounts for the delays in completing the job. Also it took 6 days just tile a bathtub surround with metal edging which he could do correctly with pictures I sent how the finish tile metal edging should look like but mistakes made the 2 day tile job to 6 days. That experience was 2/5 stars but he gave me a good deal. 3 months later I had a clogged galvanized wall mounted kitchen faucet water supply for a wall mounted faucet in a different unit of the property that clogged once and he unclogged it for $55 but it clogged again due to corrosion. When it clogged again he suggested bypassing the pipes in the wall and connecting copper pipes directly underneath the crawl space galvanized pipes to hopefully less corroded pipe. And patch the wall from the old galvanized pipes and surface mount the faucet. The faucet unfortunately was wobbly and installed without a faucet mounted plate that would have helped the stability of the faucet. He said he would come the following day to remount the faucet with the mounting plate and patch the holes up. He said to pay him first since he said I could trust that he would come back to finish the job. He supposedly came the following day but my tenant didn't open the door for him since she was sleeping and he never called to schedule a time window with my tenant. 2 days later the new faucet clogged again with low water pressure. After 3 days of my tenant waiting, he finally showed up 9 pm after begging him to check the faucet and patch up the holes in the wall. He shows up with no tools or materials to patch the hole up. He checks the faucet aerator for debris and rock and tells me you need to repipe the entire unit. He never came back to remount the faucet with the mounting plate or patch up the walls. After spending another $250 in his labor and $88 in pipes to bypass the galvanized wall pipes, it was a waste of time to follow his suggestion and he never finished the job after payment. Of course I didn't bother begging him anymore and hired a license plumber to repipe the unit and patch the walls up. Complete waste of $400 which I should have listened to a plumber to repipe the entire unit from the start. The plumber even found that Lonnie repipe was done incorrectly with a black pipe/gas pipe that would corrode in few years. Luckily my plumber fixed all his mistakes and patched the wall as well. Bad experience especially with the last job. It's unfortunate that i would not have gave him the bad review if he just did what he promised to complete. Never pay the guy if he doesn't complete the job even if you use him before. All trust goes out the door once he's paid.
