She always checked on the progress even after delivery and suggested few best options for lactation, nursing and took care of every step even before delivering my baby explaining things to deal with ,clearing my doubts all the time. Her staff is very friendly and helpful and she is available on call/text for emergency questions and any help. I had an…read moreappointment and over the next 5 months was billed and re-billed $2600 3 separate times for the same procedure. They failed to send my referral to my insurance twice. They tried to get me to sign something to say any cost my insurance refused to cover I would cover, this was hidden in a sign-in form... thank god I didn't sign that because my insurance explained that for 2 visits they coded 3 things incorrectly resulting in an extra $225 on my bill, which I would've been obligated to pay had I signed that form. Their billing dept refused to help me the 3rd time they billed me $2600 because they blamed my insurance company for the bill, claiming they were refusing to pay it when in fact they had already paid it... 4 months ago. Icing on the cake, after getting all of that sorted, they are doing it again with the bill for my follow-up appointment from that one. Absolutely unreal experience. It's really not worth the risk to go here. If your insurance company isn't willing to fight them for you, you can be stuck with insane bills that will never change because of a completely incompetent billing dept.

For a person looking for a less medicated birth, there is the option of the birth center but as I was two weeks late, I ended up giving birth in the hospital itself (and with the use of the usual drugs). Dr. Cruickshanks performed my myomectomy this summer. I know many women have severe symptoms such…read moreas painful heavy periods, weight gain and bloating. My biggest symptom was pressure on my bladder, particularly when I would run. Luckily I never had pain with my periods or heavy ones at that. I went to get this checked out because I was feeling as though I had something inside me that should not be. After ultrasounds and examinations they found that my uterus was filled with fibroids. They determined that due to the size of the fibroids and my desire to want to try to have children it would be best to have them removed. From the beginning Dr. Cruickshanks was very reassuring that it would be in my best interest to have them removed. I had my surgery on June 28 and everything went very smoothly. However, the recovery was something I did not expect. I stayed in the hospital for 2 nights which I was grateful to have the chance to stay the second night. Getting in and out of bed for the first few days was terrible. Dr. Cruickshanks came in the next day first thing in the morning. She was very attentive to all my questions and needs. When she should be pictures of the fibroids I could not believe what had been growing inside me. I was so grateful to Dr. Cruickshaks to have performed my surgery. She removed about 4 fibroids and had to leave one behind simply because it would be too complicated. Which I am grateful that she made that decision because it could have resulted in a hysterectomy or excessive bleeding. Of course my concern for the scar was always in the back of my mind, and the doctor cut right on the bikini line with such precision. I am now using Bio-Oil to even out the color of the scar but it is right on the bikini line which I am sure will fade in a few months. I highly recommend Dr. Cruickshanks without reservations.
