A senior lady at colonial friendly served me and suggested that my titanium frame could not be repaired, but offered to find me a new frame in one hour. I went to the nearby mall for a walk and when I came back the lady and a male technician had found a frame that matched perfectly with my lenses at a price of $110. They go out of their way to be helpful and their work is superior. We have had our prescriptions filled there for many years. A few years ago, my husband fell from a ladder and his glasses were mangled beyond repair (so we thought). After we left the emergency room, we took his glasses by Colonial. The employee took them in a back room and worked on them for 1/2 hour. He brought them back looking like new and didn't charge us anything. We would highly recommend Colonial to anyone. They told me I was required to sign their "Permission to Treat a Minor Child Without A Parent Present" form. This made no sense to me as I am the mother, and I was present. When I asked for a regular "Permission to Treat" form, the office manager not only told me "no," she asked, "Would you like to cancel?" in a very "I'm done with you" tone." She said she was tired of "arguing with me" about having to sign the "treat without a parent present form." Really? Why are you arguing in the first place? Just produce the correct form! I'm just a mom seeking care for my child; I don't want or need a stressful encounter with a manager with a chip on their shoulder. They actually managed to engage in other discourteous and unpleasant behavior, but you get the idea. This is hands down the rudest, most uncaring, and most problematic experience I've ever had at a doctor's office! If you don't mind being treated poorly and being required to sign non-sensical forms, I guess you'll do ok here, but it's not for me. I will never, ever set foot in here again!
