Walked in, chatted about it and was given an order for blood work (NO ONE TOLD ME WHEN THE BLOODWORK NEEDED TO BE DONE AROUND MY CYCLE.) luckily it was within the correct window of time when I got the bloodwork done - thankfully by chance. I wish I would have looked at the blood work myself because I am not in need of HRT. I went in for my appointment and had to fill out forms on a dying iPad and then when called back I did not get to see Dr. Ari, I saw another woman who was nice but there was zero reason to be in there and she told me before I left (after paying $150 for labs elsewhere) it's going to be $225. So much for nothing. Sad because I would have went there for other things but not now. I felt duped and I felt like they could have just said "you don't need the meds and we can't help" and saved all of us time but they wanted my $225. They were all friendly but honestly, if you want to get hormones checked, a lab can help without paying an additional $225 to just walk into this office that did nothing. I'm completely disappointed. At least they didn't try to upsell me on anything else even though there are treatments I would have done. Taking the time and money to sit there for nothing has really rubbed me the wrong way. I feel it was handled unfairly. *We can't help you and knew it before your appointment- but thanks for the cash.* I'm a business owner and I would NEVER. I know they probably don't care but I feel like people should be aware.

He actually takes the time to explain what's going on with your body, how your diet and training connect, and what small changes will make the biggest difference. If you've got questions, he'll break things down so it makes sense, and he always makes sure you leave with a clear plan. Everything is tailored to your specific goals, whether that's losing fat, building muscle, or just staying consistent. The data you get is super accurate and takes all the guesswork out of progress. Instead of just relying on a scale or the mirror, you can actually see what's happening with your fat mass, lean muscle, and overall body composition. That makes it way easier to stay motivated and confident in what you're doing. The results have been great, but the real value is in understanding how to keep improving long-term. If you want real data and someone who genuinely cares to help you use it the right way, Body Fat Clinic is the spot.

IF YOU ARE SCARED TO TRY THERAPY, THIS IS FOR YOU…read more It took me a decade of cycling through addiction, highly toxic and abusive circumstances and a lack of understanding of my role in it all, to get to a point where I would even consider therapy. I meticulously combed the internet for someone in Bakersfield who could potentially meet my need for adequate mental health services. I saw so many reviews from defeated, frustrated individuals who had tried places in town and felt unseen. I saw horrified reviews describe being texted an hour in advance of an appt that the therapist was cancelling. These things scared me, not knowing who I could trust to confide in and consistently show up for me. Then I saw Meagan's profile and website. She had good reviews and I appreciated the art component she could offer in therapy. I took a risk and gave it a try. Well, I am on the cusp of a year of in-person talk therapy with her and I can tell you this has been one of the best choices I've ever made. As someone who was told growing up that therapy is for crazy people, I can tell you how wrong that statement is. It's for people who will put effort towards getting healthy, which is honorable.
