Bakersfield pretty much has GNC and two other supplement shops to choose from and they have much to be desired in either customer service or prices. That being said, here's what I thought about this place. Customer Service: Since AM is only a month old, the owner was the one that assisted me. I came in looking for a pre-workout and he asked what I was looking for in a pre-workout and we went from there. He was very knowledgable and guided me to something that I'd like. Selection: AM carries Ronnie Coleman's Signature Series and Jay Cutler's Nutrition line of products, which aren't too bad. The selection of other products wasn't bad, but the owner said they had more stuff on order. Price: The prices on most items were cheaper than other supplement shops in town; so if you want your supplements right there and then, it beats ordering them online. I left a satisfied customer and it's safe to say that I'll be back.

Had THE WORST experience I've ever had with an employee named Hailey ! I've never been this…read moredisrespected in my life. I came in & wasn't even greeted and if anything as I walked in the employee instantly rolled her eyes which automatically made me feel uncomfortable. There was no music, he store was empty and quiet which made it that much more awkward. I was looking around and asked her if she could help me and she gives me the nastiest attitude and literally says, " I don't know, I don't know anything" I was confused by her response! I would assume working there she would be a little knowledgeable about the products they sell. I disregard her comment as she clearly knows nothing about customer service, sales and clearly knows nothing about respect. So I stand there and continue to look around & grab my product. She's stocking shelves so I ask her if I can checkout and she completely ignores me so I ask her if she's open and she says we're clearly fucking open and walks to the register & yanks my product off the counter to scan it & at this point I'm getting upset so I'm like "can I talk to a manager" and she's like yeah he's in the fucking back and give him my fucking name and she starts spelling it out for me literally screaming each letter out loud and sticking her finger in my face showing me how to spell it. She was literally almost trying to fight me over the counter. And as she's being so loud & obnoxious, a male walks out from the back and asks what's going on and I explain to him how she's acting and he doesn't even tell her anything as if he's protecting her and is on her side instead of the customers. He's says "I'm not sure why she's acting like that" like regardless her reasoning she should not be allowed to act like a wild animal towards customers trying to spend their hard earned money. He makes her go to the back and she's laughing her way there like she knows she won't get in trouble for acting like that and seems normal & probably not her first time acting this way. She humiliated me and embarrassed me. This is not acceptable! Here she is spelling her name out for me. Thanks for leaving such a bad impression towards GNC I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

John is not only a body builder but he is a Personal Trainer as well. I have really never worked out with weights like I am now and wanted to help my performance when I am working out especially since I am going 5 days a week. The staff at BSN was super knowledgeable in every product that is on their shelf. John gave me a few examples of what to look for and instead of having to wait for Amazon to ship I went to BSN. They asked several questions on what I was looking for and what I wanted to achieve. I went with the suggestions of both John and the staff at BSN and came home with Gym Candy Pre-workout and Tactical Amino's. I have never taken the pre-workout before and being a little sensitive to caffeine after lets say 3 I was a little worried about being able to sleep at night. The Gym Candy calls for one scoop 15 to 30 minutes before your workout, which instead of 1 scoops I just took a 1/2. Both John and the Staff suggested that and if I felt that I could take the full scoop I could diffidently try on the next workout. FYI a 1/2 was plenty and WOW huge boost in energy during the workout and I felt that I was able to do more than before!!!
