Wanting to have the least invasive procedure, I had the Eurolift as suggested by Dr. Butler. I was not clearly told of the true efficacy of lack thereof of the procedure for my individual case. $12,000 and 3 yrs later I had to have a more permanent solution. When I returned to have a consultation I was told by Dr. Butler I should have done a "TURP" 5 yrs prior! ( after he collected $12000 for Eurolift! When I asked him about getting several other professional opinions on this procedure he was both reluctant and seemed insecure. He scheduled me to have the TURP several days later. Fortunately, I was able to visit a top urologist- ( professor) At UCSD who patiently took time to explain that the TURP was not as precise as GREEN LIGHT LASER and could have side effects: ED, incontinence, and other complications. ( Dr Butler did not see the Green light laser as a valid option. He also told me he had to remove the clips from the eurolift! ( something Dr Butler never suggested) Two years later I have had 100% success with NO SIDE EFFECTS! It's like I am 35 yrs old! I have spoken to several friends having undergone the TURP - side effects included incontinence and other terrible complications. Future patients: Do your due diligence! It's your body, get 2-3 other professional opinions. The consequences of the wrong procedure and using a less informed doctor could adversely affect you for the REST of your life!!

Dr Laura Delcore does not have the bedside manner to be a doctor, imo. She suggested a procedure…read morethat resulted in a horrible outcome, then instead of trying less aggressive approaches, wanted me to go to surgery. I declined and explained that I want to explore other options. She said, "sure, they won't work though". Cool, let's try though before we cut me open and I have early menopause because of potential complications. I also explained that the outrageous price and copay for an MRI at UCSD was cost prohibitive since I'd have to pay $3,000 out of pocket. She said she trusts the radiologists at ucsd, and other radiologists may miss things that she felt ucsd wouldn't...ok, well I still don't have $3k to put towards this atm. So she says, if you're not having surgery, don't bother with an mri...like, what? I still want to know what's wrong with me, why is an mri off the table unless it's at your outrageously expensive facility? She acted as if San Diego's only qualified radiologists work at ucsd, pleeeeeassse. Get over yourself. This city is chocked full of qualified radiologists, to suggest any other imaging center is incompetent was absurd. She then said "I don't think this is working out", yeah, no crap, you just want to empty my wallet and cut me open. She offered no alternatives, I have to ask her for everything and then she says, "sure, but it won't work". Awesome bedside manner, I'd recommend going anywhere else if you don't appreciate being spoken to in a condescending tone while being denied care because your doctor is too sensitive to take any pushback on their terrible ideas. Chat gpt had better ideas than she did. If she's your doctor, run, don't walk to any other provider.

Wow! Worst experience I've ever had with a Doctor in my life. If you want a professional Doctor…read morethat wants to help you get to the root of your pain, he is not it. I got referred to this Urologist because I was having extreme pain aching lower area where my kidneys are, which would cause me to become nauseous and vomit and landed me in the emergency room. The ER at Scripts Encinitas couldn't find anything so they suggested if it happens again after the pain meds wear off, to have my Doctor send me to a Urologist to get more tests done and get answers to what's going on. My pain has still persisted constantly at a 10 and would leave me on the floor, curled in a ball, crying, if I wasn't persistent on pain medication. And with having 3 kids, two of which have autism, i need to be able to be well to take care of them and take them to their therapies during the week. I waited for this appointment with Dr. Nguyen for weeks and when I finally meet this Doctor, he walks in with an attitude and asks what's going on, as I explain, he rudely smiles and says, "well I don't know why you're here, all your tests came back normal, I don't know what that is that you're feeling" after a couple minutes of him just standing there leaning on the counter , smiling, completely not interested in what I'm telling him I ask if they sent me to the wrong doctor, he said yes cause he doesn't know what he's supposed to do about it. I asked if he could inform them that he can't help me, he then smirks and slightly laughs and says "well I don't know who I'm suppose to tell" and I the said "my Doctor?" He then says he's unsure of what he should tell my Doctor. While still smiling and leaning on counter, Dr. Nguyen said he's in Urology and he helps with kidneys, and mines not a kidney issue, maybe it's from my Ribs or bone. I'm thinking, what? I was completely blown away at his lack of professionalism. All the symptoms and pain I've been having shows to something going on internally, especially because it's in the kidney area, which is why I got sent to Dr.Nguyen for a deeper look and more tests. Never have I been made felt like such a joke by a Medical Professional. He just kept smirking and smiling at me and talking to me as if I was dumb, while still leaning causally on the counter, didn't even examine me, and I'm honestly not even positive he studied my chart very well because he was asking me questions that would be in my file for this appointment, I asked him, didn't you even read my chart before coming in? That information is in there. He stumbled for words and said yeah. His phone then rang and and he answered his phone in the middle of our appointment. The whole session he made me feel completely awful and I left holding back tears. I don't even have any answers to my pain and why it's happening, I got sent to him to get deeper answers and instead I got laughed at . No examine, no tactfulness, no trying to help me with my pain and trying to get more answers. I waited weeks for this appointment to be completely made fun of. Based on my experience, I would recommended choosing a different doctor if your insurance allows it, worst experience
