Bought a tanzanite bracelet on the Disney cruise ship. It was listed at a very high price and I ended up with a "huge" manager discount of $2300. Unfortunately the bracelet fell off my wrist 3 times but luckily was able to find it afterwards. The thing that is extremely upsetting is, I took the bracelet for an appraisal and the appraised value is $520....I then researched about tanzanite tennis bracelet online along with the company Diamond International. Please do not ignore the negative reviews as you can find lots of similar all over the internet. They are know for scamming people with overpriced or faulty items. I've tried contacting Disney to return the bracelet with no help but sent running in circles. Now I'm trying to dispute it with my credit card company which is also all kinds of circles and hoops. So be aware and AVOID them unless you're happy to pay up to 4x or more on an item. Even Nordstrom sells an EFFY tanzanite bracelet for $500. Ridiculous.

We were on a cruise to Asia and our ship stopped in Juneau prior to crossing the Bering Sea in…read morepassage to Japan and ports South. While walking around the dock area, we happened to venture into Lambros Jewelry and began a conversation with his able assistant and salesperson, Rebecca. She showed us some of his unique designs and use of precious stones from all over the world. We were then introduced to Araksi, goldsmith who was working on a piece prior to its mailing to a client and closing of the Alaska stores for the season. While Arlee was talking with Mr. Lambros, I wandered around the various display cases and was immediately blown away by a handmade ring that had tendrils wrapped around two beautiful Opals that were "full of fire." I casually asked Rebecca the price. While it was a little beyond our means, I suggested an offer which she took to Araksi. Much to my surprise, he agreed as it was the end of the season and he wished to move his remaining in-house stock. Since it was my wife's birthday within the past two weeks, I made the purchase. Arlee was ecstatic as she loves opals. They are so delicate and yet full of fire like she is. He is Greek by birth and brings that old world charm and design influences into his jewelry pieces. It was a pleasure to have met him and would certainly recommend him to you. His artistry is beyond reproach.

The piece itself is beautiful and well-crafted, with a unique design created by the owner/jeweler himself. The purchase process was smooth and without pressure. They were very accommodating and let my fiancée come in multiple times (as we are locals) to try on the ring and look at it with different center stone options. They mounted the stone quickly once the decision was made with the jeweler being there himself. Turns out the setting was the correct size, but if it needed to be resized that too could be done quickly. The setting and stone was reasonably priced, which they then discounted as the season was coming to an end and gave me an extra local discount. Prior to making the purchase, I discussed it with family friends in the jewelry business, said that it was a great deal and not to pass it up. I appreciated getting the piece at an affordable price at the outset. We will be going back to get a matching wedding band made!

I picked up a really nice rock for my collection. That was pretty cool. It is tailored to tourists. The shop is located downtown of Juneau and yes the store was very busy when we came. The staff was also very friendly as well. Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend visiting this store.

I contacted the shipper insurance, the collect the statue and shipping contents, and Mt. Juneau Trading Company is no longer taking my calls. UPS says they settled the matter with Mt. I was on a cruiseship and am also considering contacting the cruise ship company to lodge a complaint about Mt. Juneau Trading Company's business practices. I seek a refund or replacement. My calls are NO LONGER being answered. I expressed concern when I purchased the statue, about it breaking during shipping and KYLE TRIPP assured me it would arrive unbroken. I have spoken to the owner JACK TRIPP several times and have not been given a solution. Only delays. I hope they contact me and fix my problem. 780-709-4584.
