But that's balanced by the relatively small attendance in the workout area. You won't often have to wait to get on equipment or a bar. A core group of regulars gives the place a close-knit feel. Staff is friendly and relaxed. Lots of group classes are offered, if you're looking for those. Families with kids will find plenty of camp and league options. The weight area is very basic and somewhat limited. The staff could do a better job making sure people re-rack weights and leave areas clean when done. Other than that, I enjoy going here.

Living in the energy corridor I had a lot of different options but I did not want a cookie cutter gym, I wanted somewhere that I could belong, somewhere that I felt the staff would get to know me and not judge me if- and when- I did something wrong. Plus I wanted classes- I LOVE group exercise classes cause I have no idea what to do on my own. So I took my then boyfriend and we went to MAC. We really found it to be a welcoming place. It is not the cheapest around but one thing I have learned is that I would always rather have quality in the things that affect my overall well being. I have made friends at this gym, I have been through Harvey and road construction with this gym and I always felt valued as a member. I've been kept in the loop- they do a fantastic job of hosting different types of events and keeping their social media up to date. And now through what is proving to be one of the most interesting events to happen they continue to show their dedication to members by offering youtube classes and free virtual classes. Every day they are posting and making sure there is something to do and a way to get a workout in even at home. This is far more than a gym but truly also a community and a family.

I really like the large TVs they have to watch sports while working out. The restrooms have quite a few stalls and lots of lockers. This has the potential to be a great gym if they update free weights equipment. The bench press is very out dated and lots of missing weights. Barbells are very disorganized and missing. Members pay an annual maintenance fee for FC so why isn't the facility being maintained to members standards. Members are what provides your income and we are not getting what we pay for.

During my 2 months, the bicep curl machine is out of order for a month now and again no one has come to fix it. There's also a leg machine that's recently broken and I guess it will stay that way for a while. The people that work out in the morning seem to wipe the machines before/after they work out which I like the higiene, the staff do clean the machine but again whoever is responsible on fixing the machines needs a new job... it should not take over a month to fix the equipment

Formal Complaint Regarding Membership Cancellation and Improper Collection Actions…read more I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding my experience with Planet Fitness in Lake Stevens, Washington. I moved from Washington State to Texas and contacted Planet Fitness to cancel my membership because I was no longer living in the area and would not be able to use the facility. I specifically requested the cancellation of my membership, yet I continued to be charged for several months after my request. What is even more concerning is that, despite my attempts to resolve the situation, I was informed that the account could be sent to collections. I find it completely unacceptable to be threatened with negative consequences to my credit over charges that I had already requested to have stopped. I made a good-faith effort to cancel my membership and resolve the issue directly with Planet Fitness. Instead of receiving reasonable assistance, I was left dealing with continued charges and the possibility of having an account sent to collections. I understand that membership agreements have terms and conditions, but customers should not be responsible for charges resulting from an unsuccessful cancellation process when they have clearly communicated their request to cancel and made reasonable attempts to resolve the matter. This experience has been extremely frustrating and has significantly changed my opinion of Planet Fitness. A company should make the cancellation process clear, transparent, and fair, especially when a customer has relocated to another state. I hope Planet Fitness will review this situation, stop any further improper charges, correct the account, and ensure that no negative information is reported to any credit bureau as a result of this dispute. Hilary is great at recognizing where you're at in your fitness journey and modifying movements as need be to keep you comfortable and safe. She definitely pushes us, but always with a smile!
