I got gel nails done here and within two days two of my nails started to peel up and eventually came off. I went back in to have them fix it and one of the workers was not welcoming and did not seem like they wanted to help so I went to a different salon to fix them. The next day all of the other nails started to lift and come off as well. The ones I got re done have stayed and look great but the ones from Diamond have all came off. They put one coat of polish on which made them very thin and the application did not hold up. I was very disappointed as it was also very expensive. read more

It's genuinely such a good place and I've had good experiences in the past but this time I've had my appointment set at 5:45pm and I didn't leave until 8:00pm. The place was busy yes but I was served last. A girl came after me and got done before me. The guy there messed a nail up and I asked if he can fix it if he can and he just gave me so much attitude. I recently had the unfortunate experience of getting an acrylic set at Diamond Nails and although I have never left a review (on anything, ever) I feel compelled to warn potential customers. Most importantly: If I could leave negative stars, I would. I am also reporting this establishment to the Vermont OPR. I left the salon bleeding. From the moment I walked in, I made it clear that it was my first time getting acrylic nails. Despite my repeated requests for a more natural and comfortable length, the technician seemed determined to create the most unwieldy and uncomfortable set imaginable. The technician's disregard for my preferences extended to the thickness of the nails, which felt like I had bricks attached to my fingertips. I expressed my discomfort, but my concerns were blatantly ignored. Instead of a relaxing experience, I left the salon in tears, with both hands actively bleeding from the excessive filing on my nails, cuticles, and skin. As if that wasn't bad enough, my hands felt heavy and numb shortly after leaving the salon. Desperate for relief, I called Diamond back and begged them to remove the acrylics. Unfortunately, the response I received over the phone was shockingly callous. The technician essentially blamed me for not liking the result, completely disregarding the fact that it was my first experience with acrylics. He continuously insulted me saying I "shouldn't have gotten acrylic nails if I don't like how they feel". To add insult to injury, he refused to rectify the situation and insisted that I should have known what I was getting into. I did not ask for a refund, I only asked to have the nails removed so I could use my hands again. In desperation, I sought assistance from another salon in the area and had to pay for the removal of the botched acrylics. Unfortunately, even the second salon couldn't completely undo the damage due to the extent of the trauma inflicted on my nails and cuticles. Finally, I learned at this other nail salon that Diamond, and specifically the technician that destroyed my nails, are KNOWN among customers and other nail professionals to be harmful and unkind. Over two months have passed since this disastrous visit, and my nails are still in a pitiful state. They are paper-thin, visibly bruised, and my cuticles have been decimated. This traumatic experience has left me with a lasting aversion to nail salons, and I have reported Diamond Nails for safety and health violations. In conclusion, my advice to anyone considering Diamond Nails is to steer clear. The utter lack of professionalism, empathy, and competence displayed by their staff has left me genuinely scarred, both emotionally and physically. This establishment should be held accountable for the damage they've caused, and potential customers deserve to know about the risks associated with their services. read more

I had really high hopes for Diamond Nail and Spa. I went a few days before my wedding and had asked for gel nails on both hands and feet. Although I had an appointment and they were not packed I experienced a lot of delays in getting my manicure and pedicure. My pedicure was actually quite lovely except they did not have many other options for pedicures ( hot stone, paraffin, etc). My manicure however was quite rushed and I felt like the man who was doing my nails wanted me to leave quickly. He was also back and forth between myself and another patron. I asked for a simple French manicure with some sparkle overlay. The manicure at the end was nice and what I wanted but it did not last. If I got this manicure on Tuesday- by Thursday an entire gel nail had fallen off. This caused a lot of stress right before the wedding and I have never had it happen where the gel glue did not hold. I ended up finding a nail salon closer to my wedding venue that mended my nail. Fast forward to the Sunday after my wedding and another of my nails fell off. So bizarre. I've had gel nails for 20 years and it has never just randomly peeled off my nail. When I called the shop about getting in to get it fixed they said they could not accommodate me . Very nice people and overall very friendly but I don't think it is worth the cost of what they charge. I spent 95$ for nails that didn't even last two days. Unfortunately will not be going back to them but wish them all the best in their business. read more

I don't even want to give a 1 star review. Very disrespectful, the man was the worst, argumentative, and angry demeanor. Asked for chrome nails and picked red, it was actually pink and I said I didn't like it because I asked for red not pink. I waited for quite some time and the man came over and argued with me. Then Tammy came over and said she doesn't do chrome after she had already done it once but the color was not what she said it was, so I said you do though because you already started, and she said very aggressively NO MEANS NO AND IM DONE WITH YOU. Nails are not smooth nor what I asked for. During my pedicure the older woman kept cutting me, I guess they make a habit that because another customer getting gel nails was also complaining about being cut and the staff blatantly dismissing there was dried blood. The man said I was swearing at him and I asked when? And he said well, you just don't do say things (because I was complaining I didn't get what I had asked for and they clearly don't have good systems even though apparently they went to school) I said well you just do bad things and expect good results. I later clarified in my call history I called this location. We were told they were full and turned to leave and they said they could fit us in. We had two pedicures and a manicure since there was no staffing to cover both of us at the same time. Giving a lower review because I felt that Tammy is pretty pushy and I didn't love that...She rushed me to choose a color and when I did she said "finally." That put me off balance. I asked for a rose design and she said she had never done a rose design before, which I don't fault her for, but they did say they do designs over the phone and yet Tammy didn't seem to think she could paint on a rose, because she immediately went looking for rose stickers she could use instead. I'm just saying...if I wanted stickers I could do that at home, you know? She did go back and find rose foils, which I'm fairly happy with, but I would prefer an actual painted design. Other than that, she's pretty brusque with the way she handled my hands and filed my nails. I went with my cousin and her technician (Tammy's husband?) filed her nails so harshly she got little cuts, and then later when they used alcohol on her acrylics it really hurt her skin where the cuts were. Just not a very soothing or pleasant experience in a sensory way. Also Tammy pushed very hard for me to leave a review while I was still in the salon, and basically said I had to post a review before I left. I didn't want to leave a 5 star review (posted on Google reviews) but I did anyway because she was kind of intimidating lol. She was very pushy about me taking a picture of my nails in the right lighting so I could post it with the review. The results are pretty nice, although not exactly what I wanted in the first place, but the experience was a bit rough around the edges. Tammy does have a good sense of humor and I can see why there are 5 star reviews, but it seems like it kind of depends on the mood the technicians are in. My cousin does love her French tip acrylics by the way--that might be more their specialty. read more

Came in with my friend, first time in Burlington, we needed our nails done. So we both wanted a simple, clean , gel manicure. She did a good job, even though I told her she can really clean up my cuticles, and not be afraid to push some skin off and make it look clean, but she was more focused on the gel, than on the actual manicure. Overall I was ok with the result. I had a couple of fingers with gel on my skin, but whatever. I didn't expect much when I got in anyway. But the guy that did my friend's nails, cut her, and she was bleeding, and he didn't apologize, but instead he got up and left in the middle of the manicure. So the lady that was doing my nails, had to do my friend in the same time. Very unprofessional. And very rude. I'm only giving 2 stars because of respect for the lady, and for the cleanliness. The guy didn't have any respect for his customers and for his coworker either.The lady was very nice, and I kind of felt bad for her being disrespected that way. Worst nail experience I got my nails done by peter and all my nails came out lopsided and they all had varying tip shapes and sizes. My nails were filed so far down on the sides it looked like I had been biting my nails. Some nails were super thick and others were thin and my fingers were caked in acrylic as well as underneath the nails. The nails themselves were not uniform at all, I am really disappointed with my nails that I paid 65 for, He cut open 3 of my fingers and the proceeded to file on top of the cuts and put acetone on open cuts. Edit: I was messaged by Tammy to get my nails fixed (via yelp) and was very open to the idea, but after calling to set up the appointment to get my nails fixed I was confronted on the phone with Tammy saying that I had to delete my reviews before coming in, and that I was "Never allowed back" after this visit.
