Called Aspen Hill (recommended by my daughter) after two quite unbelievable experiences with other…read morecompanies. Both quoted prices that ranged from $6800 to $11,000 for a leak repair in our water service line. The $11,000 quote was just so egregiously dishonest that to this day I still find hard to believe. I won't get into all the details but to summarize: we had water leaking onto lawn and down to street; two people came to house and without any problem-solving other than walking around basement and commenting on things unrelated to our problem told us it would be $11,000 to replace our water supply line. I said that a previous company quoted us $6800 (that's another story) and they left. They called back and said that their manager said they would now reduce their quote to the $6000 range! Just like that. No analysis, no attempt to understand the problem, just arbitrary BS... charging what the traffic will bear. Long story short: WSSC came to our house and diagnosed the problem as a leak in the line that is NOT our responsibility B/C of its location and it will be repaired at no cost to us. The company is named Catons Plumbing and they should not be allowed to do business. Period. And, I wrote their manager before writing this review, to give him an opportunity to explain to me how so a thing can take place. Needless to say, I have not heard back. BUYER BEWARE!

Fortunately, Aspen Hill was able to get someone out within an hour of my call! Dave scheduled the call quickly and was very friendly. Tom came out and found the problem and was able to repair it. In late 2022 and early 2023 we hired IKB for a major renovation of our master bathroom that…read moreinvolved removing and rebuilding the floor and walls, expanding the shower stall, moving and redoing all plumbing and electric. The short of it is, they did an outstanding job, were a pleasure to work with through both the design and construction phases, and we are completely satisfied with their work. The work was completed almost to the day they'd initially estimated, and there were no cost overruns or disputes. We researched a handful of other contractors and IKB was the most reasonably priced. We first learned of them through neighbors who had used and recommended them. Here are some additional observations for those who want more details: Through the design phase, they offered a variety of options, and their CAD images provided a helpful visual sense of the these considerations. While they came with ideas, they were also very receptive to our design inputs and readily incorporated them into the final design. Their proposed fee was the most reasonable we received from the handful of other contractors from which we got bids. They were very good at problem solving to achieve desired outcomes. Everyone of their team was professional and pleasant to deal with. The quality of their work was top notch. And because it is such a visible aspect of a bathroom, I'll mention their tiling craftsman's work is outstanding. We wanted to incorporate some bold color tiles. That expert was able to make helpful suggestions for how to arrange those for very nice results, and his execution and grout work are just beautiful. Prior to this bathroom renovation, we'd used IKB to build an externally-exhausting duct for our kitchen stove and also install the exhaust fan. They did this work quickly, affordably, and the result is great. They will be our first choice for any future remodeling jobs.
