Often at times you'll have the floor to yourself (which is kept in great shape) and have exclusive use of the sound system. When the floor is busy we've often been allowed in the smaller rooms (I only dance Latin anyway) at no additional cost or detriment. The only detriment to it now I see are the Friday night socials, which only allow newbies or those registered for their classes to go. Considering a few of my friends are in them and often go to this social, I'm kind of left out. On the other hand though, I could just as easily register for a class and go... The rest of the socials are great, but they do cater to an older crowd then you would typically at a bar scene. In summary: This is a great place for top dancesport competitors and people totally new to the ballroom scene.

Our child was incredibly blessed to have incredible teachers who loved and cared for our child during that time. Each classroom was truly filled with love and patience and I do not want the rest of this review to underscore those incredible teachers in my child's classrooms. With that said, As our child approached the age of 3, they received an autism diagnosis. The JCC metro west staff was notified of this diagnosis. 2 weeks after informing the staff of our child's diagnosis, our child was exited from the ECC program with less than 24 hours' notice. Regardless of the circumstances, giving a family less than a day's notice to find alternative childcare is incredibly disruptive and, in our experience, showed a lack of compassion and partnership. As parents, we trusted this program to work with us through challenges. Instead, we were left scrambling overnight to figure out childcare, work obligations, and next steps for our child. The emotional and logistical impact on our family was significant. What disappointed us most was not simply the decision itself, but how it was handled. Families deserve clear communication, transparency, and enough notice to make arrangements--especially when young children are involved. If your child has developmental differences or may require additional support, I encourage you to have detailed conversations about the program's ability and willingness to accommodate those needs before enrolling. Our experience left us feeling unsupported during one of the most difficult periods our family has faced. I hope the JCC reviews its policies and communication practices so that no other family experiences the same abrupt transition that we did.

I used come here as a kid and though it hasn't changed much, it looks well maintained and offer a lot in the way of programming which is nice. The tour included looking at all the treadmill room, locker room, pool, gym and weight room. With the resurgence of big name gyms like Blink, Power Fitness and even local ones like Coloseum this to me makes them blush with a comparable membership price but offering so much. The sign up process was fine, though they only accept direct withdrawals from a bank account which is kinda disappointing but hence the drop in star but the staff all seemed to be very friendly and they accomodate adults, children groups of people with disabliities as well as seniors looking to play 'pickle ball'. It brought back memories coming here and I'm glad its still around, serving the area all these servoces that a lot of other places would either be higher or wouldn't offer all under the same roof.

I come to work out around 3-4 times a week at this location and here are my thoughts. Parking can be tough if you come during peak times such as after work and weekends. The staff is friendly and they maintain the facilities cleanly and diligently. There are very restricted times and days you are able to come in for laps or shooting hoops so if you think you will sign up and go there as you please, that is unfortunately not the case.. While the basketball court area is nice and the pool is warm, the gym is pretty small and very congested. The lifting area is always dominated by males and you generally have to wait to use a lot of the popular machines. Collectively with the discount my boyfriend and I spend around $70 a month in the beginning of each month. Here is some important news, if you are looking to cancel your membership be sure to give them a full 30 days notice cause they is no such thing as a "cancellation fee" which I found to be really odd.

I've been taking pole classes at Flight Risk Aerials (at their new studio in Randolph) for about 5…read moremonths now, and I absolutely love it here! I took a few aerial and lyra classes as well and I was very impressed with those classes too. Every instructor here has their own style, which makes every class unique, educational and interesting. The classes are normally relatively small (3-12 people depending on the day), so you get lots of individual attention and feedback from the instructors as well as whole-class instruction. Oftentimes we have to share poles, but this means that you make a friendship with your pole mate, which is a huge part of the experience in my opinion. The ceiling is very high, so we have very tall poles which makes moves that involve climbing, inverts, descents, etc. a lot more possible. This is a relatively small studio so naturally you will have more advanced folks coming to intro class sometimes and vice versa. Whenever there are many people in the class of different levels (i.e. some beginners, some intermediates, etc) the instructors always do their best to accommodate everyone no matter their skill level. I look forward to the studio offering more advanced classes soon. I've made many great friends coming here, as it is an incredibly thriving, inclusive community. It's always a very supportive, body-positive environment in my experience. I will certainly continue to take classes here as long as I live in NJ. I'll never go to a run-of-the-mill gym again. If you get the monthly membership, you get your money's worth after just 7-8 classes, which if you go more than twice a week is definitely worth it. A girlfriend planned a bachelorette brunch that started off with aerial silks as an alternative to the traditional binge drinking night of bad decisions-I would have went either way but this was a refreshing idea. The owner set up a paypal payment method so that whoever wanted to sign up could and it took the pressure off of dealing with all of it the day of. We had about 20 people show up for this event--it was a really nice group of girls and the owner (i guess, and her assistant) were both very nice and accommodating. So I can't elaborate so much on the experience because I'm stupid and hurt my back a week ago, didn't even think of it because it started feeling better but when I attempted to get on the silks it was just a no-go for me. I should have asked for a credit for another class as I sat out the entire time but it is what it is no biggie. So the silks hang from the ceiling, they are secure and you won't fall out (if you follow directions). They take you through a variety of poses and movements and help you into position if you need. Be prepared there is a significant amount of pressure put on the body wherever you are hanging from, so when you start out on the lower back that's the pressure, if you get into other poses with the silk wrapped around your hips or legs, that's where the pressure is. You might get some silk burn or some slight bruises but it's not like someone's punching you it's just a pressure thing. I definitely want to go back and try belly dancing, they also have pole dance, and chair dance. If you're looking for something different give this place a go!
