A very good place to get haircuts, the haircuts always look very nice, it is very convenient because it's close to home, it is affordable, other barbershops charge more around the area and their haircuts are not that great in my opinion. But this place is very, very good. Both the lady and the man who cut the hair, they are both very good. read more

Diamond Cut - After 2'nd day after swimming all day - Hair Salons Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Our 12 year old godson keeps asking us to take him to random barbershops, but many don't know how to deal with thick, course Asian hair. Brought to Diamond Cut today for a fade and it's the best cut he's had. Really nice owners, no frills but low-key environment, affordable, and quick. It looks great. We'll be back! read more

My ex tried to cut my son's hair when the pandemic locked everything down. To keep things diplomatic, let's just say it didn't go very well Once things opened up again, I found Diamond Cuts was nearby. They appear to be an actual mom and pop shop, and they do an excellent job for a very reasonable price. My son is right now just 8, and doesn't need anything fancy. read more

Diamond Cut - My son's hair cut - Hair Salons Near Me - Los Angeles, California

It doesn't have the ambiance of a fancyshwancy salon but my hair came out GREAT! Affordable, sat without a reservations and Lincoln hts local. I'll be back! Thanks. read more

Reliable local barbershop. Affordable and always do a great job. Very nice staff. Usually they can get you right in with no wait or a short one. read more

Located at the corner of Pasadena Ave and Avenue 25 in Lincoln Heights LA. My family has been coming to this place since they opened in 1988. 4 generations have gotten haircuts, perms, dyes, and all by the same couple who own this place. It's a no-frills place that gets the job done at a good low price. If you want a fancy, modern, and posh salon, pay double or triple the price and go elsewhere. I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid. Just a local mom and pop barber shop. I'm surprised it's been there that long. It just goes to show that they're doing something right. Richard and Linda (husband and wife-owners) are really friendly and have a lot of experience in haircut styling. They're patient when it comes to customers explaining what kind of hair they have in mind. They will also confirm with you while you're sitting in the chair in the middle of your session (the length of your hair, or how much you want cut/trimmed, shaved, etc.) to verify your desired length. I would recommend this place to anyone to who wants to try some place new. They take walk inside too. read more

Walked in and was seated within 5 minutes. Very professional barber, cut my toddlers hair with no issues. Will definitely be back!

Good people. Good haircuts. Just don't expect anything too fancy. But most likely you'll end up walking out of the place looking alot better. read more

Just moved to the area and saw that this shop has been a long-time establishment in the neighborhood! Situated in a small plaza, this spot is not hard to miss and has built a friendly reputation for itself. The stylists are very respectful, and you can tell they enjoy their work. The price for a male's haircut is $9! Relatively cheap! Will be back again. read more

Richard and his wife are so sweet but more importantly, are PERFECTIONISTS. Richard always does a clean, bang up job. Support this place. You will not regret it. Been coming here for years. THEY ARE CONSISTENTLY CONSISTENT. LOL need them to open back up ASAP. Simply the best. Period. read more

I've been searching for a different barber to get away from the insane prices most places are charging for a haircut (my last spot was $50! in dtla). Little did I know the place I was looking for was 2 blocks from my house. Amazing prices, amazing service and skill, plus next door is a donut/sandwich shop that is delicious too. What's not to love about Diamond Cut? read more

Been going here for the past 7 years. Men's cut is 8 bucks and I usually pay 2 dollars for tip. I really hope they upgrade the interior as sitting on those wooden benches while waiting in line will make your butt numb. My recommendation is to avoid going there between 11 am to 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays to avoid a long wait. They are open until 6pm. Go late :-) read more

Been going here for 20 years. The nicest and most honest people you will meet. Not the fanciest hair cuts, but more than good enough for me.

This is my husband's review: Great haircut at a great price - friendly conversation too! He was meticulous and really took the time to ensure an even cut. No appointment, but was seated right away. read more

Just went this morning and this place is definitely OPEN. Richard gave me another fade and it was awesome! Yelp update this!

This place is fan reason prices and friendly nev long wait. Not a real fancy place but for a hair cut it does the job highly recommended

I am not sure about all this 5 star reviews. If you want and old fashion hair cut then you will probably be ok coming to this place. I asked for an specific hair cut where a blade is needed, and i was told "It was not needed, the trimmer is the same as blade" For $8 i have gotten a lot better haircuts than this place. I am not never coming back here. I do not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Rigorous attention to the style and to the details you give. Meticulous care for the trim. Richard is awesome, I found my new hair salon!

Background: Local hair cut parlor/beauty salon/barber shop. This place basically provides hair cut services. It's operated by an old Asian couple, and unlike other beauty salons that I've been to, they are actually licensed to barber by the state. Atmosphere: This place is located in a small plaza on Pasadena Ave, right next to a donut shop. Parking is kind of difficult, since the small lot usually has about 1-2 spots available and the adjacent streets are usually packed full of cars and are very tight to drive through. You can usually find a spot in the plaza lot though. When you enter, there will be a small waiting area to your left and the barber seats on your right, behind the counter, where they cut people's hairs and whatnot. Along the walls of the shop are glamour shots of old school hairstyles (white men and women sporting wavy looking 80s style hair). Think old Paul Mitchell styles. The place does seem like it'll need a bit of sprucing up, but everything feels in place for some reason. Monetary value: I've been getting my hair cuts here for the past several months and I've been more than satisfied. A simple men's cut costs about $9, which is a bit more than the $6-7 cuts in Monterey Park, but I don't mind. I think it's a pretty fair price, considering I come here every 2 months rather than the average 6 weeks for a typical man. I've been to cheaper and more expensive places that didn't provide as much service or satisfaction. Fun: Don't know why I included this category for this type of business, but I am quite satisfied when I walk out of this shop. My hair feels better and 'free' once it's shorter. Service: The guy who does all the men's cuts is pretty attentive and performs meticulously. I'm surprised he sort of remember me and my brother after having out last cut there several months before. He's pretty nice and usually engages in small talk when you see him. He'll ask how you want you hair to be cut, and if you wanted the same style as last time. Waiting time is around 15-20 minutes, give or take, per person in line on a typical day, but it goes by pretty fast since there usually isn't a long line. Maybe 1-2 customers in the shop at any given time of the day. OVERALL: This is my preferred to go to barber whenever I need to get a haircut. Great service at decent prices. I would highly recommend if you're in the area and can't be bothered to go to Monterey Park. read more

Been coming here for about five years and there is a reason why this is my go to place for a haircut. It is owned by a married couple and they are very nice people. The only thing about this business is that they closed on Tuesday. The price for a regular haircut is $8. read more

The best barber in Lincoln Heights He really knows whats good for u Ive been going here for 12 years already Richard n Christie are the best prople slso very nice couple I will recommend them to all my family n friends very very reasonable also read more

This place is gross. Took my son to get a haircut here and never again. The haircut was fine but the shop is seriously in need of some deep cleaning or any cleaning for that matter. There's clutter and hair everywhere . Makes me wonder if they even clean their instruments. I was worried we were walking out of there with ringworm. This place is just yuck. read more

I've been coming here for the past 7 years and the price has always stayed the same with great quality. The place is ran by a husband and wife where they have great service. The quality of the haircut is always near perfect and he is my go to guy when in Los Angeles. read more

I've been coming to this place since it opened. They do everything from haircut to coloring and perms. So the owners have basically seen me grow up through the years. The shop is actually located in a small plaza across the street from Smart & Finals & Yoshinoya. I usually get a shampoo with my cut so it comes out to $12. Don't like to have hair all over my neck and head after a hair cut. The plaza has about 6 parking spots for 4-5 businesses. So you can imagine how challenging it could get. There is street parking if you are lucky. Most of the cars parked on the streets are the residents of the neighborhood. Richard does a pretty consistent job with my hair about 95% of the time. All I can say is that they are very nice an accommodating. I usually only have time to go here after work on my way home. But I usually get off of work at 5:30 and they close at 6. So if you give them a call and say that you are coming, they will wait for you. It's true that Richard always talks about the Lakers. I'm so glad that they have cable on that big 42" screen that they got from Costco on black Friday. For the longest time, they only used an antenna, so the only time you can catch a Lakers game is when they are playing away. The one thing that I have a problem with about the shop is that since it's located in a low income area, you would get some homeless or drunk people hanging out by the donut shop. Although they don't bother you or anything, it's still unsettling. read more

Best haircut at the price. Actually better than haircuts at a higher price. It's very quiet inside which is kind of nice too.

It was a small place, there were not many yelp reviews for it and was the only place open on sunday afternoon so i went with pretty low expectations. But surprisingly the asian lady had pretty good skills and gave me a decent haircut. On top of that only $9 for mens haircut. I'd say give it a try guys. read more

I am pretty tall so I get most of my haircuts from ceiling fans. But upon meeting Richard and Christie I found a place I plan on being a regular at for a long time. Not only are they personable, they remember where we left off our conversation every time. The best haircut for the price that i've found in Los Angeles. read more

The couple that works here do a pretty good job with haircuts. I just have to specific about what I want exactly. The prices are pretty cheap. I love how they do my bangs. They're usually more business on the weekends and they close Tuesdays. I usually see a lot of little old ladies getting their perm on. Overall, I like this place. read more

I've been getting my hair done from this place since I was a teeny bopper. They are always updated w/ the styles and they know how to cut.

My husband and I went here on a Saturday and had a good experience. We both got our hair cut for $30 (and that includes a tip of over 20%). The couple who run the establishment are charming and we like that it is a family-run business. read more

I saw decent reviews on Yelp and came here but I guess this place is better for men's haircuts. They didn't have any professional scissors for hair cutting, they literally used craft scissors to cut my hair. I told my stylist repeatedly during the hair cut that I wasn't happy to give him an opportunity to turn the situation around but he just nodded smiled and went right on cutting my hair the same way! read more

My son's first time haircut in hair salon, finally! But unfortunately even though I've showed a picture that I want for my son( his favorite hairstyle), yet he Couldn't do it...and this place looks like never had clean up forever, not recommend read more

Been a faithful customer for years. Owner and his wife are very nice people and service is good.

You simply can't beat a haircut for 8 dollars, but also can't beat the fact that this very polite married couple really does put in work and effort to really make sure you're happy with you're cut. Tried this place on the way to the airport one day and I honestly now get the same quality cut here that I was getting at any of my old $50 for 10 minute cut hipster salons. Highly recommended for saving money for a good quick cut : ) read more
