Nothing but problems with Diamond cabinets and the shipping company it used. I purchased the kitchen cabinets through Lowes.

My wife and I just bought a new home and wanted to put glass in some of our upper cabinet doors to…read morecreate a china-cabinet look and feel. Thinking this would be a relatively simple job, we took the doors off and began calling around and dropping into different cabinet makers and woodshops in the Mountain View/Sunnyvale/Palo Alto area. Time after time, we were turned away by folks who said they couldn't cut the center panels out of our shaker-style doors because there are metal pins that hold the doors together which would damage their equipment. We found one cabinet maker down the road on San Antonio Rd. who said he could do it, but after dropping our doors off having been told it would take a couple days, we called several times over the next two weeks and he still hadn't done the job. Very frustrated, we picked up our doors (which had been scratched up from sitting in his shop for two weeks), thinking we'd either have to shell out some major $$$ to get completely custom doors made from scratch, or we'd have to just go back to the original style without glass. Then we stumbled into Johnny and San Antonio Cabinets. We'd been turned away by another cabinet maker literally a couple doors down from him, and we saw the San Antonio Cabinets sign next door. I brought the doors in on a Monday afternoon, Johnny looked at them for a minute, and said he could do the job, no problem. He said it might take him a couple days. I received a call from Johnny first thing the NEXT morning saying he'd completed the work and that we could pick the doors up. He said given that they're fully-finished doors he didn't want them to get damaged/scratched further sitting in his shop, which I really appreciated. I picked them up that Tuesday afternoon, and they looked great. Johnny charged us a very reasonable price. When I asked him if there had indeed been pins in the doors--the reason why everyone else had turned us away--he said there were, but that he'd done these types of cuts many times in the past with no problem, he just charged us a bit extra to sharpen his blade/bit again. Wasn't a big deal at all. Johnny really saved the day for us, and thanks to him, we'll have the glass cabinet doors we've wanted for a fraction of what it would have cost us to get custom made doors. Our job wasn't too small or insignificant for him, and we really appreciated it. He also pointed us to a great glass shop nearby that we used to put the actual glass itself in the doors. All in all, we'd highly recommend Johnny and San Antonio Cabinets for all your custom cabinetry needs.

In fact, I told Johnny, the owner, I would invent jobs for them just to have more of their work in our home. The first job was a floor to ceiling pantry unit. Johnny design was superb to make the maximum use of space and by the time they were done my wife thought it was the nicest room in our home. One of the doors was slightly warped, and they replaced it to fit perfectly. The drawers glide flawlessly. The quality of their materials and craftsmanship is first rate working with meticulous care from every detail of construction through the installation process. I felt all of their team took great pride in their work and were meticulous in their care in the installation. They were able to match the finish of our cabinets in the kitchen perfectly. They also repaired a broken sliding unit from our kitchen. The second job was a floor to ceiling utility room cabinet and crown molding for the utility room, which yielded similar results. Finally they built two bathroom cabinets and custom mirrors for our bathroom remodels. When our contractor fell through, they held the cabinets at no charge for almost a year and ended up recommending another contractor who worked next door to them, which turned out to be well worth the wait. We have been in our home for almost 40 years and have experienced the full range of contractors from the agony to the ecstasy, but Doug Schultz, owner of DJS construction, also ranks also at the top of my list.

Paul is friendly and knowledgeable, and Kennedy is always responsive, answering all my questions promptly. Andrew and Miguel were the installers, and they were friendly and polite, which made the process even easier than I expected. They were also very respectful of the space and extremely careful when moving things around the house. Their installation work was flawless. The transformation turned out exactly how I hoped. They truly brought my vision to life. I chose a greenish-gray color that complements the rest of my home, and I was going for a super modern look--they delivered exactly what I imagined. This company clearly cares about his customers, and at no point did I feel pressured. Refacing made so much sense! They can reface all the cabinets throughout the house, not just in the kitchen. That's what I did, so make sure to ask about their full home services. I only had to empty the cabinets for less than a week, and now I get to enjoy the bathrooms, laundry room and a kitchen that feel completely new. Thank you!

I didn't have much of an idea of what I wanted, this being my first renovation, but Paul and Kennedy took the time to help me figure it out. The showroom is great, as you can see things in the flesh to help make decisions. Paul is so detail oriented which is exactly what you want for this process. Paul spent time and effort to coordinate with my contractor to make sure everything went as planned. The end product was high quality and when something wasn't quite level, Paul didn't hesitate to have someone come back to fix it. I'm so happy with all the work KRD completed and it was such a pleasure working with them!

This is the second time I asked for Patty's help to design our kitchen remodel. We like the kitchen…read morePatty designed for us in our previous house: beautiful, functional and simplistic. When we moved to our current home, we encountered several challenges with the original kitchen cabinets and drawers, upon which we further appreciated the seemingly small details that Patty put in that makes your everyday life so much easier: deep enough drawers, convenient back row access, and functional ways of managing blind corners. When we finally decided to remodel our current kitchen, without a doubt, I reached out to Patty for help. She spent enormous time going through the details of what we wanted for the kitchen, brainstorming with me, and then proposed several options for us to consider. She proactively came to our construction site multiple times to ensure the measurements are accurate, and she spent quality time with our construction crew to ensure the installation is perfect. As the project moved along, we had several new ideas and alterations in mind that was beyond our original plan, and every time this happened, Patty always patiently adjusted the design for us. It is really apparent that as much as we did, Patty wanted the kitchen to be as perfect as we have dreamed of, as if it were her own. And it did. We couldn't be more happier with the outcome. Our family have been utterly enjoying all the family cooking and gathering in our new kitchen. We owe this a lot to Patty's superb design skills, practical considerations, and ultimately the strong ownership and professionalism. Thank you again Patty and Signature Kitchen Design!

From the very beginning, Patty listened thoughtfully to our vision, needs, and family's rhythm. I leaned on her expertise and trusted her recommendations completely. I'm glad I did. She took my aesthetics and ideas and skillfully incorporated them into a design that felt deeply "us," while elevating everything in ways I couldn't have achieved on my own. We now have more space, a peninsula where our whole family can eat, all without knocking down walls. This wasn't just a kitchen remodel for us; it was a kitchen that evolved with our family, and one we will enjoy for years to come as we move into the late elementary and junior high seasons of raising our kids. Patty and Kurt put their heart in the heart of the home! Patty said that "it takes a village," and that is exactly what this process felt like: a true village effort, thoughtfully coordinated to bring everything together beautifully. Their attention to detail was outstanding from precise measurements to careful planning, thoughtful execution, and consistent, attentive follow-up with us throughout the project. We always felt cared for, never rushed, and deeply supported in our decisions. Patty and Kurt treated us like partners in the process, not just clients, and their communication was clear, warm, and reassuring from start to finish. Our finished kitchen has exceeded our expectations in both beauty and function, and it brings us joy every single day. Friends, family, and neighbors continue to compliment the transformation and the quality of the design. If we ever need renovation advice in the future, Signature Kitchen & Bath will be our first call. We recommend Patty and Kurt without hesitation to anyone looking for experts in cabinet and kitchen design, genuinely care about their clients, and bring caliber and reliability to a renovation.
