I recommend coming to diamond braces. Appointments are simple. The staff was super nice! My teeth came out perfect.

I've been coming to this facility for about 2 years for my son. There's good things about it, mainly the cleanliness and it isn't too far from a Pio Pio. Also, the wait isn't too long, depending on the time you come in. Last night though 10/6/16, has changed my prospective. I was running late for my appointment, appointmet was at 6pm. I called, the receptionist didn't identify herself, but told me it was ok to still come. We arrived a few minutes after 7pm to be told that we would not be seen, and the doctor had left already. Now this upset me because, when I called the receptionist never said I had a deadline to arrive. I decided then that I was no longer going to go out my way to come to this facility. I asked for my son's records, to be told that they were only going to give me pictures and not the notes. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and the receptionist calls her, speaks in Russian, a language I do not understand. The supervisor comes out, as I'm trying to explain to her my dissatisfaction, she speaks over me repeatedly. I had to tell her several times that she was talking over me. Finally she stopped, and I explained what the receptionist who took my call did, she did not acknowledge my complaint nor did she seem particularly interested in what happened. I realized fast that talking to her was not going to go anywhere. I asked for her name and the name of the person who runs the facility, she wrote on a yellow post it, 'Alina and Angelina' with the number to the facility. I had to ask who was who Alina is in charge of facility and Aleksandr is who I was speaking to; as this is happening I observed the receptionist speaking to her coworker in Russian. I don't know what they were saying in Russian, it may be nothing at all to do with me, but I found it very disrespectful to speak in another language in front of someone who can't understand. They chose not to service my son today. They chose not to acknowledge that the receptionist who answered the phone was wrong. They choose to be disrespectful by speaking another language in front of me. They chose to not have appropriate customer service or professionalism. I'm going to file a complaint with my union against the service I received. I don't recommend this facility. Due to the lack of respect they give to people. Fyi: The doctor's also don't come out and speak to parents, you have to request to speak to doctor. read more

I waited an hour for consultation. Finally, I was called. doctor came ask me how old i am. Talked to the front desk. Come back, open my mouth wide, it hurts. Told me i need xray and pictures. A girl who does not speak english took me to a room. Took mug shots of me, took 2 xray. Then told me to leave. No body talk to me about anything. How is this professional. Plus staff keep talking Russian in front of clients. They can talk to each other but cant talk to me as i came for a consult? read more

I would NOT recommend anyone to obtain treatment at Diamond Braces. To start, the staff is rude and unprofessional, technicians do not consistently explain the treatment process or the after care process and billing is a PURE scam!!!! There is one lady who consistently changes the price based on what SHE believes you should pay. There are no standards in place for fees, only what SHE chooses to charge you. When asked to explain the rationale, SHE is unable to do so and she becomes belligerent and threatens to stop treatment because payments are being questioned. I learned that my insurance was charged for treatment that my daughter did not receive and I was also charged additional fees. I informed my insurance company of this and have requested that an audit be conducted on my daughter's chart because this place fraudulently charged my insurance and also overcharged me additional fees. I also plan to file a complaint with the BBB as well as the NYS Education Department to review my daughter's chart with regards treatment and fees. In closing, Diamond Braces is a scam! There are many other reputable orthodontists in Brooklyn where you can receive quality care and appropriate treatment. DO NOT patronize this place! read more

I spend out off pocket money $5000.00 to take care my son Braces. After over year going through the treatments they told him to wear retainer for 8 hours a day . He slept with it and wake up next day with messed up retainer. Called and made appointment to see what can they do with one month old retainer. Well their Doctor and staffs at 17 Summit Ave Hackensack NJ 07601 Told us we have spend $250.00 to order new one. What a waste off my hard working money. I Just left their Norwalk Location and I will not be going back. First of all I walk in and there is no now at the desk to check us in, I had to wait fifteen min before I even received my paper work. Then another twenty before she sat down to enter the information. My appointment was for three consultations. I waited until 6:30 I requested why insurance cards as she was about to call me in at I told her we were leaving and going somewhere else. I also found out from a patient that was sitting there that they are only in that office once week and that her child should have been out of braces in the fall. I think this place is a Joke and I hope no-one else has to go through the frustration I went through. I would never send any of my friends to this location. read more

Frustrating!!!!!!! My issue with Diamond Braces begins and ends with their billing dept. My son had temporary braces after a baseball accident. I paid cash, no problem. My husband and I decided to get invasalign and we both have insurance that would cover part of the cost. We submitted all of the necessary paperwork at least seven times. It has been 14 months and no one from Diamond Braces has yet filed with either insurance company. We arranged payment through Orthbanc and I believe because this assures Diamond of their payment, they have no interest in filing our insurance claim. The dentists and hygentists have all great but this billing issue has been beyond frustrating. 14 months and nothing???? Meanwhile, I am making $300 monthly payments. read more

So I had my braces removed today and I must tell you, it was the best experience I ever had at the dentist office. The doctors are super nice and professional. The staff is amazing! Very friendly and knowledgable. Whenever I was running late or had an emergency, I was conveniently accommodated according to my schedule. 2 of my nieces are getting their smiles fixed at Diamond Braces and I'm sure I will refer more of my friends and family there. If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I have to agree with the other reviewer. This place is a rip-off!!! You get seen by different doctors depending on which day you book your appointment. That's one thing I didn't like. I made sure I was seen by the same Doctor each time. I really liked my Doctor, who was Dr. Abraham. He did a really great job and before my braces were removed he told me I had about three months to go. Fast forward, I go in the next month and they tell me Dr. Abraham is no longer there. Best believe I was upset and to top it off the new Dr. said my braces were ready to come off, but the month before Dr. Abraham said I had about three more months to go. I asked the Dr. Is he sure that they need to come off now, he says yes they can't get any straighter. How rude... anyway 5 months after getting them removed, I had permanent retainers in and the one to wear at night and my tooth still shifted!!! My braces were removed too early. Now I'm telling them about their mistake and they're telling me I have to do a re-treatment costing me over a grand. This new doctor that they have now I don't even think he's qualified. The staff also likes to talk about you in their language which is very unprofessional. If you can find a better place to get quality care and your money worth do not go to this location! read more

OMG! This place is a disaster. I dont even know where to begin, but Ill give it a shot. First of all they are extremely rude, upon confirming my appointment I came in several times and had to wait over an hour. While they had other people that came after me see the doctor before me, their excuse was that they are new clients. WTF, yea thats what I said. Doctor Drud had cancelled my appointment 3 times in a row, and I never saw him again after my first appointment. When I saw another doctor there, I told him that my Invisalign was irritating my gums, he then took a scissors like the one you buy in a 99 cents store and cut away a piece. Please be advised this is a $4000 treatment. Luckily I was able to dispute the charges with AMEX and I got my money back. As soon as they received the dispute they started calling me at least 6-8 times a day consistently for a week, I finally answered them and tried to explain to them how unprofessional they are, but they dont care about anything. Anyway I would not recommend anyone go to these people as they are extremely unprofessional and very rude. read more

Terrible customer service. Took my daughter for a consolation back in December. Waited an hour in the waiting room. I called them on January they said they were waiting to hear back from insurance. Called them again yesterday and they said they were still waiting. I called my insurance and NOTHING was sent to them. Strangest doctor/dentist experience of my life. I made an appointment to inquire about invisalign. Once called in for my appointment, I was escorted back to where the "doctor" was. The receptionist introduced me, the doctor stood up, without saying a word to me, put gloves on and stuck his fingers in my mouth. I was so shocked I did not even have time to say WTF are you doing. In about 5 second, he said, "Yes, invisalign". Turned around and sat back down without another word. I was so caught off guard! He did not even have me sit down, I was literally standing in the room still holding my purse. The lady then escorted me to brief me on the costs. I told her how uncomfortable that made me feel and she said she totally understood. I asked her the difference between invisalign and bright smile and she stated that with bright smile you never go to an office and see a "doctor". I asked when I would see the "doctor" again if I went the invisalign route and she stumbled and stated, I may not have to. I will obviously never be back to this office. read more

Diamond Braces is a Braces Factory, it operates in 26+ NJ & NY locations, Eventhough the staff is very friendly, the Hackesack office is very disorganized, even with an appointment, be prapared to wait for 1-2 hrs. As to the number one rating for Dimond Braces its due to the volume they churn out over all their locations, it's not based on the quality of service. I had Invisulign for 2 years and it made my teeth worse. Dr Drut, the owner, strung me along with comments on how he was going to fix my teeth issues, untill I was finished paying the $5,000. Once he had my money, all of a sudden his attention changed and he declared that he did not think the teeth will improve [there was basically no improvemnt to the teeth from what they looked liked when i started]. He is all about the money. I would look for an orthdontist who cares about his/her patients and not the $$$$$.. read more

Nice and professional office. Easy to schedule an appointment. Done braces for two kids here. Front desk and billing girls are very nice. No hidden charges, no tricks or BS like " Let's do a X-ray for $600 for a consultation...." They accept a variety of dental insurances and take care of the bills. I am so disappointed with this practice. I had an initial consultation with Dr. Drut who assured me my very minor issue would not take more than 7 months to correct. He kept my braces on for exactly 2 years...the length of the insurance payment and as a result I had to pay an additional co-pay fee. I paid for clear brackets; with the co-pay I paid $1500.00...in addition to the monthly charge covered by my insurance. Now be mindful this price (the additional for the clear brackets) was higher than anywhere else though he claimed he gave me a deal. When I am having my braces put on, he puts 6 clear brackets on my upper teeth and uses metal for the remainder of my treatment. I felt deceived and ripped-off. Despite assurances he would attend to my treatment, after the 4th visit it seemed every doctor attending to me was new. I had to insist on seeing him. An additional peeve is at no time are you as the patient informed about what is going on regarding your treatment. He (Dr. Drut) decided my teeth weren't moving so he chiseled the sides of the 2 upper fronts on the left side but left the right sides in their original shape totally changing the aesthetics of my smile. When I brought it to his attention, he shaved the surface of the right side. He had absolutely NO idea of what he had done. It seems as though at this facility these doctors wing it. Then to correct that, instead of chiseling the right side to balance the alignment, he adjusts the brackets and wires and now I have 1 front tooth that stands out from as opposed to next to the other which has caused a shift on the left side resulting in a very uncomfortable sensation. It feels as though the gum is being pinched by the teeth which began moving AGAIN. So, on the follow up I bring this to his attention and he suggests with a wry smile...BRACES!!! Very dishonest and unethical practices. Don't even get me started on the technicians working at the back. Some are very pleasant but there are a couple whose credentials and expertise are very questionable. One forgot to cut the wire when he did an adjustment and as I drove home it ripped the side of my tongue. I drove back with my mouth full of blood for him to correct HIS error which became my problem and guess this...he insisted on repairing the problem with his bare hands...that's right...SANS GLOVES...NO GLOVES!!! I believe in the early stages of business this place was about the patient because I have seen their early work which is why I went to Dr. Drut, but now, he is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY and patient care seems to be the least of his concern. So, finally, I request my records (which by the way I paid for at the start of my appointment) but guess what again...to obtain my records, I have to PAY for my records...so I would pay them TWICE...once to take the records and again to release the records. While I am loathe to describe Diamond Braces as a disaster, it would be better for anyone considering braces and looking for personalized, ethical, responsible treatment to research as thoroughly as possible (and I did my research...or so I thought) and look elsewhere...anywhere other than Diamond Braces and Dr. Oleg Drut. read more

Do not recommend this place to anybody. Took off my braces 5 years ago and my teeth shifted the same way they were before I put on braces. Now I have an underbite for some reason and my teeth are shifted in such a bad way that it does not seem that I ever had braces. Even though I wore my retainer every night just like I was told, there was no point in them. For the past 5 years, I had my retainers changed 4 times. The last retainer that I changed recently was the worst experience I ever had. At first they did it wrong which caused a lot of bleeding because of how tight it was. I waited about 2 weeks thinking that it would get better but it would hurt so much that I had trouble sleeping of how much pain I had. I went back to the office and asked to do something but they said it was fine and said if I still have trouble come back in a week. I came back the next week and the doctor took my retainer and cut it up a little causing it to make loose which caused my teeth to shift even more. For the past 3 months since I had this retainer, it's like there is no point to it because they are shifting even if I have it on or not. It is very upsetting that I had my braces for 2 years and overall it's like there was no point to it. The staff are very rude and talk in a tone like they don't care. read more

i can't believe i ever chose to come here for my braces. i am very disappointed with the way my teeth turned out. i think i was better off without braces. first of all, they never tell you what they plan to do with your teeth, and every appointment is like a mystery. each time you go it's a new person helping you. they have very poor relationships with customers, and social skills are not evident. dirty waiting area-they need to mop up the graying tiles on the floor. receptionists are not all that nice, either. they are also really cheap with the toothbrushes. other orthodontist offices give out the nice oral b brushes, but they give some crappy one time use brushes. before i came here, i heard good things and lots of people knew about it. i am shocked by the low quality work. also, don't come here unless your insurance helps you pay. i couldn't think of a reasonable explanation for why anyone would want to give their money to these people. read more
