Title: Disappointed After Years of Loyalty I've been a routine patient at Dental Art in Hackensack for years, along with my entire family. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with the front desk receptionist/manager, Dayana, who handles all scheduling calls and messages. I am the one who always schedules appointments for my family. Any changes should go through me. However, Dayana contacted my husband directly and changed his appointment without informing me. He doesn't drive, and that day was already hectic for me -- driving back and forth, managing a busy work schedule, and now trying to rearrange everything last minute. To make matters worse, I had an appointment on Monday, July 28 at 5:00 PM. I arrived early at 4:45 PM, only to be told my appointment didn't exist -- or had been moved to a different office, without any proper notice. They sent a text, but I was working and couldn't read it, and no one followed up with a phone call. They said they couldn't accommodate me. It felt like they changed the schedule just to fill a canceled spot, without considering the disruption caused to me and my family. I've always respected their time -- I wish they had shown the same respect to mine. I hope the office reconsiders how appointments and communications are handled, especially for long-time patients. read more

I'd highly recommend the Dental Arts of Hackensack. The staff is friendly, very informative of procedures, and communicates well with their patients. I've had simple and complex procedures done here, and every one of my silly questions about what they were about to do, or would it hurt, they took the time to thoroughly answer. As a millennial, i don't want to talk on the phone with anyone, so they text to confirm appointments and send appointment reminders, which i also appreciate. read more

Very dishonest people. Overcharge for services. 1 month after you will receive a bill informing you that your insurance did not pay there portion or there is a drastic increase in there charges. Just be aware of there charges before having anything done. Get there charges in writing. This place is the reason why the healthcare system in America is so bad. read more

Dr. Molina placed an implant yesterday. The procedure was quick and painless. Dr. Molina and her assistant explained everything they were doing throughout the procedure. I had no discomfort following the procedure. Additionally, the office is modern and extremely well kept, the personnel are all very friendly and make you feel at ease. read more

Good Technology - Poor Practice Even after 2 years I am still sorry I had step in that office to trust them with my dental care. They are more concern with billing than with the needs of the patience in dental care and cost out pocket. Very deceiving with their friendliness, omitting important information about benefits coverage specially won't tell you when they are out of network. They rush you into procedures that are not urgent and in some cases unnecessary. They certainly master the art of deceiving, no dental. It is all about the appearance no matter what is compromise. I've been going to this dentist for about a year now. It seems as everyone's nice and that they are willing to help when you don't have dental insurance. They gave me a plan and I just couldn't believe the cost for what I had done ... I had just moved to this area from upstate NY and I just couldn't believe the prices but I stuck with it thinking they were going to do the right thing .. After all the fillings and bonding that I was not really happy with I also got partials to try and get a nice smile... After putting them in they kept saying look how beautiful you look.... Since then I have gone back 3 times because all the bonding keep coming out and all I can do is cry literally, They keep telling me I need veneers or crowns because the bonding won't stay. Now again I must go back to have it fixed again ... It's just ridiculous. I have never gone to a dentist that I had to return to several times for what I had done . It's so disappointing read more

THIS DENTAL PLACE IS NOT GOOD! I have been coming there for a while and had my teeth done, it was very expensive, but at the beginning they tried to charge me for everything. They treat you like your a bank, they don't care about their patients , the manager thinks its her place and make her own payment plans, the over charge you here stay away. After all the money they over charge you here , they even charge you over $100 for a cleaning, you should be ashamed of yourselves, care about the clients not your pockets! They are not honest. They will give you a price at first for a treatment and then give you a totally different price which is much higher than what was originally discussed. They discussed a treatment and made me sign a consent. At no point was I informed that the price which was given did not include the entire process. Apparently I was unaware (obviously because I was not informed) that the initial price I was give only included the first part of the treatment. The the sheet I was asked to sign (which I was not given time to fully read) apparently is used for them to "say that the price provided was only for the first phase" which is not what was explained and the is used against the patient. The procedure was for an implant, so not fully explaining the individual costs of each phase of an implant is unprofessional and completely dishonest on their part. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone as they clearly don't care about full disclosure with their customers. read more

I had a horrible experience. While the doctors are good, Dental Arts has insensitive, unprofessional, irresponsible office management. My braces were placed on February 29, 2020. They cancelled my subsequent appointment without giving me the option to see my orthodontist prior to the office closure. During the Pandemic, my other doctors gave me the option to come into their office to be seen prior to their closure for Covid. When I expressed this concern to the office manager, she stated that respects my opinion, but their office couldn't give me an appointment prior to the closing because the orthodontist doesn't work at this location everyday; something they didn't tell me when I paid in full for the braces. She added that having braces is an optional treatment. I tried to explain to her that after the braces are placed, treatment is no longer an option. The rubber bands in my braces became yellow and they had a weird smell. While the office was open for some patients, they refused to see me and instead gave me an appointment for 3 months later. She went on to say that my situation is NOT urgent. When I requested a refund, she responded "why do you need a refund if you already have the braces on?" Every visit I've had here to get a procedure done I've had a bad experience. They didn't explain the procedure I had done well enough until I literally walked out in tears because of what they did. The actual work they do is good however everything else has been a disaster. I was explained I would have a whitening treatment in my procedure when we discussed the plan and it was never done, now being too late to do so. They seem like they just want to do the work and not explain how things are going to be done etc. I've also been waiting for 45 min in the waiting room when my appointment was a half an hour ago yet everyone else who came in after me is going before me. Extremely unhappy with their service and probably wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

Where shall I begin, let's start with the receptionist who kept asking me if I had state insurance aka Medicaid. She asked me about 6 times, I was very annoyed. I told her "does it look like I am on Medicaid", she stopped asking me after that. When I received the bill I finally realized why, they were over billing my insurance. It all made sense to me now. I had a root canal done, and the doctor and assistant were pushing for me to get veneers. That was another red flag for me, l stopped going to that dentist 6 months later, when I had to cancel a teeth cleaning due to work. The receptionist got snippy with me, and that was the finally straw. I started going to a wonderful dentist in Verona, who is amazing and HONEST. He does not overcharge my insurance because I have a ppo. I got my Invisalign from him as well, he didn't push veneers. While on my routine visit with my new dentist for adjustment of the invisiline; he noticed my root canal that I got done last year with arts of Hacensack looked off. He ordered X-rays to be done on that tooth; the root canal decayed. The root canal was not done right; and I have to pay the price over the doctors negligence. She overcharged my insurance and I and didnot even get the job done right. If I can give them 0 stars I would. read more
