If it was possible to rate this office less than 1 star I would. The receptionist is incompetent and the dentist himself is unprofessional. After calling the office to make an appointment for my son I asked if they would see him as he was young and this was an emergency. They stated yes. I arrive to my appointment and I fill out all the necessary forms to be told that they will not see him because of his age. There so called "referral" to a pediatric dentist was to give me another offices card. When I explained that that particular dentist didn't accept my insurance I was told "well either pay out of pocket or wait 10 months for open enrollment". I suggest to anyone who is even thinking about going to this office to think again. I had never been so badly treated at an office in my life. Now I will be making sure that they told attempt to charge my insurance for not even touching my son's mouth. read more

I love the Doctors here and the staff. So pleasant to deal with and are very helpful. I have sensitivity issues with my teeth, and Dr D'Amico is plain wonderful. Along with Dr Tickoo, they both have the gift from God with there hands and skill. I rarelyyy ever feel pain or spit out blood from a cleaning session. On a side note, the technology here is pretty good with instant X-Ray scans that are seen by you on the computer as they are taken. Not like the old fashioned way, and certainly not hidden from your eyes to see. Some places will not show you your own X-Ray's! They guarantee all the work they do. Really surprised by all the very positive reviews. The office is very very old and in a dilapidated building. The elevator doesn't work, the wallpaper is yellow and peeling, windows dirty with grime over the decades and carpet is worn out. The x-ray machine doesn't stay in place. I've been going to Skyview Dental for over a year and went in recently for a routine cleaning. Dr Kim, the new owner actually handled the cleaning and I was very impressed. The cleaning was thorough and he gave me plenty of information and feedback along the way. The staff and Theresa the office manager are always friendly and helpful. I recently went to Skyview Dental since I live relatively close by. It was just a chance I took and I am happy I did it. I went in for a general cleaning and the staff was fantastic (especially Theresa). I was seen by Dr. Tickoo, who was very professional and took her time to explain to me my options for a severe cavity that I've had for a while. She was also gentle and kept asking me questions as she did the cleaning. Overall the cleaning that she did was fantastic. The office was also nice looking and well equipped. I've made up a follow up appointment and will be going back. In summary, I really liked Dr. Tickoo and Theresa and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I haven't been here in a few years now so I don't know what it's like under supposedly new management but I have nothing but terrible memories here. These dentists were so rough and kept screwing up everything in my mouth. The dentist told me I had 8 cavities and kept making me come back in to fill them in. After getting another dentist at another practice she confirmed I had none. So basically these people lied to me just to make a quick buck. Not to mention one time they completely messed up a filling and tried getting me to come back in to re-do and pay for it ....it was your screw up, FIX IT! this place makes me so angry until this day just thinking about it. What this dental seriously lacks is communication! Receptionist is awesome, patient and knowledgeable but honestly it's like the staff are multitasking too much that they forget to give their 100% attention to each and every individual client. I will be looking for yet another dental practice to go to. They lack communication regarding telling you exactly what procedure they're going to do and/or just walking out of the room not knowing what's going on. Theresa at reception was absolutely amazing! She genuinely made me feel welcome and in good hands. I have to admit, I hadn't been in to a dentist in over 10 years and was quite anxious, but after 2 days of unbearable pain with a possible abscessed tooth, I was going! I was able to get a same day appointment to my surprise and had no problems with my insurance. Dr. Tickoo was friendly, efficient and very helpful. The office is small, but neatly kept and comfortable. As nervous as I was, Dr. Tickoo was right to the point and explained everything thoroughly. Going to the dentist is never a pleasant experience however every time I walk into Skyview I'm always greeted by their very friendly receptionist, Theresa. The doctors are very professional and courteous. I was in two days ago to fix a tooth that had broken for a long time. My previous dentist before I came here was horrific. The dentist here was able to fix my tooth without chipping away at it. She did a great job and made me much more confident about my smile. None the less this is just one experience. This is the only dental office I trust. That is why even if it's quite a drive from my place, I still go here because I know I am in good hands. Dr. Tikoo is a lovely and friendly doctor. My son who is now 9 years old loves her. I don't have to drag him to see the dentist because he feels safe and at home here. Even the ones I referred to her practice feels the same way. The whole family started going to her office because it is that good. You and your kids will never be afraid to go and have their routine cleaning/check up. All staff in Skyview Dental are experienced, compassionate, nice and very friendly. They know what and how to address any dental issues in a neat, clean and very professional way. You will never get a sloppy service or results from them. My husband and I were looking for a dentist, and we decided to give Skyview Dental a try after calling 1-800-Dentist. Let's just say, that we could not have been more disappointed. While we were in the waiting room, they called my name to go in first. As any dentist facility usually would do, they walked me to the room where I would meet the dentist. Since it has been more than six months since my last visit, they decided that I needed x-rays done. The x-ray procedure itself was not bad. The lady that conducted the x-rays could have been nicer, but what can you expect. Once the x-ray lady was done, I waited in the room for a few minutes. After that, the dentist came in. She greeted me, and then began to get to work. I was in there for a general cleaning of my teeth. In a nutshell, I felt like my face is being showered during the entire procedure. Never in my life did I ever have my teeth cleaned and have so much of the liquid in my mouth jump to my face. Honestly, it was very disgusting. The dentist did not even seem to notice what was happening. Once she was done, I needed to use that typical blue bib that they give you when your sitting in that dentist chair to wipe my face down. As I was wiping my face down, the dentist told me that I had a very small cavity on one of my molars. She said it would be no big deal for her to fill in the small cavity. When she said that, I told her "alright then go ahead and fill in the small cavity." She then told me, "I won't be able to do it for you today. You'll need to set up another appointment and come back for me to fill it in for you." I found that to be very bizarre for a dentist to not have time to fill in a small cavity on the spot, especially since she JUST SAID it was not a big deal. Before I knew it, the dentist had already walked out of the room. Now this is where the story gets interesting... I literally was waiting in that chair for about 10 to 15 minutes just waiting for what was next. I kept hearing the x-ray lady and the dentist walk in the hallway, but they never came in to officially let me know if I was done or not. I started to wonder if they forgot that I was even there. Eventually, I could not take waiting any longer, so I decided to take off that blue bib and just leave the room. I found the dentist in the hallway, and I asked her if there was anything else that needed to be done, and she simply just answered "oh no, you're done." I told her that no one had let me know the procedure had ended. She simply dismissed my comment, and instructed me to go to the waiting room. Right before I entered the waiting room, I saw my husband a few rooms down. I saw him in the same predicament that I was in, which was just sitting there waiting for the "next step". I obviously was not about to have him experience the same thing I just did. I asked my husband "Did they already clean your teeth?" After my husband answered yes, I told him it was over. He gave me the confused face that I had earlier as to how this was possible for no one to let us know we were done. I told him I have been waiting in the other room this entire time until I decided to just get up and go. My husband at that point took off his blue bib as well and we both walked towards the waiting room. Once we were in the waiting room, the secretary asked us when we would like to schedule my next appointment to get my small cavity filled. I simply told her that I would get back to her. Once we were headed down the elevator, I asked my husband how his experience was with the dentist. As I was suspecting, his experience was basically the same as mine. Obviously I never set up another appointment to have my small cavity filled at this facility. We will definitely not ever be returning to this dentist office again. I will say this though. The only competent person in that entire office is a secretary. She was definitely a pleasure to speak with. I think her name was Teresa. Too bad nobody else in that office is as nice or as knowledgeable as she is. read more

I visited this dental office in March 2021 after moving to the area in early 2020. The receptionist and dental hygienist were very nice, but Dr. Kim was rude and condescending. Upon meeting him, he did not introduce himself or ask for my name. Instead, he told me he heard that I hadn't been to the dentist in years. He then looked at my x-rays and said that I shouldn't wait so long to make appointments if I was afraid. After explaining to him that I had not been to the dentist due to lack of dental insurance and funds, he proceeded to lecture me and say that I should have set money aside for this purpose. He showed me the x-rays and said that I had over ten cavities. The x-rays weren't clear and spots where he showed me cavities did not look any different than the rest of my teeth. He left without saying anything else. The hygienist, who was very kind, did my cleaning. The staff was very kind, but I cannot recommend this doctor due to his harsh and judgmental nature. read more

The front desk staff member Theresa is amazingly sweet and efficient. She works with my constant rescheduling ( I work in Manhattan now) and the fact that I changed insurance. The dentist is ok. She could use some more bedside manner training. She is not outright mean or rude but something about her approach is not as warm or inviting as it should be. A clean, well managed and maintained dental office. Dr.Tickoo owns the practice and she has a great team of associates who do a wonderful job. Dr.Irina K is the other general dentist in the practice and believe me, she is a filling dynamite. Her work is neat and accurate, she is completely honest (will tell you straight up if you need or don't need he treatment irrespective of what was said earlier), no games and money making gigs-just clean dentistry. They also have an endodontist and a periodontist in the practice who visit once a week and once a month respectively. It's a 5 operatory office that also caters children's needs(to an extent). Digital X rays and advanced equipment. The office manager/receptionist Theresa plays a vital role in the smooth running of the office. She is very efficient and always on her toes to make sure the patients have the best service provided. I would sincerely recommend this office. read more

I have chipped my upper and lower front teeth and she has done a wonderful job bringing me back my smile! I am a fit model and need to have great teeth. My gums are sensitive during cleaning so she numbs me first to make me feel comfortable. My family has been using Skyview Dental for about 7 years now and I can honestly say, this is THE BEST dental office we've ever used (and we've used quite a few). All the staff we've dealt with is very professional and there is never a long wait, provided we're on time for our appointment. With a family of 4, it can sometimes be difficult to get everyone on the same page with anything, especially healthcare and the various personalities involved. However, my entire family actually enjoys our semi-annual visits to Skyview. This includes my daughter, who has had some very frightening experiences in a few dental offices. It is important to note that my husband would be the perfect poster personality for the "anti-dentite" (smile if you watch Seinfeld). It took me quite a while to get him to go to the dentist in view of his past experiences with dentists. Now, HE ACTUALLY GOES TO THE DENTIST--NO WRESTLING NECESSARY!!! He really appreciates the family atmosphere at Skyview and personally asked me to note his experience in my review (we were just there yesterday). He really appreciates everyone there. Dr. Tickoo is fabulous and, until I knew she was the principal dentist, I thought she was just one of the staff... such an unassuming personality! Teresa eventually becomes part of your family, not only because you speak to her so often (remember, there are 4 of us), but she just has such an affable and understanding disposition. She's always a pleasure to speak with... and she knows her stuff!!!! Let's face it, going to the dentist is a big deal for not a few people, and it's important to know that you will be in the chair of a staff who will put you at ease the entire time you're there and that your insurance concerns will be appropriately addressed. I agree with the above reviews about the bed side manner, but could overlook that if the rest was good. The Dentist is extremely rough, every time I would go, my mouth and jaw would hurt for days from being pulled so hard. Thats not the worst part, all the teeth she worked on, all of them, now have issues. I have not been able to chew on that side ever since then. I had an issue only with one tooth, she turned it into several. I also told her I don't numb easily but yet I am very sensitive to the numbing. I ended up getting heart palpitations right in the chair. When I told them, they sat me up , let it pass and said we will just give you the other version of the numbing medication that doesn't have the ingredient that gives you the palpitations. SO, why didn't you give it to me in the first place after I already told you!! I could go on and on but I think that's plenty. The front office staff is nice I will give them that, but that's about it. read more

I love this office, both the staff and the dentist. They are sweet and accommodating. The dentist is tough but in a good way. She doesn't coddle you, she just does her job swiftly and impeccably. I have been there so many times and I have NEVER waited in the waiting room. I literally have never sat in a waiting room chair, not once. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. My entire family has been going to Skyview Dental for many years and we have no need to ever consider going elsewhere. Theresa is amazing, for sure. Dr. Tickoo is friendly and efficient. The dental assistants change often, but in general they are really great too. We've had to get recommendations for orthodontists and oral surgeons and Skyview Dental has never steered us wrong. Personality differences are a part of life. I love this place. They allowed me to make an appointment in the same week and ,with emergency appointments, offer the same day. Great teeth cleaning and figured out what was wrong with my wisdom tooth (it came in sideways, who knew?). I hadn't visited a dentist myself for about 10-12 years prior to going into this office. I wanted to show my 3 and 5 year old that there is nothing to be worried about going to the dentist as it was their first time there as well. I tried taking the 5 year old 1 year earlier at a different office in paramus but he "couldn't and wouldn't sit quietly and became too difficult to deal with" according to the assistant. I switched out of that office and went in to this one and I couldn't believe that of all people, the MALE HYGIENIST was able to get my 5 yr old and later my 3 year old to sit still for the entire cleaning. I decided to give it a shot myself and gathered enough courage to sit through the cleaning myself. The same male hygienist worked on all 3 of us and I wished that he'd be there again the next time I showed up because he was terrific with my kids and myself. I wish I knew what his name was but I don't remember it anymore because I just saw him that 1 day we all got our teeth cleaned. But after seeing 2 different girls in each of my next two visits, I am very disappointed and I won't be going back. I am a dental phobe to begin with and the way that the male hygienist got me to ease up and relax during my first visit in over a decade was remarkable. He also spoke frankly about the conditions of my teeth and gums rather than sitting quietly like these girls have in the two visits since. He advised me about flossing and even showed me how to brush and floss the areas I had accumulated plaque on better. I hope this message reaches the right people and they decide to bring him back!!! I went here recently after getting a coupon for xrays, cleaning, and evaluation. To start with, the location leaves something to be desired. WHen I found the door it took 15 mins to get buzzed in. The line was constantly busy so I stood outside waiting to finally get thru. Upon the start of the appointment, the xrays were the longest part. once the dentist entered the room, she sped thru my entire cleaning and evaluation in 10 mins. During the cleaning she allowed water to spray and spill all over my face and down my chin. SHe was so aggresive with the cleaning and air hose that it was constantly uncomfortable and hurting. At no point did the cleaning seem even to check all my teeth. She did not use floride, she did not floss, she did not discuss anything with me whatsoever. She finished by telling me about two filings I had gotten ten years ago, and said I should "hope" I never need a root canal because of them. Then she just disappeared without saying anything further, apparently that was my sign that I was finished. This was the biggest waste of money ever, i will still need to go to a normal acceptable dental group in order to get an actual cleaning and evaluation. Honestly, I think someone would be better off not going to the dentist at all than wasting there time with this group. I have never been so disappointed! read more
