Stephanie made sure she addressed my concerns and shared them with Dr. Chen. As usual, Dr. Chen was a Prince, being both knowledgeable and reassuring. As I no longer have dental insurance, I signed up for their $349 annual "membership". This provides a member with 2 cleanings and a 40% discount on any other dental services they may need. Seems like a decent value to me. I can only speak for the Fort Lee location, but if you're looking for a new dentist, definitely check out Beam Dental!

I love convenience, so I checked ZocDoc, and luckily J Park Dental was on there. I booked an appointment, and have been going every 6 months since. My old dentist was old school, everything was done manually. When I went to J Park Dental, I was amazed by how high tech everything seemed. They have much more modern equipment, and as a result, my teeth are much cleaner when I leave. The dentists and hygienists are all super friendly and spend quite a bit of time with you. They are very thorough and make sure you're comfortable throughout. I've seen Dr. Park and a couple other dentists and they have all been great. When I went earlier in the year, she even fixed an old filling quickly right after the cleaning. Most other places would make you book a different appointment. The office staff is also very friendly. It's very clean in the waiting room and in each of the rooms. The best part for me is that they take Saturday appointments. I live farther away in Bergen County now, but my biannual visits are a perfect excuse to head to Fort Lee, get my teeth cleaned and then go out for some great in the area. I'm so glad they were on ZocDoc and allowed me to create an easy first appointment, because now I've found a great dentist to continue going back to!

He examined a tooth that was previously diagnosed by another practice as an abscess in a tooth that was crowned and had a root canal in previously. He more than likely saved my tooth by detecting the source of my discomfort. It was an adjacent tooth, which had an Enamel-Dentine fracture in it. Dr. Osdinsky will follow-up with additional diagnostic tools to rule out missing anything on the likely previously misdiagnosed root canal tooth, which is the prudent thing to do, but has in the meantime treated the fractured tooth with Hydroxyapetite and Ozone treatment, to help with the tooth remineralization and fight back any potential anaerobic infection with minimal disturbance to the health of my oral biome. Knowing what I know now about oral health and its implications and impact on very serious general ailments elsewhere in the body, having a knowledgeable dentist who doesn't prescribe broad-spectrum antibiotics willy-nilly but instead treats things responsibly. Instead of taking ownership, she suggested I may have made a mistake, which was both incorrect and inappropriate. There was no effort to accommodate the situation or correct it. When I asked to speak with Dr. Odinsky, she refused and repeatedly spoke over me until I had to ask her to stop and listen. This isn't about a scheduling error, those happen. It's about how it was handled. There was no accountability, no attempt to resolve the issue, and no basic level of professionalism. This would not have happened under Dr. Singer's ownership. This info would've been GREAT to get in the email, before I came to my appointment. If you're with bluecross blue shield, be aware that this will probably be your situation. The hygiene was extremely tall and did not lay me flat on the dental chair and she briefly tried cleaning. I never had once hygiene does not lay me flat nor sit down to operate cleaning throughly. I was so scared she may hurt me because I knew "she was not able to see throughly into my mouth to do cleaning." She knew I was afraid from my facial expression. The result from that, dental calculus was remaining on my tooth and cleaning was undone. I complained by calling them afterwards when I saw remaining calculus, I was connected to the religion manager. She told me that if the hygiene was comfortable standing up doing cleaning, then that is the right method. I surprised for my life that the manager said hygiene should be comfortable and not the clients! She also said I should not complain because my insurance paid for the service, and she tried to schedule the deep cleaning appointment with same hygiene! I could not believe what I have heard and how they treated me like just money and not getting treated for dental health. They charged my insurance for undone cleaning job. She has not apologized for my bad experience, and she does not understanding the procedure of cleaning. Everyone, please be careful which dentist to trust for the healthcare service! In all of my years sitting in dental chairs, this is by far and wide my most positive experience with a surgeon, their front office, and the incredible work done. Since moving to New York 14 years ago, I have been seen and had work done by 6 dentists and 3 oral surgeons. I have never felt comfortable in their chairs, which is something as a patient, you really hope happens when you visit. I have been shamed for my teeth, referred by dentists to surgeons for extractions, aka teeth pulling "mills", where you feel like a number and all they do is put you to sleep, yank teeth, and send you home in agony. But when I was referred by my new awesome dentists to Dr. Wanatick, I knew the moment I walked in that I was in really good hands. I was anxious for my first visit and immediately put at ease by Dr. Wanatick. It was like he had seen my case 100 times and knew just what to do. I had curved and divergent roots on multiple sick teeth that needed to come out - problem is in an overcrowded space with no wriggle room, this can present as an impossible case to many dentists and surgeons. Dr. Wanatick's high tech x rays and state of the art equipment, along with his immense knowledge of teeth, bone structure, nerves, and how to best solve this case blew my mind. His team are kind, compassionate and competent. Everyone is excellent at what they do in Dr. Wanatick's office! He demands the best from his team and I love it. He treats them with kindness and respect and that says a lot about a person in general. It was like walking into a well oiled machine that feels like your living room, and are so full of knowledge and solutions, kindness and understanding. We decided to break the surgery down into 2 parts - doing one side of my mouth first to ensure I would have a biting surface and the other side could heal. We started with the more difficult side on Monday which was 4 extractions and 3 implant surgeries. I was especially nervous about having to numb the upper area because that upper mouth shot has never not been painful for me - until Dr. Wanatick did it. I literally never felt as much as a pinch from his needle - he's THAT good. From past trauma post-op, I was expecting unbearable pain and swelling, but was again pleasantly shocked to have no pain the next day with just soreness, and very little swelling for the work done. It hasn't even been 48 hours since my surgery and you could have fooled me it even happened! The front office have called to check on me, as has Dr Wanatick. I've dreaded this surgery for years and thanks to Dr. Wanatick and his team, I'm actually looking forward to the next one.
