I went in May this year and as a new patient, came here for affordability & luckily also got quality dental care by just haphazardly Googling this place. The lady on the phone was very professional & pleasant. Since I chipped my tooth the day before, she got me in quick the next day in the early morning. Seems as though, availability is flexible & I feel confident that they'd accommodate me immediately in any future matters. There is a special called "Look & See" to exam if you feel something is wrong which was fit exactly to assess my chipped tooth & if it was worse than I expected. I got into the room led by an assistant, put on TV (you can probably request to change channels), put on my bib, then did xrays as gently as she can & said that the Doctor would be coming in. It didn't take long to meet my doctor and she was soft spoken & kind. She was very informative of the process. She assessed my tooth & in addition found 5 cavities. I agreed to have them done so there was additional charge. Her hands were sturdy & not painful. She was very empathetic & conscious about pain. She was also cost-conscious, she was thoughtful to ask what I could afford and had the secretary discuss costs first prior continuing the procedures. My experience to Dr Dental was horrible, I saw they had the advertisement for $57 teeth cleaning service for new patient that you don't need to have insurance. I didn't have dental insurance back to then, so I thought I would give it a try since it was very close to my office. I made an appointment at 6:30 Pm and the wait time was over 1 hour. I could stand the long wait as long as the service as good, but it was by far the worst teeth cleaning experience I have ever had, the dentist who cleaned my teeth only used 10 minutes and he was very careless and very sloppy. The water sprayed my face during the teeth cleaning and he didn't have assistant to give me a tissue to wipe my face. That made me very upset. I basically left the dentist office really angry and felt I dumped $57 into the water. They had a follow up call couple days later to check if I was satisfied the teeth cleaning treatment and I told them it was really bad, they offered me to go there again and promised they will give me the special rate ($57 ) for my second visit but I will never consider returning to that place and I will not recommend any one coming here. read more

My first time here!! I can say overall I had a great experience! Dr. Lee was very provisional and caring. I told her I get anxiety to know I gotta go to the dentist because of my last experience that was horrible and very painful. She really made me feel comfortable and she kept asking me if I was ok and to let her know when I feel uncomfortable so she can stop but thankfully that wasn't the case. After an oral exam and cleaning, she explained everything I needed to get done and took the time answer all my questions. I am soooo happy I found her and I will come back to get my teeth with her. I read all the reviews from this place and yeah a few things are true like the waiting time and the water dripping too much but these are minors things to worry about when in actuality the main procedure is what counts! My teeth look so clean and I have plan in place to get everything fix now. They do offer payment plans with no interests for 12 month for your copayments so that's a plus!! read more

Booked my appointment over a month before for my two kids just to get a phone call the day before telling me they changed the day from Thursday to Friday. I told her we need to keep Thursday since we keep Shabbat and I can't do fridays. She tried to tell me that they needed to give me a later date cause the dr that takes our insurance isn't in often. She didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with changing a patient's appointment without notifying them. When I told her I'd just be getting another dentist she didn't seem to care at all. SO unorganized and unprofessional! Read their "Not currently recommended" reviews (all the way on the bottom)! Considering they are a discount dentist chain, I would have to say my experience was very good. I paid $57 for an exam, cleaning and X-rays. The dentist, (Dr. Bhagal) was nice and patient. I never write reviews simply because I don't have the time; however this needs to be heard and hopefully will get the attention of the individual/s who own this business. I came here at the tail end of 2015 due to an unfortunate change in insurance, suffice to say it's not the best insurance, none the less it's something. I noticed that the office manager (Yarellys) had a hateful, angry, down right bad disposition. I didn't really let it bother me because a: I'm used to receiving jealousy from insecure women, b: she wasn't there most of the time, c: the other girls made up for her bad attitude with their friendliness, and d: the doctors although very mediocre got the job done. The problem came about in January-February after she ran some of her staff off including a dentist, and she "angrily had to be there more often than she clearly wanted too. A week before my appointment the confirmation calls were flooding my phone (all at times I couldn't answer) she personally left me 3 voicemails, the one that stands out came through at 8pm the night before my 4pm scheduled appointment threatening that if I didn't' confirm within 24hrs there would be a charge. She called 4hrs too late to inform me about her new rule. This is the same place that on 2 occasions back to back, called to cancel on me 10 min before my appointment. When I called back to tell her that I would undoubtedly call before hand if I couldn't make an appointment and if it was possible to minimize the calls, she went off on me. That was it for me, even after all that I still did the right thing by calling the ins to have them contact Dr. Dental and inform that I would not be returning. Of course she took the defense and tried to make me out to be the problem. It gets worse, the post/core and crown that Dr. Lee had done which I was not happy with, came out. Leaving me no choice but to go back. Dr. Sayed who is the better of the 2 tried cementing it back in but it didn't hold being that my tooth broke off. They advised me to come back when Dr. Lee was in, I did, waited an hour to see her all for her to tell me that there was nothing she could do. No apology no nothing. On my way out Yarellys called me into her office to advise me that she was dismissing me as a patient, and tried to get me to sign a bogus dismissal form. When I asked what she had against me she was speechless. She is not a people person and does not know how engage with her patients or staff, for that matter. She has no clue that customers and staff are 2 pivotal components in any business and it is her job to ensure that both are happy and satisfied, instead she is driving both out the door. If someone doesn't step in or she doesn't switch up her attitude this business in going to fall apart, from the inside out that is, "The fish rots from the head". I'm a firm believer in the saying "you reap what you sow". I did absolutely nothing to deserve this kind of treatment. There is no shortage in dentist, think twice before going to Dr. Dental in Hackensack or any of them in NJ because she seems to have her hand in everything. read more

I'm glad I wasn't discouraged by the reviews I almost didn't go but my bf convinced me that it was good and cheap. First off, I have a fear of dentists so bad I haven't gotten a teeth cleaning in six years I figured since I'm a grown up and my mom can't make me go anymore I would say screw it. So I procrastinated for years however I was starting to get a noticeable plaque buildup on my teeth and had no choice cause I had to be on camera this week (FYI I'm an actress and filming a new tv show) Needless to say this place was great, the front desk receptionist was super friendly and made me feel comfortable I can say the same for all the staff. Honestly it made me nervous that they were so nice cause I thought awe crap they're preparing me for the worst I'm gonna get into the seat and then the pain comes but nope no pain. The doctor was experienced and relaxing. I commended him for his nurturing persona cause had he not walked me through everything and been so calm and patient I would have passed out from anxiety. This is the dentist I wish my mom would have taken me to as a child. Anyways, to sum things up this is a great place , great service and cheap but still not lacking quality had they charged double like what other dentists charge I would have paid it so I appreciate them providing a more affordable service for people like myself who don't have insurance. I was not happy with my experience today, my daughter need to have a tooth extracted. I went two days back to back and they told me they could get it done on the next visit. The doctor came in the room spoke with my daughter a few minutes and kept telling me my daughter would not let her do it. She did not try to smooth her over. Or Try to do the extraction, off the back you need to go somewhere else. My daughter asked if she could watch TV while they pull out her tooth the doctor said no. She could not have my daughter wait until the patient finished and get her in the room where the TV was. That's bad service. She is a child and scared to get a tooth taken out. I was very upset that the doctor was ready to push my child out of the room and move on to the next patient. She is a kid! If you don't have the patience to deal with kids don't see them. Terrible experience. I went in for the first time to have a cleaning, and I also brought up that I thought a filling that may need to be repaired. After doing the cleaning, they wanted to repair the filling right away. I am a busy business owner, so I was not prepared to stay any longer, as I had appointments to go to. When I told the assistant I could not stay for the filling, she asked "why not?" Because I can't, I don't owe you an explanation. Just rude. I came back to have the filling replaced and was told I would be responsible for the $20 co-pay. I received a bill for $180 from their collection department. I've left two voicemails with the collection department to pay the bill, and no return call. I called the office (their automated prompt system is a nightmare to be able to speak with a live person) questioning why I was told I was responsible for $20 and received a bill for $180. The front desk told me to call the collection department. I told them they would just be looking for payment, I'm trying to understand why I was told something different. I was told I would receive a call back with an explanation, and never did. Just tried to call the collection department, and it doesn't ring, and says voicemail is full. What a nightmare. I went in with two broken teeth that needed to be assessed. One had nerve exposed, broke in half and I was in pain, not just someone getting an exam done, etc. I waited with my boyfriend for nearly TWO hours without one word said to me by the staff ...They had ONE Dentist that I could see of on a Saturday..probably their busiest day of the week..who came up front and chatted with the receptionist and other patients waiting that he obviously knew as the hours went by. Not one "we'll be with you soon".or ."sorry for the wait".not a word. They obviously booked 8 people for an 11 am appointment we all had. I always leave there feeling satisfied with the service. The dentist is nice enough and the place is clean. But the wait time is atrocious. Some of us have to make arrangements and leave work early to go to the appointment just to get there on time and wait for an hour. Seriously!? I could've stayed and worked my full shift instead of wasting an hour of my day for an appointment. They didn't even bother to acknowledge how much time had elapsed until I said something. I had to have a follow up for a cavity and again, waited to be seen 45 mins after my appointment. This place is ridiculous and they only seem to have 1 dentist on duty but 5 receptionists. Really!? I haven't been to a dentist in a very long time so naturally I was very scared for my appointment. Let me tell you, from the moment I walked it, everyone was SO nice and caring, it made me feel at ease. The only issue I had was the wait but I wasn't about to complain. I work at a drs office so I know waits happen! Once i met with the Dr, I explained my history and what was going on with my mouth. When she started the cleaning she talked me through everything and helped me understand what she was doing. Before I knew it, I was done and on my way out the door! I was there on Friday & was seen by Dr. Syed. Absolutely the worst experience in my life. She was pleasant. She "cleaned" my teeth, if that's what you want to call it. I barely felt the instrument on my teeth. I had water ALL OVER my face that she had to give me a paper towel to wipe it. I mean on my forehead?? My teeth are not clean! Is this what you pay for? She had me schedule a follow up visit for fillings & an extraction of a wisdom tooth. After this experience, I cannot imagine I'd allow this doctor to do any other procedures. Last week I walked in to their office and made an appointment for today 4/23 for myself and my husband. I gave them my insurance card and they confirmed they take the insurance and made a copy of the card and my license. They gave me the papers to fill out and bring back today the day of the appointment. This morning at 820am 20 minutes before our appointment they called to advise me that they did not take my insurance. I was very upset since I had given them the card last week in person and they took a copy of it and made the appointment and two days ago called me to confirm the appointment only to call me 20 minutes before when i was leaving my house! Staff member at front of desk was rude, unprofessional and argumentative. My appointment was at 2 pm and my daughter and I got there 3 minutes late. This was our first time there and we were waiting for over an hour to be seen. The staff member told me since we were there late they let the 2:30 appointment go in ahead of us!! What kind of customer service is that. She did not call us or inform us that as first time customers we will be penalized for being 3 minutes late. BIG RED FLAG!! This is the worst place ever. Please save your money and research elsewhere for a professional and experienced dentist. I went in for a root canal a few months ago and the dentist who wasn't even the original dentist had no clue what they were doing and put me through so much pain and agony. I had to come a few times and the dentist kept injecting me with local anesthetics and I could feel everything the so called dentist was doing to me. The dentist had no clue what he/she was doing. I had to sit for hours and I have high blood pressure and this made it worst. To top it all off the dentist overfilled my tooth and the dentist says it happens all the time and there was no up to date X-rays . They bring you this tiny picture so you can see your screwed up tooth that they screwed up. I ended up with so much pain, infection, overfilled root canal and I had to pay so much for a simple procedure that they had no idea on how to take care of it. All they want is money. After putting up a fight and arguing they refunded me my money but I was left with all those problems. I Went to a REAL AND PROFESSIONAL dentist who showed my everything on a wide screen computer before doing anything and was so gentle and caring and pleasant as well. I just went here on Thursday and had 4 fillings done and a cleaning. I didn't feel a thing and Dr. Sanchez was amazing!! The considerate receptionist gave me headphones which were great distraction to the drill, yet regardless, there was no pain or discomfort. It was CHEAP too and I don't have dental insurance. They were nice, quick, it was clean, and me and my sister are both big fans and now loyal patients. Go and handle your teeth! read more

Today was my appt. not only did that girl remember who I was but also remembered how scared I was. to me the waiting is nothing as long as I get that same attention. OMG the assistant was great, she tried so hard to calm me down. then the dentist came in, she explained my options and I chose to have it pulled out. she tried so hard to keep me pain free and when i asked for a brake she gave it to me. if she was someone else she would have sent me to somewhere else but no, she took her time and was very patient with me. So patient they were there till 5 pm, and I am so greatful for that because some one actually cared about my fears and now once healed I will be pain free. . I have horrible insurance through my employer & their dentist just wanted to extract several teeth that I mainly chew with. I tried the Hackensack University Dental Clinic & had an even worse experience there. My wife alerted me to Dr. Dental & they have been very accommodating, professional & compassionate, not to mention a clean, nice facility. I had minimal wait times (minutes) for my appointments with Dr. Sayed. So far, I have had their $57.00 special, an evaluation, two or three fillings & two root canals with the posts & crowns done. I am very satisfied & pleased that we discovered them & decided to proceed with a full mouth restoration. read more

I would like to take the time out to say thank you to a wonderful office. My son was in a lot of pain and walked in to this office to see if they participate with his insurance. We had scheduled an appointment for the following week. The girls at the front desk realized how much pain he was in that they had the Dr see my son that very same day. The doctor was very nice and explained everything that needs to be done to my son. My son was so pleased after the visit he asked if we could make this his dentist for good. I told him yes, because it was always hard for me to get him to the dentist. After seeing how well my oldest son made out, I had my youngest be seen for his first dental exam at the age of three.
