Everything - they like to delete Google reviews if you post something negative. After having gone to "a competitor" repeatedly for CT scans scheduled with a different doctor (for the same body part) I hope I do not have to come back to this place again. You'll get a harassing message about arriving 15 min early or losing your appointment (and another about being charged $100 if you don't show) but when you do show up early you won't be promptly checked in. The desk attendants were discussing voicemails that haven't been checked for 24 hours and other topics first. The patient screening form is rather lengthy and appears to be for all possible options, so make sure you know what your exam is for (so you don't consent to contrast if you're not getting contrast). Also, even after arriving 15 minutes early don't expect to be seen on time (or even early like I often was at Element). Maybe it was because I went on a Saturday? Once you do go back there isn't a place to sit and take off your shoes for an ankle scan. This was a little awkward as I had on boots that needed to be laced up. I did give a second star for Miranda who was the very nice and helpful technician. She explained that the doctor wanted me to have the scans and that it would be on a QR code that I could take with me. I did appreciate getting to take these home, but this also meant waiting. I'm glad it was the weekend and I didn't have to be anywhere else. I have been going to DIC in OPK to have my imaging tests done for some years now. At least 10+. Mostly because the hospitals are a rip off let's just face it. That's the flat truth. It's always easy to get an appt. Sometimes the day of! And all my technicians have been professional and kind. I can't claim that any dr office I have been to has that kind of record. I had an order from my Dr. For a chest x-ray. They scheduled me for 2:15 today. Called, texted me reminders. I arrived 15 mins prior for my appointment. I am still waiting to be called. Literally the whole waiting room has been taken back including walk ins. Horrible customer service. They have actually totally skipped me. My time is valuable too. Called the billing office and was on hold for over 3 hours . (I started as 5 in the queue). They offered an option to leave a message which took me to a FULL voicemail, so it was a dead end. Do better, Diagnostic Imaging. The scheduling person gave me an out-of-pocket estimate but could not confirm if the discount for paying in full was a current or previous promotion. read more

Feb 2025, billing is a mess. I had a procedure done Oct of 2024 and paid with my HSA card in full at the time of the procedure. My insurance needs an itemized statement so I called billing to get one. They said they could see my payment but it somehow does not show as paid? She said a statement could not be sent until is showing paid (even though she could see I paid it?) Since then I have had to call 4 more times and each rep has said that a statement has been mailed. I have received nothing, I have been watching the mail like a hawk since last Nov and verified my address each time I've called. They say I cannot receive this as a fax or email, only snail mail. Now my HSA has said they're going to freeze my card unless I can produce an itemized receipt. I am never coming to this place for anything again, total headache dealing with this. read more

I used Diagnostic Imaging many years ago and boy have they grown. The Dr. wanted me to get a cat-scan to check and see if a black spot on the right lung had grown. They set me up an appointment at OPR off Quiveria, but they told me I had to pay them $1,380 BEFORE I even started. Well, forget that, and yes; we have insurance too. So, I decided to go someplace else. You can see the NEW Diagnostic Imaging off I-435 between Metcalf & Nall at 6650 W. 110th St. in Overland Park, KS. I called them and made the appointment. and the bill for the cat-scan was less than half of what the hospital wanted. When I got there, I had to fill out a form, which is normal, and counted 12 people ahead of me! Yet, the nurses were calling people in steadily. When I was done with the form, 2 people were ahead of me and others were coming in. I figured it would take at least an hour before anything was done. WRONG. IN ALL, with a lot of people, I was there for about 30 minutes and done. IN & OUT. THIS PLACE IS FAST, PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, AND NOT A RIP-OFF! WHAT ELSE DO YOU EXPECT? I was impressed on how organized the staff was and how friendly & how the tech and nurse explained things of what they were going to do and in less than 10 minutes---done with the cat-scan! I went over to the Medical Section, a few weeks later and got a copy of the report and a copy of the scan pictures on CD. Plus, billing was upstairs and while there, paid the bill off. I paid a little under 1/3 of a the bill insurance sent me, which was 1/2 of what the hospital was going to charge. So, IF YOU need to get some type of X-Ray or Cast-Scan, I very Highly suggest you come to this Diagnostic Imaging here at 6650 W. 110th St. in Overland Park, KS. You'll get FAST, PROFESSIONAL, SERVICE AND SAVE MONEY TOO. For me, I'll just come here from now on if I need for any X-Rays or Cat-Scans, as fast and professional as they are. I had what I considered to be an abusive experience with a male technician at Diagnostic Imaging Center (Overland Park, KS) when I had my first 3D mammogram in 2022. They found a tiny lump. So I had to have a breast ultrasound and a male tech came out to perform the ultrasound. I said "No, I want a female tech." This man refused to respect my wishes. For several minutes he tried to coerce me into letting him do the ultrasound. I had to say no repeatedly before he would leave. In less than 10 minutes a sweet female technician came out and she did my ultrasound. I shouldn't have to justify why I want a female tech for any invasive exams and procedures, but I am a rape survivor. All my doctors are female. I shouldn't have had to say no more than once to that male tech. I felt like I had been bullied. read more

I haven't been here in a really long time so I was kind of caught off guard at how the esthetic of the outside of this building had changed. I almost passed it up because I was looking for what it used to look like, lol. I called after getting a referral for an x-ray. I was happy to know that they called me very quickly and I didn't have to wait for a long time to get in. They called me at 9:00AM and I was in at 10:15AM. I checked in and someone took my info after maybe a 5-10 min wait. Fairly soon after that a really nice x-ray tech took my scans and I was out before by 10:40AM! Gotta love that! read more

I had a 2:30 pm appointment at Diagnostic Imaging of Overland Park for a bone density scan. They say to arrive 15 minutes earlier than your appointment time so I arrived at 2:10. I had filled out all of the paperwork online a couple of days previous but they had me fill out more paperwork. The waiting room had quite a few people when I arrived and I had to wait to get checked in. One of the women working behind the counter was complaining endlessly. I got the impression that she doesn't like her job. She said the printer was jammed and she couldn't find the jam. Nor did she know what to do about it. I sat and waited. My appointment time came and went. The waiting room emptied out and a few more patients came in. A woman finally called me 28 minutes after my appointment time. I asked her if they would be doing my scan shortly and she said it would be at least another 20 minutes before they started my scan. I told her I couldn't wait because I am an insulin dependent diabetic and I could feel my blood sugar crashing. I had left home at 1:45 to get to my appointment 15 minutes early and it was going to be at least 3:20 before they even started my scan. I asked her if they understood that they have sick people coming in for imaging. She seemed oblivious. I left and came home to get some food. I had been using diagnostic imaging for a number of years for my mammograms. No more. These people seem to be untrained for health care or even for un-jamming their printer. read more

I had a referral to get an X-ray. Check-in was quick and the wait wasn't long at all. The nurse call me right away and it didn't take long to get the X-ray done: I was dressed and didn't wait long at all, in the lobby, before I was released. It took every bit of 30 minutes to get in/out. read more

Why am I getting another bill two years later. And how could the balance their ar plus I never got a statement for the past two years ( because I paid it already). I've been here twice now. Very impressed by everyone there. They really take care of you. They really do their best to make you feel comfortable and the staff is just so sweet! So if you need an MRI you have to try it here. They have options to the machines that are used. So if your scared just give them a call and ask what would work best for you. read more

I had to get an ultrasound on my legs, to rule out blood clots. I made an appointment, went in, checking in was super easy. I sat for around 10 minutes, and then was taken back. I really like that they worked with me, I am allergic to an ingredient in the Ultrasound Gel, so they were able to find me Ultrasound Gel that was Sterile, the only downside is it's not warmed like the regular, so it was a little cold. Stay away from this place. All they care about is the money. My last mammogram was in 2012. I scheduled a mammogram in 2014, and received a phone call stating they could not see me, unless I paid half of my bill. I did not know that I had a bill or an outstanding balance as I had never received any bills from them. Whatever amount I did owe them was paid in full. If there was a subsequent balance they never did advise me of any remaining balance. The person who called me was a male and was not very nice about the situation. To tell me that I cannot have the mammogram and cancel my appointment is an outrage. The sad thing is that they will hold my past records hostage over a bill that I had no knowledge of. read more

I got an x ray the other day and it was super fast and I was 100% pleased which is why this place would be getting five stars. Unfortunately the people in scheduling have ruined that for everybody. On monday, i scheduled an MRI for the next day at 3:30. I arrived at 3:00 and upon checking in, I was told I was not scheduled for an appointment. Excuse me? The receptionist then realized I had ACTUALLY been scheduled for 10 am and I had missed my appointment. It would have been nice to know that my appointment was 5 hours earlier than I was told it would be. Upon calling to reschedule, I was told that there was no record of me having any appointment in the first place. Seriously?? This was the only time I was available to go in before the actual doctors appointment (which I need the MRI for), and it's pretty frustrating that the disorganization here is now MY problem, when there shouldn't have been an issue in the first place. I feel like three stars is a little generous, but I dont want to give any less because i do think the medical professionals in the office really do a fantastic job! read more

wow...the experince was efficient and about the as pleasent as being pulled over by the police. Next time I will pay the extra cost for going out of network. Just a tip...going there for fast results on testing or because they advertise lower costs, call around first and find out that the competion is as fast and charges the same fees. True they are cheaper than a hospital but unless you are in an emergency room why would you pay for an mri at the hospital. read more

This place should be investigated for their practices. The services for radiology are ok. When it comes to billing I question their procedure. I was referred to them by attending physician on 05/09/2018. I have never received a bill (they have had my current address since day one). I have been referred to on multiple occasions since. All other bills have been (I assume) paid. Their way of notifying me of non-pay of the procedure on 05/09/2018 outstanding was to place it in collection sometime in May of 2019. Just a heads up if you value your credit standing. Took mine down over 30 points. I would have paid the $129.00 and worked it out w/ins. to resolve. No damage. What they have done cannot be repaired by them. My primary reason for this review. read more

I go there every year for my routine/screening mammogram. The staff is very friendly and so far my experience has been good except this year. When they discovered a slight change compared to the previous year they also performed an ultrasound. Everything turned out fine. Two weeks later I received an invoice for the full amount which was supposed to be paid by my insurance which covers the annual screening mammograms. When I called Diagnostic Imaging about this, I was informed it was submitted to the insurance as a "diagnostic" mammogram and therefore I had to pay over $300 out of pocket. Despite my complaint their management did not change their mind and would not re-submit it as a screening mammogram. Next year I will go to a different provider. read more

BEWARE OF YOUR CHARGES from Diagnostic Imaging Centers. Sadly, many websites discuss how to over bill patients. Most health providers automatically reject the overlapping CPT codes we were charged because it's like replacing 7 tires for a car that only has 4 wheels! So Diagnostic Imaging Centers added CPT modifier 59 so this fraudulent bill could process. Researching this online took some time but saved us lots of money, so time well spent. read more

We actually used their Olathe location. With no insurance we called first to get pricing. We were quoted a price of $500 for a CT scan. We arrived Saturday morning (yay for Saturday appts!) and were greeted by a lady at the counter who proceeded to answer the phone and talk, quite loudly, in what seemed like a personal call with no regards to us whatsoever. When she finally does give us her attention, she has us fill out all the paperwork and then proceeds to tell us, after we wasted all that time on paperwork, that the price was more than doubled - someone made a mistake. Really? A mistake that was more than twice the original price???? She told us the price was $800 plus another $400 for contrast. We walked out. I did some research on Google and found Johnson County Imaging who beat their original $500 price. They only charge $1 per cc of contrast and only charge for what they actually use. I guess Diagnostic Imagine prefers working with insurance. read more
