You'll get a harassing message about arriving 15 min early or losing your appointment (and another about being charged $100 if you don't show) but when you do show up early you won't be promptly checked in. The desk attendants were discussing voicemails that haven't been checked for 24 hours and other topics first. The patient screening form is rather lengthy and appears to be for all possible options, so make sure you know what your exam is for (so you don't consent to contrast if you're not getting contrast). Also, even after arriving 15 minutes early don't expect to be seen on time (or even early like I often was at Element). Maybe it was because I went on a Saturday? Once you do go back there isn't a place to sit and take off your shoes for an ankle scan. This was a little awkward as I had on boots that needed to be laced up. I did give a second star for Miranda who was the very nice and helpful technician. She explained that the doctor wanted me to have the scans and that it would be on a QR code that I could take with me. I did appreciate getting to take these home, but this also meant waiting. I'm glad it was the weekend and I didn't have to be anywhere else. They've always been fast and easy to schedule with and see me within minutes of my appointment time (even early on occasions!). The technicians have always been courteous, professional and provide the best level of care. I've been to this urgent care about 4 or 5 times over the years and I went today for upper…read moreabdominal pain. There was a line and I was third, which typically is not the case when standing. The receptionist was pleasant and I was called back quickly by a nurse and the other two people were called back quickly as well who had been in the line. The nurse was pleasant also who took my vitals. The room was clean and I'm glad they had a small TV with cable because I did have to wait in the room about 30 minutes which has not been the case in other visits. The APRN came in and he was nice as well and took his time and ordered a sonogram for me. Unfortunately the only imaging at urgent care's tend to be X-rays. So since it was a Friday I will probably have to wait until next week. The nurse that came in to explain the paperwork was also nice. I will continue to go there in the future since I tend to get in more quickly than other urgent care centers.
