Seriously…read more The food is fresh, delicious, heavy, and provides traditional Czech options that have been vegetarianized - a great opportunity if you're interested in the local cuisine. The daily lunch menus are especially afforable and have never been anything short of excellent. Be aware that the menu changes constantly based on what is in season and what they are feeling passionate about. Which is a plus in my eyes. The place is very small, with limited seating. You may want to book in advance.

The only thing is, it's a bit of a small restaurant so you either have to make a reservation or happen to show up at a time when there's a table available. I ordered the quesadillas and a Virgin Mojito made with green tea. The quesadillas were yummy! They came with a side of salsa that had the perfect (if not more) amount of kick, and some sour cream. In Europe, apparently quesadillas aren't finger food so I was trying to cut mine with the knife, and ended up struggling quite a bit. I think my knife wasn't sharp enough, but I didn't bother asking for a new one since I was already almost finished. So be wary of the blunt knives. The Virgin Mojito was very good! They used green tea instead of the rum, and my aunt said it still tasted like a regular Mojito because of the amount of lime and mint used. Plus, it came with a handy metal straw that wouldn't let all the mint and lime go up the straw when you took a sip. Perfect refreshing drink if you're not looking for something alcoholic!

It's a very worldly affair with many ethnic creations from all over the world. They note that their food creations have no borders. And it showcases in their menu. For dinner they have a tasting menu or a la carte option. We opted for the a la carte option. For appetizers we ordered fried spring rolls with mock Peking duck which consisted of seitan, hoisin sauce, cucumber, mint coulis, and light dressing. These rolls were excellent. For the main course I had cocoa ravioli with Gorgonzola, pears, walnuts, and beetroots. One of the most creative pastas I have ate and it was excellent. And Sam M had fried sushi with avocado, smoked carrots and other veggies. So good in taste as well. In drinks, they had creative lemonades and teas. I ordered the hibiscus elderberry iced tea. Sam M ordered a tropical style lemonade. Both drinks were refreshing. Service was attentive and good. This place is worth a try for some creative foods items. ~

Upon my most recent visit the food was overpriced and mediocre. The tofu makhani dish was so sweet I found it inedible. One of the starters, advertized as a kind of camembert and fig puff was comprised of stale crackers with a slice of cheese on it...for a steep price. The atmosphere is still nice, high end.

Based on good old Yelp, I went here. The place is nice inside, right on the water. Though I didn't…read moresee any outdoor dining. I started with the grilled octopus- this could be he best octopus I've ever had. It was so tender! My friend had the parsnip soup and raved about it. It looked good. She had the homemade ravioli with pumpkin filling- I tried a bite and it was ok, in my opinion (I'm not a huge pasta person). She liked it. I ordered the sirloin (receipt said ribeye and it definitely looked more like a ribeye). I had the lentil and root vegetable ragout with it. The steak was very fatty. Cooked rare, as I asked but not a sirloin, as represented. The root vegetables were tiny and mixed in with the lentils. It was pretty much carrots- not what I expected. In general, a good experience and meal and I would suggest it if you're looking for a nice meal in Prague with gluten free options.

We were pleasantly surprised at how great this place was. From the service, to the ambiance and excellent music choices of Lana Del Rey playing in the background, to the delicious meal we enjoyed everything was top notch! We ordered a bottle of the Sancerre which was delicious. I highly recommend this light and refreshing French wine. Then we enjoyed the three item starter where you can pick three menu items off the starter list. We chose the smoked salmon, roast beef, and vegetable stuffed with cheese. All three were excellent and this was accompanied by a selection of different breads. For our mains, we ordered the puff pastry stuffed with courgette, carrot and goat cheese, tomato purée and chickpea gnocchi and the ravioli stuffed with ricotta, wild nettles, and sundried tomatoes with lemon confit sauce. Each bite was better than the last! Pretty great vegetarian options here, making you forget that they're even vegetarian. These dishes were so unique and flavorful. We also were able to catch an excellent showing of fireworks that went off over the water in front of the restaurant! They let us leave our table for a brief moment to walk outside to view the fireworks. Dinner and a show, oh my! This was the perfect way to end our classy evening at the Opera. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Prague. My only complaint is that we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy what looked like a delicious dessert menu. The kitchen was closed by the time we were ready to order. I guess I will have to return on my next trip to Prague to give it my fullest effort!
