This place was quite an experience. To start, we were made aware that none of the food is not…read moreheated or cooked in any way, and we were curious as to what this place was all about. I started with the homemade lime lemonade which was good, and very strong to the taste. My boyfriend had the organic white wine which was very tasty I must say. I opted for a tomato soup to start, thinking that was a safer bet, this soup tasted great even though it was ice cold. For our main courses we got the cucumber spaghetti with avocado sauce and the original sunburger. The cucumber spaghetti was basically cucumbers pressed through a pasta machine to resemble spaghetti , not seasoned at all so it was rather bland and a hefty portion as well. The sunburger made us laugh because it was basically a piece of red pepper, carrot, lettuce and cucumber on a whole grain mix of a cracker, quite far from the looks of a burger I would say!
Overall, our service was excellent, the ambiance was very nice and tasteful, but do not going here expecting to be a changed vegan afterwards. If you want to give a raw vegan lifestyle a go, this would be a great place to start. For people like us who live for BBQs, and are avid meat lovers, this meal left us quite dissatisfied. It isn§t Secret of Raws fault entirely, but if they want to convert meat lovers they will have to try a bit harder.
