We needed to replace AC unit and then had problem with a thermostat that I had installed :(. Dale was friendly, very knowledgeable, on time and a pleasure to deal with. I have recommended him to friends. I have found his prices very fair. There was one problem that gave him fits but he worked through it and found the problem and repaired it. Apparently there was a short that was very difficult to find. I even went up in the attic when he wanted to show me the problem, and it was not pleasant up there with the heat. From my experience with Dale, I would ignore the review by Darren A. as he seems to like to give 1 star reviews if he doesn't get his way. read more

I'm on the board of a community of 208 units for over 16 years- not sure how we ended up with this air conditioning company, but we will not be calling Dale with DH Mechanical again. We have a rec center for parties that has three A/C zones of air-conditioning units. Yesterday, a cleaning crew came in and turned on all of the air conditioners at around 11am. They set them each to 75°. When I came in for an inspection last night after 9:30pm, the air conditioner was on and set to 72° in all three zones, BUT it was 86° in the building!! Clearly something was wrong- the AC had been on for many many hours. Granted, the temperature yesterday reached 100°, but with three zones of air-conditioning in a building that only holds 75 people, that should be sufficient- not the first time that someone's had a party at the rec center during a heat wave. Dale arrived- upset because it was a Saturday and he had plans. After quickly looking at the thermostats- 2 set to 72° and another set to 65°, he came to the conclusion that everything is working fine. The temperature in the building is 72°, what more do you want? Yes, that is true -in the morning. His attitude became condescending. "Do you think it's going to get to 65° if it's not even getting to 72°?" In his desire to leave so quickly, he never bothered to inspect thoroughly- didn't notice that one of the three air conditioners was not even running at all. The thermostat showed "on" but no air coming out of the vents. Great AC guy! When I was finally able to reach out to him, he said call someone else. No problem, Dale. Ok read more

DH Mechanical - Dale NEVER CHECKED- says WE were ignorant- so unprofessional. Infrared shows 76° already at noon. Not blowing. Call someone else. - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me

So happy I called. Dale (I could be wrong about his first name) was so incredibly honest and helpful from start to finish. I had attempted to install a new Nest Thermostat and after troubleshooting and customer support failed, I reached out to several Pros that the Nest website provided. I had contacted about 7 other companies through email and phone before reaching Dale. I received some quotes but mostly voicemails, but reached Dale right away. When i gave him a rundown of my issues, he spent time over the phone to try and instruct me on how I could possibly fix it myself and save some money! He didn't even have to see the issue to know what went wrong, and instead of trying to just get his foot in the door just to charge me, he attempted to help AND save me money! I ended up needing his assistance, but he was incredibly kind and I loved how willing he was to not only fix the problem, but show me what he was doing to prevent/fix the problem in the future. Overall, he was just an incredibly honest and kind man and I would definitely recommend his business. (Oh, and the problem was I ended up blowing a fuse because I turned off the switch labeled "AC/Heater" instead of the one I should have turned off labeled "FAU", so two of the wires ended up touching and that's not a good thing when the power is still on - which Dale was patient enough to explain. I learn something new every day!) read more

Our air conditioner quit working on Monday night. We were referred to DH by a friend, so we called Tuesday morning and he said he had a job in the valley and would stop by in the evening. He held true to his word and after sitting in traffic for probably hours, he showed up at our door at 8:45 pm and was able to fix our air in about 20 minutes! Saved us from a long, hot, uncomfortable night! He is fair, honest, and very reasonable! Could not be more pleased with the great service he provided. read more

In the middle of a horrific heat wave, our a/c stopped working. I called Dale who happened to be in my area. He came over very fast and quickly fixed our a/c. I needed him to speak with my insurance company who kept me on hold for a very long time. He was a gentleman and waited for the insurance company to answer my call and carried a conversion with a representative very patiently. I was very happy that I was so lucky to find him!!! read more
